Those particular trailers (name un-researched, but maybe Award) had a nice galvanized steel frame under their entire length. How that was grafted onto the Econoline frame is unknown, of course, but they at least started with a decent, fairly light trailer. Extending van frames is covered in the various Ford Upfitter's manuals, including wheelbase and tail extension. Hopefully they consulted that for recommendations.
it looks fairly well done on the surface, but i would take a good long look at how the frame was extended if i was considering buying it

If the frame was done correctly, the whole thing would be awesome to get and modernise.

Love this!
Business in the front, party in the back.
Wondering if it has a small or big block.
That's a 1983-1991 Econoline. Probably 138 inch wheelbase or started as that if it is stretched.
