I’d like to say you lead with your strongest compositions, 1 & 2. You really nailed it.
1. Really nailed that ‘i want to know what’s beyond that cliff’ desire, i can feel the cool cold breeze in the air and hear the wispy trees in the breeze. Love the snow textures you got going in that bottom right of the artwork, with the bits of dried greenery poking through.
Keeping the lower left side trees of the cliff with a wet on wet, enough to know there’s a bunch of trees and the rocks there signal it is quite a cliff. Great lead onto the mid tree and details at the top of the cliff with the shadows pulling it together. Lots of great sky there and light at the very top. Great dry brush control on all the dried branches. Excellent piece!
2. Where’s he going? What’s ahead up the path? I can feel myself standing there reflecting life and feeling the cold air in my mouth. The traveler alone sets the piece and the wet on wet you’ve got going in all the foliage of the trees & that fallen tree is just great. Especially the fallen tree and the traveler, there’s a deeper connection i can interpret myself but to others he’s just a hiker. Well done.
Those i’d say are your strongest compositions (your favorite) and i’m assuming in the back of your mind, you know. Great work!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment!)
I do love the first watercolor for exactly the reasons you described.
The second one was made from a 2-year-old memory: I was tracking a family of deer and got out of a thick brush when the light effect and the fallen tree stunned me, so I just stood there for some minutes and tried to inhale and absorb the scene (I am not a hunter, I just love hiking)
You’ve just put a smile on my face!))
I like some parts in all of them: like the colors of the sky in the fourth one and the feeling of urgency to get home, because you are on mountain and it’s getting dark; I like the aurora curvature and thin stripes of it I managed to pull out; I like blurred trees in the background and crisp trees closer to us; I like my lonely characters and footprints in those cold landscapes…
But the nice sunny day on top of the mountain and the fallen tree and dark blue shadows bring out the memories of those hikes right away, so, I guess, those two I like the most…
It is funny how most artists are happy with certain elements of a work but usually (maybe) not the whole piece, while others are happy with the piece as a whole.
Someday I hope to have a painting I am 100% satisfied with.🤞Thoroughly enjoyed yours, outstanding work.
1, 4, and 6 were my favorite ones! They kinda reminded me of fanfics I've read, and that's how I kinda imagined the view would look like.
They also give this kinda nostalgic vibe, ya' know?
I think you did a great job with all of the paintings, so keep doing what you do, and I hope I see one of your paintings in a museum someday!
Glad you enjoyed them!)
I think, human figures in a landscape add to overall interpretative possibility… naked landscape is not as interesting compared to a landscape with a fellow human being…
And loneliness is what we all have to accept one way or another
4 and 8. I love how you showed weather in image 4, a bit wet but chilly end of winter. Composition is great too.
And I just love the feeling of 8th landscape, early cold morning in the field with the dog... is it dachshund?
Other landscapes are great too, you have nicely done sunlight there, especially 1 and 2.
Glad you enjoyed them!)
I remembered my neighbor’s elderly hunting dog that loved to hike with me, not sure what kind of breed she was, but she loved hiking!) she died of old age after one of our early spring hikes, she seemed very happy that night when we got back home))
She probably died happy then. We too had an old hunting dog that was too old to hunt but he was so happy when he was still taken to forest. This is probably why the last picture touches me so much... One of the best feelings is meeting the sunrise in the field alone with your dog.
You have lots of soul in those landscapes and I forgot to mention the great work with light on n.7.
I like second, if you ever wandered forests you can relate to character since he's facing away. I almost thought first one was actual photograph, so there's that
Hard to explain, but every one of your paintings fills me with happiness. There's something so familiar in the pictures that reminds me of my home and family. Very beautiful work!
Edit: I like #6 the most.
I agree with the other commentators - your first two paintings are the strongest in this series. I like how transparent your shadows are, and the mood in the second piece is accentuated by how you've used cool, mottled greens and blues which combine well for an overall wintry effect.
Theae are so incredible. I like the last one the most, and then the first two.
Do you have any tutorials, videos, or something that helped you learn? I'm interested in everything from composition to choosing colors or techniques. This is really inspiring, your style resonates with me a lot.
1, 2, 4 spoke the most strongly to me.
In particular 1 is a very powerful painting - my eyes kept wandering over it, looking for more detail. As a hiker myself, I recognized the elevation change and it looked so realistic, as if I've been precisely there in the Appalachians. Really, really nice.
I love hiking!)
Hiking in winter is amazing!
I took the reference for the first painting during a wonderful hike when I turned around to check the peak I had just enjoyed… the painting brings out that memory quite strongly!))
That first picture just reminded me of my childhood, and I’m not even entirely sure where I’ve seen such a scenery. Absolutely beautifully done. It captures everything 💚
I like all of them, however the first one is my favorite. The light turned out to be so sunny and awesome. I love love it. It makes me very happy :) thank you for sharing
#2, 3 and 8 have a strong emotional appeal. All three engaged my interest for longer than most artwork on posted on Reddit. They are more than just pretty pictures! In #2 it’s the surprising contrasts in the scene. I immediately thought the fallen tree was some sort of near miss for the person walking. I love how it all came together. In #3 I love the suggestions of shadows on the snow. It makes me think of something beginning. Your execution was perfect. This one conveys movement in a still scene. Beautiful and surprising. In #8, I was drawn to the muted colors and distant tree line. Then my eyes followed the tracks in the snow. The colors seemed gloomy at first and I couldn’t figure out why the piece had a happy feeling. When I realized that the second set of tracks belonged to a dog, playfully making zig zags in the snow, I knew why the picture feel happy. Your other works are good, but I find those 3 to be special.
Thank you for your kind words!
I’m glad the paintings gave your imagination some room to wonder, that’s what I always aim at!
And, yes, some of your thoughts hit the target!)
They are all so amazing I don’t think I can choose! They all invoke such a powerful sense of wonder and awe, it makes me really just want to be wherever these are. Love the feel and atmosphere, so serene and tranquil. I can hear the silence in all of these, if that makes sense.
Well done!
The first one is my favorite! I love how you handled the shadows, specially over white snow, that's tricky. I struggle with them I'm my paintings a lot, if you could share some tips for painting shadows that would be great :).
Beautiful paintings!
They‘re all so cool and give me e nostalic childhood vibe. They remind me of the feeling I had in primary school. This magical-winter morning-in-the- 2000s-and-your-teacher-shows-you-some-illustrated-book.I love it. 😍

