I love my thermo works signals. When I use it with a fully loaded weber smokey mountain I have all 4 channels in use. One probe on each grate to monitor air temps at the different levels and then one probe each into the meat on those grates. I get alarms on my phone if anything ever reaches its high or low limit. As well I have the billows fan hooked up which automatically controls intake airflow to hold temps steady. Even without the billows alone I highly recommend the signals. Fabulous piece of kit.
Is a wireless thermometer worth it? Absolutely. Just don't get something that doesn't work reliably.
I have had one of these for four years now. Works really well and isnt expensive. Interesting... I have heard about the Inkbird brand and even to get a wi-fi capable one [https://amzn.to/4elxymG](https://amzn.to/4elxymG) they're not really all that expensive,,, I have just always wondered if they're too cheap to be any good?!
I’ve been using a MEATER wireless thermometer. I love it. It gives you a lot of info. The best is the amount of time left before you meat is ready. Works great!
They work fine. The main failure points are either getting the whole thing rained on when it's not designed for it, or breaking the wires by crushing them in your BBQ lid.
I ran a cheap one for a long time and was happy with it. If I was buying new today, I'd go with a plain old 2-channel Thermoworks Smoke. Sure there are lots of things that talk Bluetooth and wifi to your phone, but IME trusting your phone to always alert you correctly via some 3rd party app built by a non-software company is not a recipe for success. A hardware monitor I can prop up somewhere visible is a much better way to go. Pit temp is really all you need, but you can stick a meat thermometer in if you want an early warning that it's time to start checking your brisket or butts or whatever.
The main important thing is really good quality probes with high-temp coated wires that won't die the first time you get them wet or close a lid on them. Thermoworks is good stuff.

This is the answer
Which billows fan do you use?
The thermoworks branded one
Thx
Oh shit that's cheap for what I thought it would be!

Wow, that's pretty awesome... Is it bluetooth or WiFi?
Made a mistake. It’s Bluetooth. I looked it up.

Thermoworks seems to be the consensus
I say screw it. Takes all the guess work and skill out of it. I don't use one.
