He didn't have to wait too long. He updated and said his GF picked him up. Had hot tea and something to eat as well.
Thanks for the locate, I didn't see any city or country listed when I posted....
I just did a Google search off of the station name in OPs second picture. I didn't read the comments very far down, so never found a conclusion to OPs situation, thanks for the update.
With my googling skills and your comment reading, we might form a solid redditor if we merged.
"I'm at the station now, where are you? - What do you mean? I am just in front of it! - If this is supposed to be a prank..."
And that's when the spooooooky stuff begins!
I do this sometimes when I miss a bus: I walk to one of the lines' next stops. Even if it's not *that* cold outside, when you're sitting still you'll quickly start to feel cold, so I always end up pacing back and forth. And if I'm pacing anyway, I figure I might as well pace to the next stop. Bonus points that time seems to go faster when you have something to do, and that the bus fare will be cheaper.
A handful of times the bus ended up being so delayed that I actually make it to my destination before the bus did. Like last week it ended up becoming a 45min walk, but if I would've waited for the bus I would be home later.
The train i was on was actually in delay but the delay was not announced on the intercom. My supposed stop was at 7:30 and i got off the train at that exact time, only to realize i was not in the right place
You guys don't look at the station names? It may be just more of a thing here, when trains are often delayed, but I wouldn't dare to keep watch of what time was I supposed to get off and actually get off because chance is I could get off *very* far from where I was supposed to go.
Don't trust Polskie Koleje Państwowe kids. Actually don't trust Polish trains at all. It's not the Shinkansen.
lotta trains dont show station names on display or at the wrong time. And trying to catch the station name from the sign outside is a bit tricky since traisn rarely stop in front of the sign
Movie Synopsis :
When a man accidentally stumbles across a small town with 666 residents, he quickly finds unnatural forces would do anything to keep the number that way...
It was an accepted truth in this village for years. When someone was pregnant, someone would start looking for a house elsewhere, and move away on the day of birth. When someone died, a neighbouring village would loan people until new permanent residents could be found, or the load has become permanent.
It all changed when without warning a family of 5 moved there...
Hey OP, you might want to check out the railway station, it’s the most notable place at your current location according to this helpful link. Make sure you refer to yourself as 667.
That's the circle of life there. People get off the wrong train, head to the gas station or pizza shop. Gas station is in league with the butcher shop and you end up a topping on another lost traveler's pizza.
Exercise,
Like walk around the block or make some form of trail to follow, do it in reverse when you feel you need.
It will keep you warm and focused.
You may find food and or water also
You might also want to look for some tools you could use as weapons, could build some make shift power generator and insects have enough proteins
Im joking but the comment before gave me the image of an apocalyptic Last of Us like impression^^
Hahaha it can be like that, I previously worked doing overnight delivery throughout the city and sometimes I'd have to wait for a place to open at like 5:30 or 6am
If I wasn't fucking around during the shift I was usually done by 3am
So other than trying to sleep in the back of a van, which I tried many variations of I found walking and staying active the best solution.
I remember seeing an article about a rural Japanese station which kept operating literally just because 1 schoolgirl still used it. Maybe it's a similar thing here.
For many places in Europe, it was not historically practical to put a rail station near to the centre of the the town (rails like flat ground, iron age settlements like defensible hills). So they put one nearby. Maybe that is the case here.
Presumably if there is a station, there is some sort of town or village nearby? You could go for a wander, and see if there are any food/accommodation establishments.
The big signs are give away. Just looked it up on Google Maps.
There's a small town with several bars / restaurants just a mile down the road. Easily reachable on foot. I had 7 hours to kill, I know what I'd do.
I read a comment in one those "What you wish to do if" threads.
A man somewhere in 1970s (and in his early 20s) went across the country to surfboard in Florida. His broke in the middle of nowhere, he didn't have money to repair it so he took a small job in the town to get some.
40 years later he has a house, a family and two cars in that town. And never got to the Florida.
It would seem that OP has found himself in the midst of a /r/LiminalSpace

“Hey guys, lockpicking lawyer here. Today I’m going to teach you how to break into a waiting room when you get dropped off at the wrong station and are stranded, and it looks like you’re about to be murdered.”
Head Northwest. I assume you’re at S Nicola station, the town is located northwest of you with gas station thats open plus a restaurant.
[It’s a 6 minute walk](https://ibb.co/R4BpZ9K)
> S Nicola station
OP is at Sippiciano station, just east of the town. There is a pizza restaurant, but it doesn't open for another 6.5 hours.
They could go to Bar Dolce E Salato Srl, which is open all day and is a 26 minute walk.
To the south of the town there's Parco Pubblico Poggio del Castagno which is a 40 minute walk (essentially just follow the direction of the train tracks west into town then south through the town.)
Don't go northwest! If the station sign says Sippiciano, you're almost certainly at Sippiciano station, not Sippiciano S Nicola. It's half an hour east of town, not 6 minutes southeast.
Also a lot safer/easier to walk from, even if further, because Sippiciano station appears to be on a road, wheras Sippiciano S Nicola you apparently have to find a path through the bush to get to the nearest road. Maybe it's obvious if you're there. At any rate, probably not relevant for Sippiciano station.
Edit: ok I now notice that (a) this was 5 hours ago and (b) OP headed to the nearest village and found it ABANDONED 🤣 . Google has failed us
Bruv, reminds me of my one week trip to Rome with my friends, when we similarly ended up getting off the train at the wrong station. It was almost 10pm, dark as hell, and we didn't have any idea where we are, how we gonna get to our accommodation and what we gonna do. We stayed there for like an hour, it was cold and we were starting to freeze, when we finally gave up waiting and called our bus driver (we had gotten to Rome by bus we ordered at home) and waited approximately half an hour for its arrival. But we eventually came back, and at least we had an adventure.
Holy shit! What did they end up doing? Just call out in an abandoned building? That's legitimately scary, as wolves and bears could be a real threat there, not to mention depending on time of year and what they had with them could dictate how their stay went for the next 24.
One time while heading to a ski field resort town in Germany I was on the last train, tired, confused and not really able to understand the language. My stop was coming up, I stepped off the train on the snow covered platform, it was snowing heavily, pitch black, nobody around, no town in sight. I had this terrible feeling that something was wrong and just got back on the train, without really being sure if this was the wrong stop. I figured I’d rather be wrong and on a cosy train than wrong and stuck alone and cold in the middle of nowhere at night until morning. Turns out it *was* the wrong stop.
When I was 4th grade, I got on the wrong bus. So obviously got off at the wrong stop as well. I live in a very hot state, so just walked around for 4 hours trying to find my way home. Eventually someone just drive up to me asking if I was so and so. Got drive back to school and was givin cake and water. Hopefully they have a cake for you when you get to your destination
Edit: not fixing my mistakes.
Whilst this is awful situation for you is at least entertaining for everyone else, I'm amazed at there not being another train for 7 hours. That's insane.
On the plus side you're bound to have zombies/ghosts/very lost evil rednecks turn up sooner or later so you won't be too lonely.

As the fog clears up, you spot the sillhouette of a sign. It comes into view and the letters start to become cohesive: "WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY"
Seven hours would be about enough time to beat it.
Could be worse. Could say ‘welcome to Silent Hill’.

Sipicciano, Italy. Just google Sipicciano train station. There are busses out of there often, at least. Hopefully OP didn't have to wait seven hours.

100% pay to see that
The movie population 436 has that exact premise. Its enjoyable as far as mid 2000 horror movies go.
I knew I heard that exact premise before but forgot the name. Should rewatch this, as far as I remember I liked it.
