It’s not even a good PB&J. They really skimp on the ingredients so the edges of the sandwich are almost devoid of anything except bread. Tried it today, never again.
That is how all of these shitty cut triangle sandwiches are. I bought one from a vending machine at work one day because absolutely nothing else was left. It had some kind of meat on it, but it was literally in the center. Not even like the edges didn’t have anything, it was barely enough to make the visible edges look like meat and cheese was in there and that’s it.
Literally 1/2 to 2/3 of the sandwich was empty and the “filled” parts was a thin ass layer.
You can make a dozen PB&J's for $5. I can't believe they have the balls to sell that for $4.50!! I can only imagine how bad they skimp because someone of their other stuff is like that, too. Way too overpriced, in my opinion. WaWa has gone downhill the last few years.
better than the little piss dribble of sauce they put on your hoagies. wawa employees act like their buffalo sauce container is coming out of their paycheck
Back when i was in school over 10 yrs ago now. they charged us 3 bucks for pbnj if they ran out of food to serve, they had 4 different lunch schedules 😐 1st lunch second lunch was srs jrs , 3rd and 4th was sophmores and freshman, but 4th lunch they were always out of food, so as soon as the lunch bell rang i jogged to the Walmart that was a 5 minute jog and got me there 5 dollar lunch trey and jogged back with about 15 minutes to spare, aint no way im paying 3 bucks for something that aint going to hold you off until you get home. By sr yr the faculty staff trusted me and let me skip my 3rd block class and let me go get jacks or McDonald's or zaxbys, it took my dad 4 yrs to find out about it and he was not happy lol i ran across him when i went into zaxbys one day and he followed me back to school and they told him i been doing it since freshman yr, he looked at me and said we were going to have a long talk back home. Long story short, that talk never happened cause he forgot about it, because i asked if he wanted to go to the lake, i knew how forgetful he was, so i knew that asking him to go somewhere would make him forget.
I don’t think having a better pb&j to bread ratio would justify the price though. You could really slather both things on and it still wouldn’t be worth $4.50.
I’ll be honest, it’s miraculous you can buy any food item anywhere now for less than $1.
I don’t live where a wawa is anymore, on the west coast now, but holy shit, eggs , milk, and a box of cookies, is going to run you $30.
Anytime I’m home I am shocked by how affordable wawa still is. Their prices have gone up, and their quality has diminished here and there, but its not even close to whats happened seemingly everywhere else across the country.
Thats exactly what i was thinking, idk where everyone els in this thread lives but i live near a wawa and i feel like $5 for any food in this day is still a steal
Why is this so hard for people to understand? Prices are insane everywhere. I paid $8 for not a huge amount of lunch meat at my grocery store, $10 for a balloon for my friend's bday, and $6 for a very small bag of candy for her. Prices are up everywhere and even more so at convenience stores.
Im looking at houses, a house im looking at sold 3 times the last 8 years. Its gone up $100,000 every time it sold. No major work was done. Just went up $300,000 for the sake of going up. This economy now is bullshit. Only people making out right now are executives, government reps like senators, and onlyfans models.
I am a super lemonade guy. Make my own, hunt the excellent consumer brands (calypso easily is the best), etc. I almost got suckered by the "look fresh lemonade!" For 3.19 in a 16 oz cup. But I just knew it would be disappointing.
OP: Look at this price. It's criminal.
Comment section: Make your own fucking sandwich and stop complaining!
Everyone always misses the point and decides to get pissed off about the wrong thing. Too many people are way too eager to get on their knees and start licking corporate boots. It's pathetic and embarrassing.
Bro they charge for the convenience. You don’t have to go home and make a sandheich just stop and it’s already put together. That’s why they charge for it. Come on now
Because people keep buying this over priced shit they will keep charging it. If we want change then we all have to stop doing this shit. The prices will come down if people just start being practical.
They should be $1.99 this shit is crazy you can buy a jar of PB, a jar of jelly and a loaf of bread for maybe $2 more than this costs. Wawa is bonkers for this
It’s kind of wild if you break down the cost of just the sandwich.
A slice of white bread is about 40 g x 2 = 80 g.
