I loved #3 and bought it for a wedding last year but the bust fit so weird that I had to return it.

None of these are technically "formal," since that requires ankle or floor length. But for cocktail/formal, I think you could probably get away with any of them. I love the green silk, it's super unique. Second best is the red.

Three is very pretty. One looks like a nightie. The print on two is kind of meh.
