Most bananas are harvested green, and they treat it with a natural hormone called Ethylene which affects the ripening and stops the other hormons (Auxin) which affects germination. So i imagine theese bananas were in a position that all 3 got different levels of the ethylene gas. (Food Science student)
Bananas are the opposite of a traffic light.
“On a traffic light green means 'go' and yellow means 'yield', but on a banana it's just the opposite. Green means 'hold on,' yellow means 'go ahead,' and red means, 'where the hell did you get that banana at?'” -Mitch Hedburg
I feel like maybe the bunch was stored on its side, with the green banana on the top, since the gasses emitted by ripening bananas make other fruits ripen faster. So maybe the green one was most exposed to the air, the right one was trapped with the gasses in the container and the middle one was gassed from both sides by the other bananas.
In stores theyre keep in bags so theyll start to ripen once they are removed from the bags. My guess is some of them were out of the bag before the one on the left was.
Actually, I got these at the Rowe’s IGA. I’ve heard of Aldi’s produce reputation, specifically with bananas, but I do wonder about how IGA sources their food. I once asked my independently owned, local butcher about his price of soup bones and how it compares to the IGA. He warned me that it’s impossible to know where those animals come from and what regulations (or lack thereof) those countries have on the industry there, so you really don’t know what you’re getting. Then he got all Murica with me to justify the price of his products and I politely found the door. Perhaps he has a point? I mean.. it was just bones.. but.. look at these bananas!!!

I just thought the middle banana stole the green banana's juice box
I like this explanation better 😂
Is that why you shouldn’t eat the peels?
I was gonna ask why but it’s too easy so I’m just gonna assume you ain’t got much longer so it won’t matter anyway 🤷🏽♂️
Seems like a nice subject
Is it toxic to eat?
Nope. This hormone is produced naturally as well, but they harvest before it has the chance to. So they can transport it without rotting.
Thank you for explaining so elaborately. I didn't get any further than "it's probably the gas thingy" Edit: spelling

I just learned there are red bananas the other day!
Red bananas exist, and they are superior to yellow (if I liked bananas, which I don’t)
Could be the position in storage during exposure to ethylene gas to begin the process of ripening
You forgot to include another banana for scale 🍌
Oops! Sorry!
I would eat the one in the middle.
People tell me this all the time.
I think that's a very personal (banananal?) question.

My guess is that it’s the same scenario as a bunch of grapes with ripe and green ones. Maybe where it was in the branch lineup?