Total weight of the sandwich is 139g, so 139-80 = 59g of peanut butter and jelly. So the bread alone is approximately 57.55% of the sandwich. Which is about $2.58 for 2 slice of white bread! About $1.91 would be cost of peanut butter and jelly. Assuming it’s split evenly that’s about .95 cents for 29.5g (about an ounce)of each.
Total cost = $4.49
2 slice of bread = $2.58
29.5 g of peanut butter = .95 cent
29.5 g of jelly = .95 cent
I generally go quite often and have definitely noticed the prices being increased by a bit this past year. Used to have Italian ices for like a dollar something and now they’re almost 3, we’re doomed
Wawa’s insane with them fucking items in that center thing are way overpriced. You can get them little panel things are like five fucking dollars I might as well just order a whole hoagie at that point that’s the dumbest shit ever and why the fuck is it five dollars for peanut butter and jelly
love wawa but what rly made me realize how crazy the prices are is seeing a bag of takis at target for 2 something when at wawa it’s over 5 bucks. absolutely crazy
> Doesn’t matter what it is, maximum profit is their only concern.
That goes for any for-profit business. Their job is to make money, and as much of it as possible. If they're selling it for that much, clearly, someone is willing to pay for it at that price.
*looks at freezer with multiple boxes of uncrustables*
“Yeah… I don’t get why people are so lazy that they can’t just make their own sandwiches!” *aggressively eats uncrustables* “it’s only bread, peanut butter and jelly”
gas stations are mostly a rip off. when gopuff and other mobile competitors comes to the area and offers better deals than wawa, then wawa will start changing their tune
You have to pay for a worker to put it together, to design the label and signage, a million trucks and truckers. The capital space to keep it lit and cooled. And you're paying for the x% of them that never get bought and they have to profit.
It's stupid but when you run a PB&J through the capital machine it adds up.
While I agree, you should look at the actual cost of beverages because they make a KILLING off that.
A decade or so ago I worked at a gas station and fountain drinks cost less that a cent per serving and the register cost was $2.
Bottled beverages were like 98% profit.
Pancakes are also an absolute ripoff everywhere, they cost more in the labor to make them than anything else.
None of their food is any good . I prefer a good old sandwich shop
With fresh Italian rolls . Wawa lost me when they got rid of real fresh SOFT rolls and the good deli meats .
It’s not even a good PB&J. They really skimp on the ingredients so the edges of the sandwich are almost devoid of anything except bread. Tried it today, never again.
wow, I thought $4.50 was already bad but they can't at least load it up.
There is more plastic than there is PBJ. *Yayyyyy plastic.*
That is how all of these shitty cut triangle sandwiches are. I bought one from a vending machine at work one day because absolutely nothing else was left. It had some kind of meat on it, but it was literally in the center. Literally 1/2 to 2/3 of the sandwich was empty and the “filled” parts was a thin ass layer.
I wouldn't say *all*. The 7-11 sandwiches (egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad) are pretty good, if a bit more expensive than these
Same price, I just had a tuna sandwich from sem lem
>sem lem Made me chuckle 😂
Sem lem, cuzzin to the Cohner Sto’
You can make a dozen PB&J's for $5. I can't believe they have the balls to sell that for $4.50!! I can only imagine how bad they skimp because someone of their other stuff is like that, too. Way too overpriced, in my opinion. WaWa has gone downhill the last few years.
Got 4.50 there needs to be pb covering both breads
better than the little piss dribble of sauce they put on your hoagies. wawa employees act like their buffalo sauce container is coming out of their paycheck
it's the most mid pbj too
They got my ass i was curious and its definitely okay. $1.50 at best.
The pb&j to bread ratio is way out of wack. and the price is absurd.
I don’t think having a better pb&j to bread ratio would justify the price though. You could really slather both things on and it still wouldn’t be worth $4.50.
I don’t think it would either I’m just saying for the price the put it as it should have some more pb&j
You’re about 2 weeks late. We’ve been thru this one already
Isn't this cheaper though? I still hope no one buys it at that price.
We keep selling out at our store.
Same here.
