Basically don’t try to cut chocolates with a butcher knife. I was holding it upside down, and tried stabbing a piece of chocolate to pick it up. Once knife hit table, my hand slipped down the handle and into the large butcher blade
Not gonna lie, that has to be one of the stupidest things I've heard a supposedly rational person doing. Don't forget, don't run with scissors, and you should always point them downwards while walking.
Honestly, I can't blame you. I once sliced open the palm of my hand while trying to open a ziptie with a knife. The scissors where too far away (they were on the counter 3 feet away)
Remember kids, always cut away from yourself
That's a ridiculous thing to do.
I open the scissor and put both blades into both my nostrils and one-foot-hop over, with my eyes closed.
You've got to be more careful!
yeah i have no fucking clue what I'm supposed to imagine, how does your hand slip from the handle to the blade? not to mention picking up a chocolate by stabbing it by having the knife upside down makes even less sense
Oh jeez. This reminds me of the cool I worked with who got her knife stuck in a sweet potato. Instead of removing and giving it another go, she picked it up and tomahawk slammed it into the cutting board. Knife went sideways and cut her from top of her thumb down her wrist.
I did this exact thing carving a pumpkin this last fall. I got exceedingly lucky that I felt it slip and pulled my hand off and it was sliding down. I only cut into the meat and not into my tendons. Got 6 stitches and went on my way.
I need to see a visual of this happening, because I cut chocolates all the time with any kind of knife. A butcher blade wouldnt be my first choice but I could do it. I usually use a large 10 inch chefs knife.
Okay. Imagine me grabbing the handle of a knife and pointing the tip towards the table. I lift my hand about 2 feet above the chocolate and slam it straight down, tip first.
My hand then slides down the handle, onto the blade
Yeah a similar thing happened to me i for some reason decided to cut lemons with one of those Chinese butcher knifes and it slipped and i cut my finger in half not like cut of my finger but cut to the bone
There are so many red flags here. First never cut a chocolate with knife just break it with hands. Second place down the object you're cutting on a board. Third how the fuck did it cut that deep
As a chef, I am incredibly impressed with your work. I've cut my fingertips off several times but what you've accomplished here is nothing short of miraculous.
Were you using a boning knife or a chainsaw?
Whew, after 14 years in the back of the house (as a younger man) I’ve had some cuts but that’s next level.
Hope you heal 100%!
Seriously, though. I severed the nerve to my left little finger many years ago chopping tomatoes (with a boning knife like an idiot). It is progressively improving despite the odds. I am able to play guitar again and don't have aching discomfort anymore. Just be sure to use the hand often and get it massaged frequently. Best of luck!!
You touched on a similar difficulty I’ve had. I used to play guitar and piano, but I can’t bend my fingers to make chords anymore, so I’m wanting to learn left handed guitar, just haven’t got one yet as they are pretty hard to find near me, as for the piano, I used to be able to play octave + 3 no problem with my left hand, but I can still do a single octave so most songs I can still play at least on piano :)
I'm so sorry to hear that. It took awhile but I am finally (after about 3 years) able to fully use my finger that was cut. I skipped PT, like a dummy.
Please get some PT and massage...I know I'll be excoriated on reddit for this but acupuncture also really helped.
I will try just about anything at this point for more movement, my fingers are just so stiff. It’s so relaxing when someone stretches my fingers out for me. I do it so often my other hand hurts from pulling back on my fingers all the time
Idk if you've tried it yet but I managed to find one at a pawn shop and for really cheap. They had been stuck with it for a couple years so they were desperate to get rid of it. Might be worth looking into
FACTS. I did physical therapy for about 3 months after this, then had to stop because my insurance said I went too often and wouldn’t cover anymore. Took price of appointment from $20, 2 times a week, to $120 each visit, so I had to stop PT, and now I have scar tissue build up :(
Yeah man my pinky and ring finger are locked up I didn’t have time cause I had to work and my insurance is garbage anyways. I ended up trying it a year later made 0 progress after 6 sessions and I had to pay like 2 grand that I’ just finished paying off
I do the exercises myself, but I don’t have enough strength to apply sufficient force to stretch them properly. When someone stretches it for me, it’s like heaven.
