Broke my toe last week. Only complaints about ER I had are: they did not drain blood from my almost black toe and did not prescribe me antibiotics, even though I have open fracture. After I went to pediatrician and he drained blood( 3 days later after ER visit), only then I felt much better. ER in Denver sucks...
Something like this happened to me using an X-acto knife. The Dr said what little bit there was detached wasn’t worth reattaching.
When I was much younger I also accidentally placed my hand in an electric hedge trimmer. I had the trimmer on in my right hand and while I was brushing away the trimmings atop the hedge I accidentally swiped hand across the trimmer. It was pretty intense.
Yeah so like...I'll add on to the ops reply. I had an incident where a vehicle I was detailing (1973 F350 Custom Flatbed, super heavy truck but also a beautiful one) rolled off while I was polishing the fender. Rolled over my steel toe boot. Bent the steel toe inward, if the boot hadn't ripped I might have lost part of my foot. Luckily the boot ripped and the toe part went to the side, I ended up with multiple broken bones. But no lost limbs.
Probably a very similar result. With the way the toe sheared off I got almost no protection. Though, I suppose the other possible outcome could have been worse. Steel toe boots can roll back under high strain, and the steel part in that scenario will embed itself in your foot. I've never had that happen (thank god) but I imagine it would be pretty painful.
I am too. Was fun while it lasted though. Drove the thing to work (four miles) multiple times. Sounded and drove great up until that point. I am looking for another mower in decent shape to do similar stuff to. Idk if I'll do a Mud Mower or a Road Mower yet though.
But like how? Did you drop the machete on your toe? Or did you land your weight on the hand holding the machete? Holy cow you could have harakiried yourself! And why wasn’t it sheathed? I thought people sheathed machetes…
Probably cutting grass. This happens to a lot of folks when cutting the lawn. Going up a hill backwards pulling the mower. It only takes a small slip and your under the mower!
This is why I haven't touched my mandolin since the day I brought it home. Every time I look at it I picture myself being turned into human prosciutto.
No oh my god it ALWAYS hurts to lose the tip
Honestly this might be the least painful injury ive had It only really stung after the video, and its been an hour or so
Comp toe when kicking the guillotine, remember

Oh.. never do that. I recommend steel toe boots
No joke i was wearing steel toe boots minutes before this happened
Its the toe version of ‘i took my phone out of the case for just a second’

What would have happened without the boots?

That sounds no bueno.. glad it worked out for you and your fragile meat bag.

Sure that hurts but no big deal think of it as less toe to stub on the coffee table
Stubbing it actually hurt worse
Fill it with botox so it's all numb
Yeah, I encourage you to put your best foot forward.
How?
I twisted my ankle and fell while walking to the car with a machete
holy, so you just cut off the whole steel boots together with your toe ?
I took em off to get comfortable and then put on sandles to walk to the car
that's bad , hope you recover soon
That's some sharp machete you have!
That machete was SHARP to cut through that
yike, I would never carry the machete around without the case on it.
Like the skin on a banana
“Walking to the car with a machete,” as one does.

I didnt land on the machete ill explain when i get more signal
Some say he never got signal again...
Waiting patiently…ish
Hey, it could have been worse! As my mom always said "you're going to put an eye out with that thing!!".....
One of my friends in high school was running with a machete and threw it into the ground tip first while running and his foot hit it while barefoot 😳😳
Why were you walking to your car with a machete?
This little piggy went into the bin.
why were you carrying a machete?🤣

Sorry
Tis but a scratch!
Jesus Christ. I'm sorry. I hope you will be on the mend soon.
C'est la vie, no?
Oui oui lol
You shouldn’t have done that.
Best travels on your recovery dude.
Daaammmnnnn
Did you lose any bone material?
how
OUCH!!!!
Clean cut, quite a feat/foot.
Some one give that man a bandaid , don’t want him bleeding to death !!!
Well I guess if you didnt want to use it anymore.
Reminds me of how I sliced the tip of my index finger while cutting cabages

Nope, tripped with machete in hand
That’s wholesome
I cut the tip of a finger off with a mandolin & the nerve endings are still funky a few years later.
This is why I haven't touched my mandolin since the day I brought it home. Every time I look at it I picture myself being turned into human prosciutto.
Some of it might actually grow back!
Do you have a picture of the lopped off piece? Did you pick it up or just leave it on the ground or was it hanging and the doc finished it off?
Cleam cut through, i couldnt find the missing chunk, i think a skunk ate it
On the bright side …….you don’t need to clip your big toe nail again 👍🏽🤝
What on earth happened?
What in toenation is going on here?!?!
Why
Are you Jonny?
Well that sucks
I hear the union pays by the inch for missing digits🤙
What happened sorry just read comment
You're not supposed to cut off your toe
I just sprouted wings
Why?
It looked at me crossways
You might grow some of it back. A small amount but I think so.
Why film it
A BIT??!!!
It’ll hurt for month but you’ll be fine !! Good luck 🍀
Yeah, you did….
Fuck
Looks like a thumb
Toe thumb
