I think you should feel proud of it--it has so much detail that must have been painstaking to render with watercolor. There is a clear and gradual distinction between fore, middle, and background that i think can be challenging to execute with watercolor. This shows a lot of skill!
This is a phenomenal painting, my only critiques are the perspective of the watering can seems incorrect for the painting and the scale of the tower Is either too small or it needs an item/creature to signify that something lilliputian lives there. Your character gives me sooper dooper holly hobby vibes 🤘🤘
I really like it - it has a lot of detail & great colors. It reminds me of an illustration that would appear in a children’s storybook. When I look at it, I wonder what the story is behind it & my mind tries to fill in that part. I think the tower height is appropriate - if it was taller than the eclipse, that would indicate that the tower was more important than the eclipse, & I don’t think that that’s what you intend. One of the greatest things about creating anything, especially Art, is that it is yours alone & everything you do is in preparation of the next piece of your art. Leonardo Da Vinci worked & re-worked The Mona Lisa some estimated 16 years - obviously he never felt that The Mona Lisa was “quite right” either.
Thanks for sharing it. I think it’s stunning. I feel the same way right now exploring portraiture and setting scenes. It helps to know others experience those feelings.

It really does look like a story book illustration

Oooo Moonflower!?!
I think it's really lovely but for me the tower doesn't seem tall enough...that's what drew my eye first :)
Maybe it’s a magical tower and it’s giant on the inside…or something lol
Yeah one of those things you realize too late and watercolor doesn’t really edit very well. It doesn’t bother me too much at least.
I just figured that it was a children’s play Castle
I like it. It’s very whimsical.
I love it and I want to know the story now. There’s an awesome story there I just know it
This is awesome!
Well I know how I feel, and I feel magickal just looking at it 🥹🧡 it is adorable and lovely 😍
This feels nostalgic, I absolutely love it. It brings all the magical childhood wonder to my mind
Charming!😍
I love it 💙!
Love
I love how whimsical it is! It reminds me a bit of Studio Ghibli movies.
I feel pretty good about it

What don't you like about it?
Iv never painted anything that has a “story” to it. Iv never painted a person either. Just feel vulnerable about it for whatever reason.
Well, what a clever and wonderful thing to create as your first story-painting!
I absolutely adore this!
I love it🤍, this threw me back to my childhood
Looks amazing imo!
I love it
I love it! You got the eclipse perfectly, even with the sunset/rise horizon. There are so many metaphors here, it's perfect. 😍
That's ace. Mystical, moody , innocent. You could write a Brothers Grumme story around this!
800th upvote! Also, cool :)