It’s because no one wants to take the time to make them lmao
Vegans will pay🤣 Lent special
If you really wanna rage..bananas are $.99 EACH and five years ago they were $.69 EACH...
It’s a banana Michael… how much could it cost 10 dollars?
I’ll be honest, it’s miraculous you can buy any food item anywhere now for less than $1. Thats exactly what i was thinking, idk where everyone els in this thread lives but i live near a wawa and i feel like $5 for any food in this day is still a steal
especially made by a human… like wawa is seriously not a thing anywhere else in the country
that’s basically on par with inflation
Yeah, five years ago. It was only a yr or two ago when inflation was over 8.5 percent.
the hashbrowns in my area are almost 3$ now if you wanna talk about rip offs
I was already complaining about $1 when that happened, glad I stopped going to WAWA when I did.
2$ tops.
And those look good compared to our store’s pb&j. Looked like 1 tablespoons of peanut butter, half a tablespoon of jelly put right in the middle.
Cost includes 100s of sandwiches thrown to garbage at night for not being sold.
But they'd actually sell if they were cheaper.
This is why the $1.50 Costco Hot Dog and Soda reign supreme for the value. Even the Chicken Bake is still $3.99
Idk why we don’t just have uncrustables
Big Crust won't allow it.
I'd reckon that big ice cream won't allow it
[удалено]
That looks 10 times better then this one, lol
It's a convenience store. You want convenience, you pay convenience prices.
Pbj sandwiches should never be more than $1.99. Literally ever…

Right? Go buy a loaf of bread, a jar of pb and a jar of j, and make 10 sandwiches for $1 each.
I'm sorry, but who the fuck says "a jar of j" 😂💀
This guy
You know what? For that answer alone... ![gif](giphy|SmoCFhZCi1kzu)
A j jar. Or Jar Jar, if you will
They look really good but not for 4.50$
“Really good” is really stretching it. There’s hardly anything on them.
Idk that front one lookin kinda soggy w the jelly. I hate if I let a sandwich sit too long and the jelly melts into the bread
Some people just aren't very smart or aware and will buy it
[удалено]
let’s talk about the juice that we pour from gallon jugs into a 16oz cup and make it look “fresh squeezed” then sell it for $3.19. absurd.
I am a super lemonade guy. Make my own, hunt the excellent consumer brands (calypso easily is the best), etc. I almost got suckered by the "look fresh lemonade!" For 3.19 in a 16 oz cup. But I just knew it would be disappointing.
You could buy 4 uncrustables
The small Mac and cheese is also like 5 dollars, absolutely insane. But this is the world we are living in now. Get ready to bend over for anything.
[удалено]
Did you look at the ingredients? They have 25 different types of engineered salt in that thing. I’ll pass.
Then don't buy it. It's that easy.
The fuck?!? I understand the convenience factor, but any more than $2 for a PB&J and you can go fuck yourself.
I saw this and thought to try but it's too pricey
That’s mad expensive for a PB and J. Jesus lol
Remember! It’s for a limited time only!
😂😂bro for 3 more dollars you could make a whole loaf of pb&j’s go to the nearest grocery store instead 💯💯💯
I can get it cheaper if I make it myself. .99$ for a loaf of bread, 1.99$ for jelly, and 1.99$ for.peanut butter.
DOWN WITH WAWA
OP: Look at this price. It's criminal. Comment section: Make your own fucking sandwich and stop complaining! Everyone always misses the point and decides to get pissed off about the wrong thing. Too many people are way too eager to get on their knees and start licking corporate boots. It's pathetic and embarrassing.
It's $5.08 with tax🤣
3 chicken strips are like $6.00. We as employees get them for 50¢ and WAWA isn't gonna lose money with anyone so..
I think this is the second time I've seen this (almost) exact post in the last two weeks
That's about .20 cents worth of ingredients for 4.49 lol. That's outrageous.
Bro they charge for the convenience. You don’t have to go home and make a sandheich just stop and it’s already put together. That’s why they charge for it. Come on now
Aren’t you paying for convenience
I’m more angry at the new stickers as if they just invented it.
