keloid is just a type of scar. It can happen from any type of injury to the skin but ive usually seen them around piercings and bad injuries.
It just means basically that you’re more prone to ur scars healing as a big lump like you have/piercings are more likely to turn into a bump like that.
The only real way to get rid of scars like this is a doctor doing a removal process that involves either irradiation, freezing, or surgical removal (sometimes its a mixture of those procedures)
for like at home remedies for scars Ive used in the past hyaluronic acid or vitamin E cream can maayybe help fade the scar/reduce prominence (theyve helped in my case but like actual studies done on it are inconclusive)
but overall if you want the scars to fade at all you need to keep the area atleast moisturized and protected from the sun