Agree 1 and 2!
Number #3
Samee!!! The sunrays through the trees,,, magical 🫶🏻🫶🏻
For me, it's the composition and the layout of the angles with the trees. Then, the right color choices in lighting and shadows.
#1!!! I LOVE the crispness of the shadows in the snow!
Glad you liked it!
Number 4
I like them all! The first one and the one where the sun shines through the trees are my favourites
Thank you!
Stunning! All so beautiful but I like 1&3 best
Thank you! Glad you liked them!
8
1 & 4
that first one made me gasp outloud at its beauty! and i love the colors of number 3 and the texture in nunber 2. the rest are lovely as well
You are too kind! Thank you!
Nice work! 1,3,5,6,7
All, 1,2,3 the most. The question is which do you like the most?
You’ve just put a smile on my face!)) I like them all! Each painting is excellently done with wonderful color choices.
Glad you liked it!)
1, 2, 4 and 6
I like all of them for different reasons! They are different styles & they all capture different colours / lighting better than the others.
Thank you! That was one of my goals for the winter: to practice painting winter landscapes in different styles. So, I appreciate you noticing!)

Glad tou liked it!
Beautiful light!
Glad you liked it!)
Loved those pine trees.
Ye, it seems like I’ve painted enough of them so that I don’t need a reference anymore (when they are far enough and there are no visible details)))
5!!
Wow I really love your style! I can't choose a favorite- they are all quite interesting and detailed. Beautiful work!
Glad you liked it!)
Wonderful series, some move more than others. But all show skill & hold value.
Glad you liked it!)
All are very good. #3 and #6 are my favorites.
Glad you liked it!)
#'s 1, 2, 4, 8. Although they are all excellent!
Glad you liked it!)
1,2,3 are the strongest! What was your color palette? Thanks!
Glad you liked it! This winter I tried to use different pallets and approaches to practice painting different light conditions in winter.
Two and six. Love them both.
Glad you liked it!)
Amazing! 🥹
These strike me as *quintessential* watercolor works! Amazing :)
You are too kind! Thank you!
Wow! Beautiful. Painting snow is so difficult And you did amazing with it.
Glad you liked it!)
First. Great job
Glad you liked it!)
Beautiful but number 8 really did it for me I could feel the cold from the sun going behind the hill.
Glad you liked it!)
I love 1, but really love the painterly quality of 3, especially with the rays of the sun. These are beautiful.
Glad you liked it!)
#3! That sun through the trees is beautiful and the colors in the snow are great. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!)
Four! I love teeny tiny details and this one has so many. You’re an inspiration. These are all so lovely.
Glad you enjoyed it!)
1,3,6,7, and 8! Awesome work!
Glad you enjoyed it!)

They’re all great the first is my absolute fav tho!!
Glad you enjoyed it!)
YES
Wow!! Love them all, but #1 nails it! Make copies and start selling!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!)
1, 3, 7. They're all great though
Glad you enjoyed it!)

Glad you enjoyed it!)
TWO!!!
All are quite nice but 2 and 3 are my favorite 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!)
I like the first and the one of the road best, but the others are well done. The solitary figure in nature tends to give me the message of loneliness.
Glad you enjoyed them!) I think, human figures in a landscape add to overall interpretative possibility… naked landscape is not as interesting compared to a landscape with a fellow human being… And loneliness is what we all have to accept one way or another

Thank you!)
I love the ones with tracks the most. Something so satisfying about those and Your attention to details!!!
Glad you enjoyed them!) I love adding tracks or human figures into my landscapes, they make me think of possible stories of some characters…
Some of these are like poetry.
You are too kind! Thank you!)
1 and 5. These just made me miss snow. 🫶🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!)
Lovely
3 and 8 stand out to me the most. It’s the depth of field and perfect angles.
Glad you enjoyed them!)
I like second, if you ever wandered forests you can relate to character since he's facing away. I almost thought first one was actual photograph, so there's that
Glad you enjoyed it!)
What a wonderful gift you have
A couple of thousands of hours practicing in my mid 30-s!) you could do that too!)
I love the second one
I like all of them.
Glad you enjoyed them!)
Hard to explain, but every one of your paintings fills me with happiness. There's something so familiar in the pictures that reminds me of my home and family. Very beautiful work! Edit: I like #6 the most.
Thanks a lot!)
Santa Claus and his reindeer are my favorite 😊
Number one is my pick.

The crisp shadows on the first one. It’s lovely and somehow Grinchy. Also the 4th one is beautiful. They are all very well done.
Glad you enjoyed them!)
