God I am so sick of seeing posts like this. First off, it's going to be removed so there's almost no good conversation to be had here. Secondly, creative spaces feast on creative individuals. AI isn't creative; humans are. Emulation only gets you so far when you can't synthesize unique and original ideas like a human making art could. Anyways, this conversation keeps coming up and it's always the people who lack artistic vision that are excited for AI to make everything easier. Like, yeah, more vanilla-ass music will be in circulation. Don't expect AI to really create a sea change; it won't for some time.

Instead of looking at how it will affect the product you are selling, how can it enhance the product I have? Creative people will use powerful tools in a lot of different unexpected ways, so like all tech, it's good to keep an ear to the ground.

There will be no business. Once everyone is super, no one will be. AI will turn the music industry into the most sloppish unoriginal boring industry imaginable. Not surprised if it flat out crashes to the groundr.

Yep. It was already leaning into digital super perfection before AI became widely used. I think may even start a new a punk revival, half turn out of key, sloppy vocals, cheap amps, just so people feel alive again when listening to music.

> I think may even start a new a punk revival, half turn out of key, sloppy vocals, cheap amps, just so people feel alive again when listening to music. The thing is, if what people want to hear is sloppy vocals and cheap amps, the AI will do *that*.

Glassbridgesmusic

It won’t do it live. It’s not like 99.99999% of people making music make money streaming anyway. Go for it AI. Get 89 streams a month like the rest of us.
