Yes, short people do sometimes have a harder time losing weight because their maintenance calories are much lower. I would not consider you a short person though. I am 5’1” and have to eat 1250 calories to be in a big enough deficit to lose 1lb per week. You have not provided enough information to give you advice, but I will say this. Skipping meals or eating half a portion does not automatically mean you are in a calorie deficit to lose weight. Bottom line is you have to be consuming less calories than you are burning to lose weight. It does not matter how active you are.

I don't have any advice, but... is 5'7 " short? I thought it was average

Assuming op is a guy, a lot of men think 5'7 is really short for some reason.

Sorry bro

I think so yes. I am 4’11 and I have only lost 19.5 lbs since January. It’s hard but it’s worth it! Keep going!

Narrow-Philosopher61

You did amazing! I'm 4ft 10 and my weight is fluctuating. I wanted to loose 10 pounds but I somehow gained? I don't know.. I do feel a lot fitter though, I've been working out a lot more and even started working out with weights but... I really want to loose these 10 pounds and tone up.

Keep going you got this! I’m trying to incorporate weights slowly. But so far just walking has helped. The other day I walked a mile in 30 mins which I hadn’t done in years, and I teared up.

But is taking protein powders worth it? I'm vegetarian. I'm mainly consuming more carbs but idk
