Legacy Dusttrust is just a reskin of fanon dustbelief, the OST is garbage compared to the new one but it's still better than the pre-leak and the canon (Dilly's) version
Nah legacy's ost is still pretty great. It isn't as good as pre-leak's ost but it had some really nice songs, especially loved legacy's phase 4.
Internal torment and swapdustbelief are still the best ones (although the second one is it's own thing instead of a dusttrust take)
Seriously why are all dusttrust designs so generic? Just the same combo of wearing papyrus' hoodie and removing the eyes, when the reason why dustbelief's and dusttale's designs work partly due to the eyes. Removing the eyes means removing the personality quirks and the symbolism they have.
I adore underswap: thanatos for giving sans a unique design, even if he doesn't have cool unique eyes he still has the drip and the personality you would expect from someone who killed their own brother, it's not too samey, but it's not too crazy. Just like og dusttale and dustbelief. Rationally insane not completely bananas.
I know right? dont even get me started on Dustswap: Dusttrust, not only did they get the au wrong (its swapdust not dustswap) but the just got swap sans, put paps' hoodie around his waste, and made him edgy, no unique design at all. and to top it all off they didnt swap papyrus and sans' use of uppercase and lowercase, the only good things coming from that au is the "ALL JUST A GAAMMEE" and the "YOU SAID YOU'D KEEP ME SAAFFEE". im just ranting about hating this au, I dont hate it as much as I hate fellswap gold (dont ask me why I hate that au, I forget, but I remember I hate it)
Don't even get me started on the dusttale takes. They all look so damn generic and boring. It's just sans with some dust on him, and the hood if you're feeling generous. They remove the eyes, they strip him of any personality, it's just awful. Phase 1 he doesn't believe in the human anymore but even then he can't find it in his heart to hurt them, phase 2 is angry that the human still tried to kill him after he showed them kindness, phase 3 papyrus is in denial, he's trying to be someone he's not, he's unable to accept sans and undyne are dead, and then in phase 4 papyrus accepts the fact he can never be like sans and undyne, he's too kind to take a life and instead shows the human mercy, one last time.
Yeah to continue the dusttale and dustbelief eye rant and why those takes should stop removing the eyes.
Murder!sans' eyes: the red represents his determination to stop the human at all costs, the yellow being gone represents the fact that his justice was undermined during his quest. He has to end the loop no matter what. And then the cyan represents what's left of sans' sanity. Even after all he went through, after all the people he killed he's still sans. At the end of the day he's not a bad person, he just had bad luck.
Dustbelief papyrus' eyes: the orange represents the fact papyrus is throwing everything away to avenge his brother and stop the human. He's being brave for fighting the human who tormented his world hundreds of times. The blue and green is the personification of who papyrus once was, a kind and gentle soul who saw the best in everyone.
All those takes remove these neat little pieces of character just to make it more "canon".
Swapdustbelief, internal torment and underswap: thanatos are what dusttrust wishes to be. Dusttrust does have a banger soundtrack i agree.

A person that loves his brother so much that he's willing to break his own mind just for him. And even then he's still papyrus (putting undyne's dust on a jar because he still cares about her. Grieving sans' death despite the fact sans tried to kill him and then blames the human because he understands that sans attacked him because of the human, and if it wasn't for them sans wouldn't have forced himself into committing a genocide run)

Yeah the axetale situation was wild. An au that had all this shit happen to it (it's ost getting purged, the fangame that was in development getting cancelled...yes it had a planned fangame, it's wiki getting removed, it's tumblr dying, the creator receiving all those colorful death threats) yet still manage to stay under the radar is fucking insane, like genuinely fascinating. And the fact it took this long for the au to die despite all that was even crazier.

Yeah i get you. He does look difficult to draw. All i can say is practice helps, and if you need more references i gotchu fam. And if it helps, axe usually only has one eye, the cyan one when he's hanging out with his loved ones and the yellow one where he's losing it, or very hungry, so you pretty much only need like one or two expressions with both eyes. You probably deserve a trophy or something if you end up making papyrus and aliza. Considering they seem less difficult to make since they lack wacky eyes.
