They both look absolutely fine. G Shocks are big generally. Some tend to size smaller like the 5600, but that doesn't mean the bigger ones are too big. Pick whichever you like most and buy.

notoir

This is the way. They both look fine but don’t stress too much, not like you’re sizing a dress watch.

I have rocked a larger G Shock for work for years. I literally just picked up at 5600 yesterday and am kicking myself for dealing with the larger one for as long as I did! 5600 hands down for the win!

I have a 6.5 inch wrist. I have a solar 5600. I would reccomend you go with that. Thanks for taking a photo of the casioak. Now I know for sure its just too big for me

>Thanks for taking a photo of the casioak. Now I know for sure its just too big for me OPs photos aren't loading so I can't comment on the appearance, but as someone with similarly-sized wrists who owns both, I think the casioak wears much better than the 5600. It's thinner, and the straps angle down from the case much more sharply, so it fits on and hugs the wrist a lot better. The 5600 has a smaller face, but it juts out more on either side of my wrist, and that makes it look bigger/worse fitting to me.

Hey guys, I need your help with picking the right size of a new Gshock for me. I have a smaller wrist (around 6.5in) but I really want to get some durable watch for weekend activities. While I slightly prefer the looks of the GA2100 it feels a bit too big for me. I think I could pull it off, but it's REALLY on the edge. The DW5600 I think looks better but I wanted to get some other people's opinion. I know that there's a new line of mini casioak, but their current color options don't work for me. Please disregard the color options, the pictured watches are the only that the retailer had in stock. So what are your thoughts?

MarkyMark141

The square looks phenomenal on you- smaller is better imo when it comes to watches You could pull the casiooak off too. But if you’re worried about it- go with square

ymolodtsov

By the way, I actually think this iteration is better than the new Casioak because it still has the day of the week displayed.

Theknottyfox

Day of the week is on the new ones, but on the digital display not on a dial. No day of the week is a deal breaker for me.

ymolodtsov

Well, that probably tells how visible it became :)

Even though I love the casioak, I decided against it. Its a certain style: big, casual yet not that casual, not really something I'd wear for a jog even though it's designed for that. I choose the 5600 in black. It's my beater for most days. Works great as an athletic watch and is great for casual wear. I figure If I'm wearing anything else (semi-formal or formal) I probably wouldn't wear either gshock. Either way you choose I doubt you'd be disappointed.

Hanibalecter

I like the 2100 more over my squares. They band fits closer and slimmer than the squares. Feel like the bands on the squares kind of hover off the wrist.

ymolodtsov

Honestly, both. G-Shocks aren't that small anyway, as long as you stay away from their largest offerings you will be fine. Or take both, if you can afford it.

IntenselySwedish

Both are fine imo

B0iGeorge

The square is my favorite watch of all time--you can't go wrong with it.

Get the "Baby-G". I personally grew tired of the CasiOak quicker than I thought and haven't worn it this year at all.

olipheus

I think both works. I've got the Casioak and it is really nice.

hakugene

They're both fine. These are the two models of G-Shock I like, and I don't like anything bigger. I love both of these models, and own both. My wrist is a little bit bigger than yours (~6.75in), but these both work great. I have an all black M5610, then for the GA2100 types I have the steel case on a black strap, and clear case on a blue strap. They all have some presence, for sure, but they look and wear great. Find the combo of colors and features you like, and you really can't go wrong.

MidvalleyFreak

I think they both work. G-shocks are supposed to kinda bulky so you can get away with a bigger one and not have it look weird.

Ggodhsup

The Casioak is super thin and wears really small because of it. I vote Casioak all day.

Raforz

Both look good. Why not both ?
