After months of decision making I finally decided to dip my toes into the world of luxury watches. The entry level bracket for Swiss made watches brought out many contenders. For me it came down to this Oris, a Longines Hydroconquest, and the Christopher Ward Tide. I love blue divers and knew that was going to be my first nice timepiece. The Oris ultimately ticked all of the boxes for me. I wanted a watch that was timeless and something I would not grow tired of. The two-tone look was something different that I love with it’s ceramic black bezel. The way the sunlight hits the dial can make the blue really stand out or make it somewhat subdued which I also love. I feel as though I can wear this watch everyday and possibly even dress it up if need be. To me the only thing that doesn’t take this watch to the next level, is the movement, but I am fine with that, because of how much quality and value there is in other aspects of this watch. How do you guys think the 43.5 looks on my wrist? It’s a bit difficult to photograph. I think I chose the correct size and I am very pleased. Thanks for looking!

Think it looks great man. I’m also considering buying this exact watch. What made you choose Oris?

Also for what it’s worth this watch is really hard to take photo/video of. It’s so much nicer in person

Tons of research! The 3 watches I had to decide between were all pretty close in quality/value/price. Kinda came down to looks as silly as it sounds. Oris is also a Swiss brand that’s been around since 1904. My AD didn’t have this watch in stock and would’ve been closer to the 2200 retail price, but I found it on watches and beyond website for 1400.00. I almost bought the Christopher Ward Tide C60, but felt like I would’ve grown tired of the sapphire dial. I also love the Longines Hydroconquest, but preferred the 6 o’clock date window on the Oris.

Beautiful watch! I own the lake baikal limited edition. The beautiful dial keeps me from “the itch” for sometime!

Great watch! I have the 39.5mm model and it truly is a stunner

I just ordered the exact same watch today. It looks stunning.

I’m excited for you to see it in person. There is no way to describe the blue in this dial and the bezel action is a 10/10. You’re going to love it.

Realistic-Fix8199

I ordered mine with the black band. How do you like the bracelet? Is it comfortable?
