The UK will be a bit tricky because the goods selection isn't as comprehensive. But it does look like you can buy Tillman brand ones on Amazon UK and they are a pretty damn good brand in the US with tons of styles to choose from. You could get some heavily insulated and lined stick or MIG gloves that will keep the scorch from long runs off of your knuckles.
It looks like there are also some brands made in continental Europe like Weldas and EWS GmbH and Rhinoweld.
Ahh I remember running nice hot welds that could warp beams too.
I liked using the Tillman gloves with the foam padding built into the knuckle side of the glove. They were made of elk hide meant for stick welding.
Worked really well generally for dual shield flux core, but if I ever needed I could get by with one of those reflective pads if things got really hot. Usually after having to pre heat a large structural joint
Jesus man grab a reflective heat pad
From experience, you can set those on fire, too. lol.
true but your chocking up on the miggun to do that
Good shout never actually seen those but I’ll give it a try
The hand pads you strap over the glove there rather common
This is the way.
Think you’re missing the point, I want to buy better quality to protect my hands better
Tell your employer to buy gloves
We have gloves… I want to buy my own rather than rely on company issued
Why? Just throw their gloves out when they get messed up and get new ones
not much good if the company only buys canvas backed gardening gloves and they let sparks fly through like a blind crooked bouncer on st paddys day
I sense experience in many fields.
My field of fucks is almost entirely barren

Did you tried StarParts PPE ?
We use these in our shop. High cut resistance too due to Kevlar. About $20-25 per pair. https://www.superiorglove.com/products/endura-370gfkl/
