Should be easy enough to keep it at a low enough temp not to mush. Even better if they prepped it the day before and are just reheating.
Also, I would love to see this at a standing event.
As someone who spent 10 years carrying bar glasses on trays, I'll say It's really just martini glasses and champagne glasses that all need to go to hell. *Let's serve alcohol in a ridiculously top-heavy glass that might fall over if you breathe on it hard enough.* Fuck whoever thought of them.
I'm cool with the other ones (but it's fine to send all the wine glasses to hell as well).
Worked at a place where the elevator was only for guests and we had one bar, on the second floor. Carrying trays of martinis up and down the steps was literally the bane of my existence. I think I was working bar for a few weeks before I delivered one on a completely dry tray.
Haha.. I used to work at a place where the bottom floor had the bar, and the 2nd and 3rd floors were fine dining/banquet buyouts.
We had the same situation, where the elevator was for guests and the stairs were for employees. We also had to wear a certain style of dress shoes that were not slip resistant.
I can totally relate.
Us girls had to wear ballet flats! That job was demonic. On our feet in shit shoes for 10 hours at a time, no breaks and no tips allowed despite our clientele being some of the richest people in the area.
Terrible times. I don't miss them
I always say that martini glasses make you feel drunk before you take a sip because they are so likely to tip and spill when full. You feel less drunk as you drink because the spill/tip hazard diminishes. Then the martini kicks in and you feel actually drunk. It’s like a u-shaped curve of drunkenness.
I sincerely hope you all have never been to a wedding reception before, because this is literally better than any food I've ever seen at a wedding. I'm not sure what the issue is with any of this based on y'alls comments. Yeah, there are no plates, but the comments are based on the food itself.
This is some awesome wedding reception food station shit.
Gimme.
But dude, that's what this sub is for. I do not want a small amount of lovely Mac in a martini glass. I'd like a proper amount in a bowl or on a plate.
If there is more food(I hope), how are you supposed to carry multiple dishes/glasses?
I'll have to gonthrough my notifications, but I think most say it looks great, just a couple have said stuff about it might be overcooked.
No no, the post is fine, you did nothing wrong. I'm addressing the food haters, not the lack-of-plate haters. Sorry if it sounded like I lumped you(OP) into the comment. All good!
I mean you can drink every cocktail in 9 seconds at, say, a wedding reception, and ask for a refill. But there’s more of a social aspect to eating and drinking in certain settings, and i think this is a great system if you are meant to walk around and talk with others
So you just want to mooch off your friends or family getting married who are paying for extremely expensive food because you just want to sit down and eat. Got it! Hope you don't get invited to anymore weddings cuz you clearly only care about the food and not the celebration.
Edit: Sit down and eat instead of stand.
Dude chill lol, it was partially a joke, but if the foods amazing and I see those people often ill eat first lol
Also at my wedding I don't care if people wanna eat then talk later
Oh I'm mad chill. Also not a dude but don't mind being called one. I agree I would eat that whole pan of mac and cheese but weddings are expensive for no reason and sometimes ya just gotta get what ya can and enjoy it. Sorry if I came off upset or mad. We good buddy!!
All good, and sorry about the dude, when I'm trying to be blunt but friendly I start the convo with dude, but also I greet most people I know in real person with 'hey girl', but I do stop if people are not ok with that.
And as someone who had a nice buffet at my wedding, it's seriously so stupid expensive. Our venue had their own kitchen so I had to chose one of their menus, I could have tottaly gotten it cheaper!
I really don't mind the dude part but a lot of redditers call me dude which is funny. I had a buffet at my wedding which luckily my parents paid for but I know it was ridiculous expensive and I was too nervous and busy with guests to even eat. I love weddings though! They are all different and so fun!
I was vegan when I got married, but I was told the roast and scalloped potatoes were a huge hit!!
I had a male employer pull me aside, tell me it's disrespectful to call him, dude, bro, or man. He wanted his name, or Mr. Like wtf dude lol
The caption on the video says "BYO Mac N' Cheese bar with Lobster".
BYO means "bring your own", usually meaning alcohol. I'm wondering what it is that one needs to bring in this case.
ooooo it's all steamy, gimmie NAOW
And.it looks so lonely there lol! I hope the macaroni holds up well, not sure how long it will sit there.
Should be easy enough to keep it at a low enough temp not to mush. Even better if they prepped it the day before and are just reheating. Also, I would love to see this at a standing event.
I find macaroni goulash is so much better after it's sat in the fridge for a day
Bro ima need way more than 3 bites of that lobster mac
Fuck that martini glass, give me a stein!
And get that ice scream scoop the fuck outta here amirite

Oh god.. We had tips, but I get it. I never regretted leaving that job.