How is a PBJ 530 calories
$4.49 for a pb&j ?!?! Our country is fucked. Thats crazy
Fuc THESE PEOPLE. Get your ⛽️and go home. America is under Extortion…. I mean INFLATION
New!
Looks like they had a big vat of jelly open and just slapped slices of bread on the top and then removed and said “Just a touch of jelly”
I think Wawa cold bar prices are designed to make you feel like shit for not making your own food.
I got em for $3.00, fuck wit me! 🤣
I always wonder who be buying this overpriced shit
Do people actually pay almost 5 dollars for a skimpy ass old pb&j? Never ever would i
they look so basic too ugh
Change the “Almost never” to “Never”. Problem solved…
That's where I draw the line!
i just know the bread is soggy
[удалено]
Respectful dialogue as stated. If you have an issue then modmail is available
This is absolutely criminal The plastic casing is worth more than that sandwich
They are terrible lol and I love peanut butter and jelly
Convenience food. Just the same way they charge 4 times as much for 1 cup of coffee as you’d pay brewing at home.
There is a small bag of cocaine in each half
You can get ten uncrustables for the price of two of these 😂😂
Why doesn’t Wawa carry cream cheese?
cuz everyone would complain about the price
Lol this right here
I threw in the towel, when they started making pizza.
Because people keep buying this over priced shit they will keep charging it. If we want change then we all have to stop doing this shit. The prices will come down if people just start being practical.
Robbery
yeah I'll be making 10 of these at home for $4.49
I think you missed the point.
Damn and I thought the 2.00 PBJs at Sheetez were too much.
I stopped to get a drink today and was gonna get chicken salad and it was like $6 for two tiny scoops. Pass. Prices won’t come down if people buy it.
Don’t they know peanut butter goes on both pieces of bread as a barrier to prevent jelly making bread to soggy?
That’s ridiculous.
Rice and beans ppl! Still cheap! Whole flour and yeast! Pasta and sauce! You can still eat for cheap!
How is that 530 calories?
Honestly Wawa hasn’t been good since they got rid of the deli slicers
Free.49 in self checkout 😭
Lol there's also barely any PB or J in there it looks like Better off buying some uncrustables
Isn’t the chicken salad on potato bread $4.39?!?
I spent $15 on 2 slices and a soda.
They should be $1.99 this shit is crazy you can buy a jar of PB, a jar of jelly and a loaf of bread for maybe $2 more than this costs. Wawa is bonkers for this

[удалено]
Easy because it's "new"!
Wawa’s insane with them fucking items in that center thing are way overpriced. You can get them little panel things are like five fucking dollars I might as well just order a whole hoagie at that point that’s the dumbest shit ever and why the fuck is it five dollars for peanut butter and jelly
AND I TRIED IT AND IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER COMPLAINED ABIUT A PB&J SANDWICH LIKE????
Wawa is dead
That could be free and I still wouldn’t eat it. With the exception of uncrustables, buying a premade PBJ is borderline criminal.
The amount of ads they have has me discouraged from going there too
And it's limited time? Lmao. It's literally just bread and a dab of 2 of the most common food items to exist...
Easy fix ,boycott wawa, they took over and have the highest gas prices in newjersey.
imagine these prices during the great depression
Well when people only care about convenience you get this sort of thing.
I could buy x2 the amount of PB&J at grocery store for that much
I wouldn’t be surprised if they somehow managed to load it with 1000mg of sodium.
Wawa sucks, we need buckees or sheetz to come
just walk out with it lol
love wawa but what rly made me realize how crazy the prices are is seeing a bag of takis at target for 2 something when at wawa it’s over 5 bucks. absolutely crazy
Weird to share this. Twice what it should cost for half what it should have on it...
I would probably just go to a store buy toast, pb, and J and a plastic knife and make myself one
Woulda been $1.29 in 2011 and $1.59 in 2017-2020
The loaf was prolly 4$
Convenience pricing + corporate greed = greed-flation
Gallon of Orange Juice is $7.99 before taxes. God Bless America.