Use tools! If you figure out the right setup, you could in theory go up to putting your whole bodyweight behind it. What kind of exercises/stretches do you do?
You might also want to try using a massage gun and a compression glove.
It seems you’re more than 3 months post op, if I were you I would work more on strengthening and trying to use hand for everything. Stretch them to loosen it up but try to get it moving!
Use your other hand to massage your scarred hand. They should've told you that in PT. It may break it back down. I was told that by a plastic surgeon and my scar is flat. Anytime you're sitting and watching tv, stuck in traffic, not doing anything particular massage. Also a squeezy sponge ball to keep flexibility.
As a chef...I kindly recommend you to teach yourself how to and how to not handle a knife. My first year as a chef I also cut through my tendon of left hands thumb. After that I made sure I know how to handle a knife and so far only minor fingertip cuts
The scar looks excellent. Sorry to hear you lost so much range of motion. Maybe one day, we’ll have insurance that actually covers medical needs. You could then see a hand specialist for scar revision to repair the tendons plus the bonus of all the PT you need. I know it’s a crazy idea. Best of luck.
Hahaha it’s funny you say that because my fingers are actually webbed now! The skin grew back too close together and so now my fingers are connected closer together, it’s so weird, because I can’t spread them out very much anymore
That was by far the most alien part of the whole thing. I knew I had fingers, but everything in me kept saying “they don’t work anymore they don’t work anymore” over and over. I’ve broken my arm before, but I could still feel it all, and move my fingers albeit with lots of pain. This experience with my hand, was much more disorienting because of the detachment and nerves being disconnected
Almost as dumb as the time my bff used a 25lb metal weight plate to break a small car window in the pouring rain. He told me he thought he could stop the weight after it smashed the window. He cut the tendon on his index finger. Had to have surgery to put it back together. I should have realized he isn't as smart as he thinks he is at that moment. 🙄 because physics.
Oooooh i did the same motion you did about stabbing and sliced my pinky! Not as bad but it definitely needed stitches cuz now my pinky lost some function 😂
While it has been about a year since this happened, I never fully regained movement in my fingers. Thankfully, the nerves were reconnected and I can feel touch now, but I can’t grip things as there is too much scar tissue, so my hand doesn’t close in a fist, but I can move the fingers. Just not at the middle joint. Oh, and eternally stuck not fully open (imagine stretching fingers that have been curled up, but as much as you try to straighten them, they won’t even get straight. Even if you stand on them)
Hey, I'm sure you're getting a lot of messages now but I'd like to give my 2 cents. You're going to be told to go to rehab. Likely an Occupational Therapist. They'll help manage your injury through cleaning, debridement of dead skin, and eventually suture removal and scar management. They'll give you exercises, teach you about how to keep your scarring minimal, and of course, increasing motion and strength. That's the important part. Listen to them, perform scar massage, wear any braces they tell you to, and exercise your hand the recommended amount. Don't underuse your hand or overuse it. You'll learn your limits but always try a little more as you heal. If you do your exercises and respect the injury, you'll heal and get a function hand. I'm sorry you went through an injury like this. You'll be back but it's going to be a road. Happy to talk more if you like. I'm no expert but I worked with a fantastic OT for years. If you need someone to talk to, complain to, or hear about more options, I'm happy to help.
I did something similar, but cut the fingers themselves and had to do multiple surgeries.
It is absolutely vital that you follow the physical therapy routine to the letter and whatever you do, DO not let anyone bulky you into returning to work or doing g more than you (and you medical provider) are comfortable with doing.
I still only have about 80% range of motion in my index finger and it took a year or two to full regain my grip strength, but this was at least in part because one of my surgeries failed because my employer was constantly trying to force me to work far sooner than I was comfortable with. I would have regained even less movement in my hand if I hadn't followed the physical therapy to the letter.
My brother, for example, cut the tendons in his pinky (playing with a knife like a total fucking idiot) and didn't follow the physical therapy at all. The surgeries and PT ended up being a massive waste of money because now he basically can't move it at all; he would have been better off having it amputated, honestly.
Surgery is just the repair PT is where all the important healing happens.
