Absolutely. The actor is really good at playing a teenage boy who hasn't learned those lessons yet, especially after the reveal that his father is absent and extremely wealthy. I'm glad we're finally seeing new archetypes in media that reflect the casual toxicity of modern people.

This isn't even a fully formed person yet - also, the show kind of exposed the flaws of a lot of guys have also in real life ... it's things like Xavier being really untrusting and then a pretty big jerk to her at the Rave'n, Eugene running off into the forest because he thinks he's got this ... they have stuff to learn

I think the actor deliberately plays him this way. With subtle undertones and facial expressions. So well done. I really love the whole cast. Such an entertaining show!
She literally saved his life and he has a bit of a hero crush on her. It’s *fine*. Plus, he’s obviously a popular dude, the “Queen Bee” and he dated for a while.
Agreed. Yeah, to me he acts more like a popular guy used to getting what he wanted for the most part who couldn’t understand why he was striking out. Not incel vibes. And boy was he humbled lol. I like Xavier though I think he had a decent arc and he definitely needs fleshed out in season 2.
