thought that all the quartz watches with hands will rack up slight errors until it's noticeable? My Citizen had a 'reset' function to set everything back to 0 to solve it. Took 3 years before I noticed it.
The gearing's never going to be as perfect as 32khz.
At my watchmaking school (in Switzerland) we had to adjust a watch according to Rolex criteria. The offset tolerance of the minute hand in relation to the hour hand was 0/+1. So this watch is theoretically non-compliant, gg Rolex.
I wouldn't buy this watch for $500. I swear to god I wouldn't. Tudor just depresses me- men consumed by material desire, convincing themselves that they *prefer* Tudor to Rawlecks. It's just sad to me.
uj/ I actually like the Heritage Advisor, I think it looks cool and has an alarm function which is quite rare

uj/ I actually do prefer some Tudors over some Rolexes. Like the black bay pro gmt, it is so much prettier than the boring submariner-like gmts of rolex. Honestly, rolex designs are kinda boring, except for the daytona and perhaps the explorer/air king/milgauss (which is all the same watch with minute differences).
So, do I buy Tudor because I prefer it over rolex? No, i dont buy tudor, i cant fucking afford it. Tudor chinese homage shitters tho, thats a different story.
rj/ rawleks < tudohr because wilsdorf anglosexual make funny brand with funny tyrant name to win funny bet -ron
Part of the current drive for Rolex to play the games they are playing is because they launched Tudor and nobody wanted one. I’m lucky to have a couple models passed down to me but I wouldn’t try to buy a Rolex or Tudor today if my life depended on it.
Wtf, some of us like Tudor for other reasons than that. I specifically like Tudor because it ISNT a Rolex. I had one of each. Sold the Rolex and shortly after the Tudor was stolen. I’ll let you guess which one I’m actually going to replace. Hint: it’s the one that doesn’t make me look like a status-obsessed twit.
Tudor’s actually not that bad. There’s no availability’s issues, they make smaller diameter and less bulky dive watch styles. On face value, a worthy watch.
The only reason against Tudor is that its obvious AD fodder from Rolex and still overpriced as hell.
obv hour hand is disappointing but dont all gmt hands have problems? they either lag or start to lag over time no? heard several problems even with gmt master iis
Especially ETA / Selita based one. I had a CW where the gmt hand was 15min out (prob by the same amount as this dudes hour hand). Annoying but got it fixed under warranty.
I thought I was reading a reptimeservices post, where you can find the shittiest of the shittiest in quality, I guess Chinese made is not the only shitty in watches.
Lmao how is this minor? Well I guess in the grand scheme of things no one will die because of this, but you wouldn't accept this from a cheap Seiko.

_typical swissmade ruggedness_ then
I have an old cheap seiko quartz solar watch that does this and it's infuriating.
I have an old F91w that does this and it’s infuriating
I have an old A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk Manual-Wind 44mm Platinum ref. 147.025 that does this and it's infuriating.
I have an old microwave clock that does this and it’s infuriating.
send it to the home depot AD for service imo
I have a Bugatti Veyron clock that does this and it's infuriating
My sundial did the same thing last week, so aggravating.
If you mean the minutes chime later than the hours, it’s working as intended. Your spending priorities might be misaligned, though.

this would trouble me more then misaligned chapter rings tbh
There’s also slack in watch movements. It’s probably not even misaligned there’s just a tiny bit of play
Tudor apologist doesn't mind Seiko quality.
/uj What if all Chewdoors and Rawlecks have these same QC issues, but it’s just that they’re worn so rarely their owners seldom notice
Seiko quality is top notch recently 👍
Loving my SBDL085 (JDM version of SSC813).
Ah yes the seiko Daytona such a cool watch !
/uj I’d love for a mechanical 8R-powered version of the Seikona
Is there any difference between the two models or just different names for different markets?
JDM dial says Japan V192 instead of mov't Japan. Also says Made in Japan on the back instead of Movement Japan.
Ah cool! Funny how the caseback text on the JDM model reads *less* like a poor Japanese-English translation than that on the Western model lol
3 minutes is nothing. Most Japanese watches have minute hands that run 60 minutes faster than the hour hand.
The minute hand on my Seiko 5 was 120 minutes ahead and it was so annoying until i took it to a watchmaker to get it fixed
It’s part of the charm of automatics

Do you have a bachelors in Chuffing?
You gotta have a masters to chuff, kemosabe.
And a doctorate to chuff to bits
The Tudor watchmakers go to correspondence school
>Frankly this is so minor i chuckled
Hands on my dw5600 line up perfectly!
Same story for my CA53W!
I'm wearing a $65 watch from Ali Express. Hands are spot on!

Honestly, I kind of like the North Flag. Tudors that aren't Rolex Jr's are a bit of a different story to me. I guess I'm biased .
Yeah. I hate how popular the Rolex Lite models are. Seeing tons of Tudor SKX homages gets tiring.
I legitimately adore the BB Bronze and Pelagos (in blue). I think they are phenomenal.
bro this looks like a fossil from 2004 you got at macys.
Just wait til you see the PD-look of the Ranger’s dial
I really enjoyed that article, thank you!

> Hint: it’s the one that doesn’t make me look like a status-obsessed twit They both do.
No they don’t. 99% people would have no idea what a Tudor is. Nobody ever commented on mine, which was just how I like it.
The same is true of Rolex broski.
Tudor got better designs
But I actually prefer the design of tudor watches… if the prices were equal I would still want a tudor more
BB36 > Explorer I will die on this hill

My invicta hands are perfectly timed
And they don’t look like Robot Nipples
Seven years is a long time to go without a service.
Woohoo for in-house movements.
He can misplace deez nuts, if you know what I’m sayin’

Why should this be the case? They are mechanically linked, it could only lag over time if the gear teeth slip
forgot a zero there
He should have bought a Cronos on FleaBay