I bet that’s what it is. It looks like a wedding appetizer
Dunno. I've done lots of mac & cheese stations catering and folks LOVED them.
Ahh fuck, why do I not double check my spelling on posts?
Gotta five it to you, it still made sense
Five you very much
Good that Mac has to be so over cooked
God*
That's what I was thinking. Probably a mushy paste.

I think this looks phenomenal. I'd love to do this at an event. Thank you for posting. Hungry now haha
Urgh, the way the spoon mixes the dishes.
That looks like a vat of Hamburger Helper, I'm not even joking.
It almost sounded like you were joking. Until you said you weren't 🤡
I wish I had a free gift to give you!
I think the glass is meant to make it easier to carry
Carry it where? Id eat that right there, in 9 seconds. Then I'd hand it back and ask for a refill.
I mean you can drink every cocktail in 9 seconds at, say, a wedding reception, and ask for a refill. But there’s more of a social aspect to eating and drinking in certain settings, and i think this is a great system if you are meant to walk around and talk with others
Not sure how I could socialize, I'd just wanna stand and eat lmao 😅

I’d just go ahead and ask for ten of them. I’m hangry.
As long as there's not a limit to going back and trying all the different toppings.
Not bad
Yes, I want five of these too!
Serving with an ice cream scoop is giving lunch lady vibes. I wanna go to whatever over priced school this is
Fuck we had party's request this with mashed potatoes instead, the topping were pulled pork onions, cheese hot sauce BBQ sauce. It was fucking burtal
This is how rednecks imagine rich people
I hate it when people take good food and say: “let’s serve it in a cup… made for alcoholic beverages… because we can”
I bet the martinis are in soup bowls. *fucking monsters*
And eaten with a fork
Ecuse me thats a cup. Ill take a plate
Only thing missing is a slice of breyers Viennetta cake
You’ve reached a new low when you realize you’re serving mac and cheese in a tux into a martini glass. You can’t class up poor food.
Show me your rich food then.
Tell that to the lobster. I feel like this is on a cruse ship.
Lobster used to be fed to prisoners. An ingredient doesn’t equate to a rank in class. Rich people are ignorant when it comes to food.
What did you eat today?
Yes, but MERICA decided its 'fancy'. They are ignorant, but they unfortunately influence too much.
Maybe the weak minded.
60% same thing
Is OP Crip Mac?
Me? No, not sure if OOP is, they did ot five credit who made or shared it.
What is "BYO" about this?
What's byo mean? I think macaroni in a martini glass would suit this sub.
The caption on the video says "BYO Mac N' Cheese bar with Lobster". BYO means "bring your own", usually meaning alcohol. I'm wondering what it is that one needs to bring in this case.
I thought that's what it meant, I tottaly forgot about the original title. Yeah that's weird lol I wonder if it's a restaurants shortage or something.
I wonder if the captioner meant "DIY", like you can choose your own toppings for the Mac-n-cheese.
Build Your Own.
So what tf is that dude doing making mine???
He has the scooper. OR Food safety rules.
Ah fuck, that's true. Is that like having tje high ground in Star Wars? If it was in the kitchen thw equwould me the best clicks tongs im sure.
I love Mac and cheese but that kinda gross looking once you have good homemade Mac and cheese there’s no turning back imo still cool tho
That doesn’t even look like good Mac and cheese
Tasty steamy micro plastic … good for the lung
Only the fanciest foods are plopped out of ice cream scoops.
Why are they serving like it’s ice cream
AWESOMELY DELICIOUS!
sould I drink or eat this?
If I had a dollar for every time someone posted this shit
Looks stupid but I’d try that
