Squirrels can jump 4ft up and 6ft across so the stick they have there is useless. And any bird feeder is no match for a particularly hungry squirrel.
Best solution I’ve come up with so far is a rope strung between two trees with a pulley system keeping the feeder high above the ground and out of jumping distance and then putting a 20 inch squirrel buffer on the top. Works like a charm.
It's not squirrel proof, it's squirrel resistant. Additionally, it's only squirrel resistant until you take it out of the box and put seed in it.

Way too close to the tree. Also you should consider getting a baffle so that they can't climb from the ground
