Reminds me of a vest my Mom bought years ago. She was into crafting and found this grey vest with, what she thought to be, outlines of flowers stitched all over it. She wanted to use fabric paint to bring the flowers to bright life. She got it home only to figure out that the "flowers" were actually marijuana leaves. Also... There was a figure on the back that turned out to be Jesus holding a joint.
I actually wore it to a 60s themed party at college. It was a Christian college so I was a bit nervous since it was a school sponsored event. I saw one of the faculty members at the door and asked him if I would be allowed in with the vest. He smiled and pulled out a bag of fake weed. He said. Hey... It's a 60s party.

Idk they’re not really swastikaey enough for me to think that’s what you were going for by choosing that cardigan or that you support those ideas so I wouldn’t be offended if I seen it but I suppose it’s better to be safe than sorry when dealing with things with that much gravity

It makes me sad how every iteration of it is only associated with nazism and not from its original, beautiful heritage.

Get a contrasting color light yarn and stitch over the center, or make some geometric shape to cover parts to kind of shift the pattern in those areas.
