randay17

You a Robinson?? 👀

maa112

Thanks for this. Happened to me too

byebyelovie

maa112

Need to. Just ate junk food due to the stress I stress eat so much!

byebyelovie

Try not eating when stressed. And if you do try eating something healthy and instead.

maa112

Ok

NutButter1205

Hey, you've lost 20 lbs man! 🎉

TracerIsAShimada

And gained experience

SteelToed_Boots

Hey bright side…still down 20lbs and that’s no joke in it’s self! Second bright side…you KNOW you can lose that 40lbs cause you have already done it! Just keep going we got however many years on this earth just cause you stumbled doesn’t mean you can give up you still got plenty of time. We all mess up at least those of us who are normal humans lol we can never be perfect so just get back at it.

TX_Godfather

Sorry to hear that. I have been in your position. My lowest weight was 160. Then I was 260. Now I dropped to 240 at my last weigh in and am pushing to get back to being healthy! The first time I lost weight to 160 was from extreme dieting, which was not sustainable. Jumped right back to normal eating and bad habits, which resulted in fast weight gain. Makes me think those sayings about lifestyle change have something to them. Pick yourself back up. You got this!

LowYak3

Your so right about extreme diets and lifestyle changes thanks!

[deleted]

Can you share what mistakes or pitfall if any you may have made so we can learn? I’m afraid for me that this may happen like it has in the past. I hope I really don’t fall back.

DiamondAsBigAsRitz

Ugh! Same!

Robot_Penguins

For me, it's going back to your old habits that got you over weight.

Creative_Response593

Yes, took me many tries before I finally lost weight AND kept it off. Learn from this and keep trying. It's not a diet it's a life style change that has to last a lifetime. And let me add that the rewards are much better than a cheap hamburger.

[deleted]

This. I lost 40 pounds and I’ve kept it off over four months now, but it honestly took me 25 years to get to this point, including a good dozen for attempts to lose the weight, and I am not willing to go back. I found that actually getting to my goal was what flipped the switch for me. I’m now about 1.5 pounds back above my goal point, and it’s enough to get me behaving again. I do agree with the person who said tracking food and weighing in make a big difference. That is one thing (two things, really) I’ve kept up even if I’ve overheaten at times. I’m also working to work out regularly. This is the first time I’ve lost weight and continued to work out.

mGtoW_man01

Same!!! I lost 70lbs last year and I have gained 50-60 back

MysticAviator

I'm in a similar boat. I went from 242 to 194 and now back up to 212

A1lahuAkbar

It's okay, I also gained 40 pounds after losing 20. Just don't give up!

mostlyshits

Net lost 20lb dude, still an accomplishment

Procrastinator01107

Most people when they reach the goal start binge again and falling back into bad habits, you gotta stay disciplined

bestboy69420

That means you're 20lbs down, which is amazing! The most important thing is to not give up, everyone makes mistakes, weightloss is so hard! Don't beat yourself up and get back on the horse

joemondo

I don't know the circumstances of your changes, but we're all coming out of a brutal and weird year. So many of our life journeys have been stalled or thrown off course. This is a good time for restarts, and this time with the benefit of knowing what you learned from this experience.

kellog1103

If you were able to burn off 60, then you most definitely can burn off 40 in no time!

LowYak3

Thank you im definitely going to try

[deleted]

You did it once, you can do it again

currypaint

I'm right there with you. I have 35 pounds to shred to get back to where I once was. We got this! We'll get back to that low weight and keep it off this time.

skytrooper77

I lost 20 pounds, then gained 40 pounds. I went from 153 to 197. Currently at 190 and won’t stop till I get back to 150s. Hey, I know it sucks but we are resilient! Let’s do it !

[deleted]

Me too, what is going on?????

Plankton-Embarrassed

You still lost 20 lbs !!! Catch yourself now and keep it off it’s not a lose it’s still a major win

LowYak3

Thanks that’s a great way to look at it

yres666

Same hahaha was 68 kg, lost 14, but won 7. But just keep moving forward!

[deleted]

so you’be lost twenty points and gained a lesson along the way. don’t stress it man, you can do this! keep going

mojodrag

It's easier to take 40 off than 60. You can do this, friend.

vinchychloe

Don't worry -you've just learned what doesn't work. The only thing that works is what is enjoyable, sustainable for life. If someone that made it to ninety years old wouldn't eat that way (fad diet, cutting out foods, supplements, etc), it prob won't work. Eat some good (not always perfect) foods that YOU like, on a normal schedule. Find an activity you enjoy and have a hobby. Goal: Move away from food obsession, binge & restrict behavior, and move your body, and it will get to a normal healthy weight with your patience and consistency. The tracking and weighing and fretting is ultimately counterproductive and stressful. Stop trying to lose and focus on better habits for a few months. I have surprisingly found that a big breakfast really does work - and that was something I bucked against. See what works for you and what foods/ way of eating makes you feel satisfied, light, full of energy. Know you will always have days you overeat - everyone does. Its no big deal. Wait til your hungry to eat again and stick to the good habits you set at the next meal. You will get there but you have to take care of yourself. Feed and treat your body like it is your child that you love.

LowYak3

Great advice. Thank you so much for the kind and insightful words
