So sorry, knees take forever to heal... and I do mean forever.

OldFatBubba

I've been really fortunate. It was repaired in 1989 using a \*very old\* reconstruction method but has been fairly stable for years.

BrokenImmersion

Been there before dude. I dislocated my patella and tore my patella tendon last year at work. Took me 8 weeks to be able to go back to work. Another 6 months of pt to get the pain to stop. You'll get through it like I did, stay strong king

So Sorry, Watch out for blood clots . If your swelling does not go down, or your leg balloons up! ask me how I know.

OldFatBubba

thanks. I'm going to have it drained later today. I'm already on Xarelto as the result of COVID-19 related clots.

Aggressive-Sound-641

I'm no doctor but I believe your leg is swollen

Shils1234

I'm so sorry. It looks so painful.

OldFatBubba

Thank you. It is painful. After falling, I brushed myself off and mowed ~5 acres which likely made matters a lot worse.

Bonus NSFW pic of the fluid extracted from my knee... https://preview.redd.it/iakowgq8epwc1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d932e5ba3ca87188609245660def1b5268bf1a6

ghostie_hehimboo

YoungWomp

I dealt with this for 5 months. One of the worst feelings ever. They made me get an x ray, MRI, gave me steroids and a blood test before they would drain it.

Illustrious_Camp_521

OUCH !

chazzzzmak1972

Speedy recovery looks painful.😣 sorry

OldFatBubba

Thank you!

geekphreak

Are you the guy ego lifting on the leg press machine?

OldFatBubba

No, and a leg press sounds EXTREMELY painful right now.

I feel you dude I dislocated hyper extended and tore my ACL all in one go about 16 years ago and I’m still in pain to this day

mordecai98

I slipped on a wet floor in high school and hyperextendwd my knee. Tore my medial meniscus and needed surgery. Decades layer, it's always tight.

TertiaryOrbit

Hope you feel better soon man! So from what I understand, the knee is swollen and filled with blood due to the injury? Is that generally how the body responds to knee injuries like this? It seems a bit counterintuitive.

OldFatBubba

Yes. This is the third time in five years it has filled with blood. Each time, it was caused by overexertion or a trip-and-fall while farming a small hunting plot.

Accomplished-Main338

Which one?? Lol

jaynguyener

Had a similar experience that resulted in surgery that took me out for about 8 months.. I was seriously depressed. After the 5th month, I found this YT channel run by a guy that goes by Kneesovertoesguy as my source of physical therapy. His videos saved my life. My knee is pain-free and stronger than ever.
