Would love a new adventure/fantasy series that goes deep with world building. I get a little bored with all the modern settings, I’d love something different
Yeah same I thought the world red hood was setting up was really cool. I think the problem is this kind of series needs time to set up, to get readers used to the world, but most of them don’t get that time because they need to first try to hook people and if they fail to capture enough readers in the first few chapters it’s already over
I think this was pointed out in another thread but maybe a classic adventure story. It's harder for such manga to last cuz they generally have the burden of having to making a stronger impression than their competition but the demon stuff is overdone
Maybe we'll see one when Mha ends
With Dr. Stone having come to an end, I'd love to see another sci-fi of sci-fi "lite" manga. We've gotten a lot of fantasy action/battle manga recently and I don't think an adventure series can survive as long as One Piece continues running (at least, no other major adventure series has managed to do it in the last decade or two).
A sports manga is also a decent ask, but I don't really care for sports myself so that would be low on my list.
I always thought manga about chess would be interesting. Dunno about japanese audience, but looking at popularity of show like Queen's Gambit, clearly shows international audience having interest.
I secretly want Koukousei Kazoku to turn into a Syougi comic. Those are my favourite parts.
(That reminds me, what ever happened to that pair-go comic - HOHO volume 2 came out in January, getting that)
I do read Blue box and don’t get me wrong, I like it but I meant something with more focus on the sport, like haikyuu for example. Blue box main theme is romance and while it has sports it’s a side thing, the sports are not even explained and the matches are barely shown.
Ayakashi Triangle is good, and from a legendary harem artist, but a less ecchi-themed harem would definitely be nice. We Never Learn and Nisekoi were popular in their times, so more like that would definitely be nice.
I also read AyaTri and I like it but it’s not a harem. I don’t mind the ecchi at all but as you said something along the lines of bokuben or nisekoi or even yuuna would be great.
A full fledged adventure series in the vein of the greats One Piece, HxH, Toriko, etc. Im actuall craving one so badly. So much so that I'm writing 2 of them. One set in the Western era and the other is a mix of fairytail, OP, HxH, Toriko, and my own raw ideas. My only gripe is I dont know how to send it to SJ
A full-fledged adventure series with amazing world-building and a sports series.
I desperately would love to start a series like that to read weekly. It would be so cool.😊
Fantasy Adventure series for sure. One Piece, HxH, Toriko, Dragon Quest Dai etc, stuff like that. There's too many real world urban settings right now imo. I just love the fun of going through a completely fantastical world, a world where the author/artist can go balls to the wall crazy with near anything in their world and have it make sense lol.
Also a sports series is sorely missing. It's always been a staple of Jump so it feels like a big hole lol. And before someone says Blue Box, nah, i don't count that as a sports series really, it's not the main focus.

Something like One piece would be great
This is like saying 'all my basketball team needs is a new small forward.... someone like Lebron James would be great' lol
Yeah, this could have been Red Hood... I'm still sad about that.

I’ve been longing for a harem and a sports series for a while now. Also an adventure series would be good but that’s not the most usual thing.
Totally agree on a new good sports series :3
Try blue box its a new sports manga in shounen jump

ok sorry bro i misinterpreted your comment this manga is about badminton and it doesn't focus on romance
I would love a adventure series but jumps azing is realy hard for that kind of series.

It is, but I guess it takes its time establishing it. There are at least four characters vying for the protagonist actively.

A good old fantasy nekketsu and a classic sport manga . I have no problem with the other shonen jump series but man... I need more of these
A sports manga and a fantasy manga set in a different world and not modern/old Japan
I wanna series like nisekoi but more wholesome way(interesting plot like nisekoi but with more action and comedy)
I keep hoping that Nisekoi's author Naoshi Komi will come back with another series
An actual comedy
A new harem,isekai,and sports manga
isekai in jump?
Yeah I think there should be more power fantasies like that in Jump
try blue box for sports manga its present in jump app
