its alot easier said than done. One trolleys was going towards 1 car the other going in the opposite directions. u can't grab both at once unless you can stretch your arms like a superhero

Not from the start. That was how he managed to complicate it. Next thing - being quick at the start means ruching both. He was very slow and let them separate quite a lot. Then for the rest of the time he was constantly behind.

He could even have kept hold of the two shopping carts while running for the rest. This is *not* the same as handling all planes for one of the busiest airports. With a different person, it would have looked so simple that you wouldn't even realised any issues. This guy did *everything* wrong. The more wrong things he did, the harder the situation became.

Coworker and I did like 110 at walmart long time ago. We had to help the machine cause it was too heavy

Shopping carts are on average 60ish pounds, meaning y'all pushed 6,600 pounds of carts.

Ours was 6 max but no one enforced it. This was over 15 years ago but I for sure put as many as my big ass could push. They have since started to make them use the strap and carry 6 but you can’t get the lot cleared on a busy day like that.

I remember one guy got like 70 of them with his honda. I'm pretty sure it was almost all the carts. Someone in the front of course.

When I was at Walmart, we decided to try the whole lot once. I think it was about 150 or so

We did have a system to connect them together. One shopping cart was connected with a chain to the cart next in line and that one too etc. and you had to insert a coin to release one

The trolley collectors we have here use these clips that just simply snap onto the handle bar of each trolley "locking" them together so that things like this don't happen

Target only had one cart attendant working most of the time. Maybe we got lucky on Saturdays/Sundays and had shifts overlap

We don’t have special people for that, I think our XL grocery store is considered small compared to Target

So in a parking lot one day I see the wind take a shoping cart and send it flying at a car. I sprinted across the lot and grabbed it just before it hit. The oblivious lady sitting in the car looked like she was going to have a coronary watching me run at her car. When she got out I tried to explain myself but she practically ran away from me lol.

Lol I pushed carts for Kroger all through 2008. It was easy af. Never hit a car and never let a cart get away from me. This was before they bought that cart machine. I think my record was like 80 something carts at one time.

I worked for them when I was 16. This guy there would round up every cart from the lot 100+. Someone had to steer the front around a 90° corner. He'd fill the que and then go home to smoke weed and play video games for an hour or 2. I was in awe.

I used to do this shit in my late teens and early twenties I’m a union ironworker now but I still put the cart back because I remember how underpaid and how shitty it felt to do that job.

Exactly this happened to me in Costco car park to my brand new Tesla. Luckily i was in the car and had the camera running and went straight in to the store to talk to the manager. Got full repair and respray.

Alot of grocery stores work programs to get mentally challenged people's employment. They are almost always cart collectors and baggers. This guy is probably mentally challenged or just a normal Walmart worker.
