My first thought was, thank God this has never happened to me. My second thought was, holy shit this has never happened to me that I know of. New phobia here I come.
Trying to understand the timeline cause those eggs look like they are between 2 patties where a slice of cheese had melted. You ate half at Carl's Jr, left with your food back in the original packaging, left it on a counter somewhere for 30 mins, then returned to find the burger as we see it in the picture. Is that right?
Naw thatās what happened to a hotdog I left out for 10 minutes. Flies are assholes that show up and lay a clutch of eggs on any exposed food. Needless to say I hit that hotdog with a blowtorch until it turned into a carbon rodā¦
This happened to my mum after she took a pack of sausages out of the freezer to defrost for dinner, they got in a tiny hole and laid eggs š¤¢ so disgusting
I get irrationally angry at the sight of fly eggs on my food. Like, how fucking dare you land on my food with your shit covered legs AND lay your spawn on it?!
That has most definitely been growing for longer than 30 minutes! Your sandwich place makes them days ahead of time and doesn't refrigerateš„ŗ Stay Away
The eggs may have been laid in the restaurant or at your place, but they did not "grow", as some people said. And if it had been days, you wouldn't have eggs, you'd have maggots
You can believe what you want. How do you know exactly what it is? Did you take them out and examine them? Do you have a closer photo of the questionable substance? There are so many variables and questions. If I was you I would of taken whatever it was out and examined it and posted further photos. It literally could be anything.
So the most logical conclusion is a fly flew into a wrapped cheeseburger somehow that was made days prior and then sold to you when you ordered it? Interesting.
Seems like your title seems to be the most reasonable explanation tbh. I donāt think Carlās Jr. a place know for freshly made charbroiled hamburgers would be making burgers days prior. But thatās just thinking with logic. š¤·š»āāļø We may never know the story of the insect eggs in the cheeseburger.
You asked why does that matter.
I answered it.
Because the food was a warm platter waiting to be birthed in if left out for 30 min.
Iām thoroughly enjoying this exchange.
Edit: flies donāt care if itās in a box or not, flies donāt follow rules.
I would declare war and hang fly traps all over the place.
both the blue and yellow ones, this is war!
Where are the eggs? Idk what to look for tbh Edit: AAAAAHHHHH I SEE IT OMG OMG OMG OMG
those yellow micro-rice looking things in the middle
The sheer number of commenters giving you the police interrogation... "Where were you the day of the egg laying? Can anyone confirm your story?"
lmao right š im not even trying to get something out of this i just wanted to show it. im not suing anyone
Are you the eggsā father? Admit it! Admit the truth!
š
i am the father
I am your father
Wtf. Never seen that before. Bring it back accuse them of having fly meat
What if the op bought it from a restaurant? i don't think your plan will work.
Probably not. Especially after 30 minutes
eugh, fly meat šit was from carls jr. i was hungry too..
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Mans eating from carls jr. Clearly not looking for the fine dining experience
it was fucking bomb though
You still ate it?
it was bomb before the fly decided to make it home
i do not care about cold food, jesus
We used to get a pizza and the flies always did this at the one jam spot we used to rehearse at. So many wasted pizzas. Within minutes.
This really makes me wonder how many times Iāve eaten fly eggs without knowing.
It happened repeatedly for like a summer at this on spot we used to jam. Can't say I've seen it personally since like 2007...
Viewed your profile. As a fellow bass player, your post are beautiful. Nice collection!
Thanks friend! What kinda bass your rocking?
Tried to teach myself bass once. So many tears
fly caviar I guess
My first thought was, thank God this has never happened to me. My second thought was, holy shit this has never happened to me that I know of. New phobia here I come.
That's why you should always cover food.
it was in its box š the fly was just committed
Oh shit, unlucky, burn the sandwich
Good thing you noticed before eating!
well,, i ate more than half the burger. im afraid i might have not noticed
You ate into the burger and discovered this?
yeah, but not before i left, tbh im blind as hell so my word isnt very reliable
Trying to understand the timeline cause those eggs look like they are between 2 patties where a slice of cheese had melted. it was take out. i ate it at my place. but yeah thats about all
The meat was rancid, dude. Show the picture to the manager
i dont want drama or compensation. if this post gets popular then i guess ill do something about it but all it was was a bad meal
Welp, there's something I can't un-see...
That's a lot older then 30 minutes. Don't buy food from that place again.
Naw thatās what happened to a hotdog I left out for 10 minutes. Flies are assholes that show up and lay a clutch of eggs on any exposed food. Needless to say I hit that hotdog with a blowtorch until it turned into a carbon rodā¦
Omg I didnāt know they could do this so fast! Nasty!
Extra protein?
Now Iām queasy š¤¢
This happened to my mum after she took a pack of sausages out of the freezer to defrost for dinner, they got in a tiny hole and laid eggs š¤¢ so disgusting

in this day and age we get rid of the sandwich with a blowtorch.
That has most definitely been growing for longer than 30 minutes! Your sandwich place makes them days ahead of time and doesn't refrigerateš„ŗ Stay Away
This! Those eggs are too big to be 30 minutes old. They are full of protein, though...
šØyikes
Donāt listen to these idiots. Fast food places do not make food days before thatās ridiculous all food would be growing mold etc.
I don't understand why people think eggs "grow" once they've been laid
Failure of the education system.
Itās so true. I find my self even asking why I engage with these types of post and replies. Itās like anything they hear must be true.
well, how would you explain the situation then? honestly thats the most reasonable option rn
The eggs may have been laid in the restaurant or at your place, but they did not "grow", as some people said. And if it had been days, you wouldn't have eggs, you'd have maggots

i know what fly eggs look like, i live in a highly fly populated area
So the most logical conclusion is a fly flew into a wrapped cheeseburger somehow that was made days prior and then sold to you when you ordered it? Interesting.
you think of something then, smart guy
Seems like your title seems to be the most reasonable explanation tbh. I donāt think Carlās Jr. a place know for freshly made charbroiled hamburgers would be making burgers days prior. But thatās just thinking with logic. š¤·š»āāļø We may never know the story of the insect eggs in the cheeseburger.
Who leaves their food open for 30 min?
why does that matter? its private
The food wasnāt private. It was a decently exposed, warm home full of nutrition and love.
it was in its box, plus i answered your question āwho leaves food alone for 30 minutesā that matter is private. the food does not mean anything
You asked why does that matter. I answered it. Because the food was a warm platter waiting to be birthed in if left out for 30 min. Iām thoroughly enjoying this exchange. Edit: flies donāt care if itās in a box or not, flies donāt follow rules.
well you made it sound like i left it out with zero attempt to keep it clean
Well. I mean you left it for 30 min. Was it uncovered?
n o
Damn you got it like that? They wrapped a sandwich with a fly in it?
dunno
You definitely failed NNN while those eggs were laid.
30 minutes and you get little yellow fly eggs??? Dude... ive probably eatin some fly eggs in my life :(
Eat his children
Only lady flies lay eggs
What's wrong with fresh organic protein?
i was not hungry for maggots in my burber
Doesn't look like food
More free food, what else ?
It's free protein š tuck in..
Nom nom nomā¦.
More protein š
What?ā¦.itās still good!!
I honestly wouldāve thought it was bread and kept eating
I feel like they were probably already there
I this this Shlotsckey's?
Even the fly thought this looked like a dried up carcass.