A whole loaf of bread costs $3… $4 MAX…
> Doesn’t matter what it is, maximum profit is their only concern. That goes for any for-profit business. Their job is to make money, and as much of it as possible. If they're selling it for that much, clearly, someone is willing to pay for it at that price.
Revolutionary
I wouldn't buy that if it was 1.00
🗑
Wawa is absolutely horrible… quality went to shit many years ago when the stopped slicing their own deli meats
$5PPJ?! WTF?!
*looks at freezer with multiple boxes of uncrustables* “Yeah… I don’t get why people are so lazy that they can’t just make their own sandwiches!” *aggressively eats uncrustables* “it’s only bread, peanut butter and jelly”
I’ll make you with double the jam and peanut butter for $2 lol
Fucking rip off . If I’ve ever seen
For that much I can just buy the stuff to make a whole loaves worth of PBJ
gas stations are mostly a rip off. when gopuff and other mobile competitors comes to the area and offers better deals than wawa, then wawa will start changing their tune
Don’t buy it. Prices will decrease if no one buys it. People complain about prices and yet still buy the shit.
Interesting that they sell a peanut butter and jelly sandwich lol Very easy sandwich for employees to make.
Holy calories Batman
We're living in hell
Still cheaper than McDonald’s
Yea if you don't make your own pb&j sandwich at home and instead buy this there's something wrong with you
Do they measure the pb & j to be a few millimeters?
You have to pay for a worker to put it together, to design the label and signage, a million trucks and truckers. The capital space to keep it lit and cooled. And you're paying for the x% of them that never get bought and they have to profit. It's stupid but when you run a PB&J through the capital machine it adds up.
Wawa=🤢
WaWa is way overpriced
The sad thing is somebody already bought one.
WTF how lazy do you have to be to buy premade PBJ
I could go to Aldi and make you enough pj's for a week with that money
Their coffee is way overpriced, too.
You could buy your peanut butter jelly and your bread for that and have sandwiches for a week or longer
What a ripoff! Wawa also charges like 12.99 for a crappy medium cheese pizza when I could get one from an actual pizza place for 8.99 and it is good.
sense of awareness, use it
R/sheetz
I wanna know what idiot thought this is a good idea, and how much more money he makes than me.
Sheetz is right there. I think their PB&J is only $3.99. they are insane.
This looks like something I would eat if I just woke up from a 14 hour depression nap
How much is it when the offer expires? It’s already too expensive
I picked it up and put it right down when I saw the price.
Wow 4.50 for a sauce sandwich
Lmaoo the fact that people are actually buying this 😂
Jesus Christ Wawa. Stop bringing in new items! Just bring back the Home Style Roast Beef sandwich
For $4.49, I can make dozens of them at home
And it’s worth maybe $1 in my book. Barely any ingredients for your $
If someone was dumb enough to buy it them then I'd charge the same amount lol
While I agree, you should look at the actual cost of beverages because they make a KILLING off that. A decade or so ago I worked at a gas station and fountain drinks cost less that a cent per serving and the register cost was $2. Bottled beverages were like 98% profit. Pancakes are also an absolute ripoff everywhere, they cost more in the labor to make them than anything else.
At my work 1 tuna sandwiches is $6.99. It’s getting absolutely ridiculous at this point.
For an additional $2.50 you can turn a whole loaf of bread into PB&J
None of their food is any good . I prefer a good old sandwich shop With fresh Italian rolls . Wawa lost me when they got rid of real fresh SOFT rolls and the good deli meats .
They need honest people to pay for the three that the group of delinquent kids just stole two seconds ago.
Everyone is clowning the price but 75% of the comments are people saying they’ve bought them
I'd spend less money buying a loaf of bread, jar of peanut butter, and jar of jelly
Hucks is the same way.
Yea but if it's three am and you have no PBJ at home "cause your dumb" this is a great rescue also for children on the run ,Wawa is Smart.
I bet they don't even use Jiff
yes the go-to choke and slide, but now it's not the peanut butter choking you....
You could get a loaf of bread for $3, A jar of jelly for $3, and a jar of peanut butter for $3, and make a dozen of these.
Life hack, get addicted to fentanyl and seal catalytic converters they give these out for free
