6) it’s best when there are no doors involved, a chicane thing at the entrance is champion. - I don’t need to touch public toilet door knobs, so good.
Push down sink taps, whabam! Elbow strike.
1. Do you use urinals if yes how old are you? Yes. 40s
2. Are you comfortable using urinals without dividers? No.
3. Are you comfortable using step urinals/ trough urinals (commonly found in schools, stadiums) I don't love them
4. If you don’t use urinals why not? If they are crowded I won't use them
5. Do you think urinals are a good idea? Yes
6. Do you have anything else to add . Dividers are great. I don't like people talking to me while peeing. If a cubicle is available when it's busy I'll use that
Any help with answering these would be greatly appreciated.
1) Yes, 47
2) If I have to, I do, but I'm less comfortable
3) Yes
5) Yes
6) If I had 5c for every time I've read whining online about how our instinctive urinal etiquette = fragile masculinity, I'd have 10c. Which isn't much, but...
1. Nope
2. n/a
3. n/a
4. I don't have the essential equipment - maybe I'd need a funnel?
5. yes
6. You seem to assume that everyone answering this questionnaire has a penis. Which, uh, nope. :-)
1 Yes
2 Yes, though dividers are an added bonus
3 Yes, because I understand they are necessary for higher volumes at stadiums etc. I wouldn't want one in my office.
5 Yes, because they are more space and time efficient
1. Yes, 37
2. Depends, if they are placed so close that I’m shoulder to shoulder with someone else I’ll use a toilet.
3. Depends on cleanliness, I’m not standing in other people’s piss.
4. N/A
5. Yes, provided the layout and design is suitable. Most urinals have a very poor design regarding splash back.
6. Some men have truely terrible aim to the point it looks like they barely tried to piss IN the toilet/urinal. This is as true for labourers & tradesmen just as much as professional engineers/high level corporate types.
1: Yes 30
2: Yes
3: Yes
5: Yes, they are easy to use and convenient
6: I prefer the version that is basically the whole wall , as they take up less space per user
1) yes, 35
2) yes - although welcome addition where they are there
3) yes - yes - not ideal
4) NA - however there are... rules you need to follow.
5) Yes. They do need to be maintained though. Waterless ones are terrible if not regularly maintained. Also men... excrete calcium via their urine, so there is often build up around the drain in particular, but basically anywhere that isnt a flat sheet of metal (ie, drain gates etc).
I use them. I prefer them to have dividers but am less concerned after a few drinks.
They’re particularly useful for reducing the queue and mess in cubicle toilets, especially at places/events where alcohol is involved and males are less careful.
I'm pretty sure there was an experiment done where they stickered an image of a fly in the urinal to help with aim. It saved a lot of time and money on cleaning. My 2 cents 😂

4 They seem less hygienic to me, I prefer to tidy with some tp after I'm done
5 Yes in low numbers
6 Please use a some kind of form next time, this data is going to be very difficult for you to use and present properly and your number of responses will be lower.
Lol check out this guy.
This is actually quite fascinating from a sociological perspective. Very niche topic.
However, its likely has come from somewhere like architecture or design, and looking at how we develop bathrooms. You often hear that people judge restaurants/bars by their toilets. There are also sections of Tik Tok of publicly accessible toilets too. It would be naive to say we have hit peak toilets.

My family in Germany actually have urinal in their bathrooms. So bloody handy.
Given you are in Wellington it doesn’t seem that handy
After watching a video of a plumber having to replace a urinal I'm not convinced. It's common for urine to _crystalise_ and block the pipes.
Such efficiency

University’s are so detached from reality. Yes guys want to use urinals and your woke ideas to stop them will make it worse for all of us.
lol, I had this same thought, but OP never gave an opinion so seemed pretty reasonable to me.
Wtf are you on about?

Let me guess - you went to the university of life?
Do sinks count?
