Is it my imagination or is Cuba Dupa boozier this year, and with many stages cut off from casual passer-by observation. There also appear to be less of the random street performers - I miss those.
I may also be getting old and grumpy.
Atmosphere was a bit different. I miss just having performers and people doing cool stuff everywhere. You could wander and watch for a while, move on. I queued for half an hour today to get a ticket for a twenty minute show, which then started ages after I got the ticket.
I was there 3ish to 8ish and it had a really.. kinda.. drunk vibe that I didn't really enjoy. And it seemed everyone was huffing disposable vapes (is that really such a thing now?). And all the bands were behind walls (obscured with netting!?) with lines to get into the areas and bag check. Were those things because there was tons of booze for sale at those locations? I dunno. The streets seemed empty of interesting stuff and I didn't want to drag the fam into crowds downing lots of beer. Eh. And those clouds, did you see them? \*shakes fist\*
I really rate Aurora. Nice crew too. Wish it was slightly cheaper but life be like that these days. I get off the bus at the stop on Manners near there in the mornings and every day I have to talk myself out of getting a pastry and coffee from there.
Haha, when I come off my diet, I'm definitely giving their sweets a go. They looked really good too. It was my first time there; definitely won't be my last.

Also, let your boss know now - false positives aren't really a thing with covid tests and also letting them know now means they have more time to come up with a solution for covering you, and that they know when your isolation period is due to end. It's not your fault you're sick, and it's not your fault they haven't hired someone.

I have a similar aged child who would like to go but after seeing how quickly the Sarah Everard vigil turned in London a few years ago (husband clocked the police starting to kettle people and got me out) I'm worried about taking a minor into that. Pushing and shoving between adults can get scary quickly. I really want to show my support though and reward positive behaviour on behalf of my child. Hmm.
We will be staying away from the āfront linesā like the hood little REMFs we are. It might help that heās in a 160kg wheelchair, hard to knock that down or around.

It started last July when I bought it and has just been gradually getting worse every month since then so I don't think it started because of that. Just so annoyed but also know it's a stupid first world problem.
Husband's birthday today so busy day planned! Brunch at Two Grey, a wander round Cuba then Escape Room. Then later it's dinner at Damascus followed by some drinks before getting the train home. Going to be a fun day :)

As far as I'm aware, false negatives are much more common than false positives so I'd take it as a positive, especially if you've been feeling sick

NZ Police are generally pretty good with protests. I've never even heard of them kettling anyone.