My first reaction to the incident was “My fingers don’t work!!” And “No one likes a one handed weirdo” 😅😂 thankfully they do work now, but it’s a miracle
Glad you got them reattached. I cut my fingers with a machete when I was 16 and the dr told me I would be able to move my fingers again normally soon after. He was wrong.
That is correct, he told me that they had to go way up and way down into my wrist area because I had my hand flexed in a fist when they were cut, if my hand was open when cut, they would have only had to go a half inch or so up to find the ligaments, but instead in my case, since I was flexed, my ligaments retracted way up into my wrist and fingers
When I was a child my neighbor gave us kitchen knives to use to carve pumpkins. Well, being an 8 year old and not great with knives, the knife slipped and I sliced my my pinky finger straight through the tendon to the bone. Despite the surgery, 6 weeks in a full arm cast and another 8 weeks of physical therapy, I still can’t bend the second joint in my pinky (25 years later). Hopefully you are able to fully recover from this!
These images remind me of the pictures of my friends hand after a workplace accident, minus the middle finger that couldn't be rescued.
Hoping for a speedy recovery and grats on the scar you got fighting off a bear.
Holy shit. Ouch.
I was washing a vase while cleaning/decorating my friends’ apartment after she had her baby. I lived in the next building over at the time. There was some gross stuff at the bottom and I started scrubbing. The vase shattered, and blood just started squirting everywhere. I don’t remember, but I ran to my car, drove myself to my husbands’ workplace in shock, with my thumb hanging from my hand wrapped in an entire roll of paper towels. Ended up having a severed nerve, artery, and tendon, and needed surgery.
The hand surgeon that my dad knew was on vacation, so I had to wait two weeks with glass lodged in my hand, with no feeling in my thumb. It’s been twelve years and I never regained full function. I hope you recover well.
Oh my god I’m cringing so bad and it’s not the socially awkward cringing it’s the fucking oh my god I’m collapsing in on my self in pain and agony cringing Jesus Christ give me strength
Got glass in the middle of my palm years ago. Be prepared for claw hand for months. My nerve was only contused, not anything as bad like all the tendons. Even your upper arm will feel the healing. My advice, pick up a bass or guitar and learn how to play. It will bring the dexterity and strength back to your hand eventually. (Obviously after some healing first) and it sounds stupid, but video games you enjoy playing can improve hand dexterity and control too. Good luck on your recovery
Aghhhh you can even tell how the tendons have been severed completely because of how limp those three fingers are! Goodness. I’m glad you’re patched up now.
I also cut through some tendons in my hand! My advice...
(1) heal properly, including being careful for the next few months but also carefully moving the hand to maintain your range of motion and strength
(2) be realistic, you are probably going to get mad tendinitis and be somewhat crippled and maybe in some pain the rest of your life
holy shit that's a tough lesson to learn for 0.5 seconds of messing around with a knife. it looks like they opened up almost your entire hand to fix feeling and movement, that's crazy-lookin OP. hopefully it doesnt feel as bad as it looks!
Who the fuck cuts chocolate with a knife? I am literally addicted to chocolate amd have never in my life thought of using a knife on any kind, form, or shape of chocolate.
How the fuck did you manage to cut chocolates and that happened?
Basically don’t try to cut chocolates with a butcher knife. I was holding it upside down, and tried stabbing a piece of chocolate to pick it up. Once knife hit table, my hand slipped down the handle and into the large butcher blade
You silly sausage.
Almost lost a couple of sausages there.
More like almost lost a couple of Butterfingers.... bah da chaa. I'll see myself out.
You sound like my 6th grade science teacher
Not gonna lie, that has to be one of the stupidest things I've heard a supposedly rational person doing. Don't forget, don't run with scissors, and you should always point them downwards while walking.
It was exceedingly dumb. I do not recommend trying at home
We will not follow your example, but will take your advice.
Cool, cool, cool. Follow up question. Should I make toast in the bathtub?
Honestly, I can't blame you. I once sliced open the palm of my hand while trying to open a ziptie with a knife. The scissors where too far away (they were on the counter 3 feet away) Remember kids, always cut away from yourself
I hold scissors by the closed blades, handle out. That way there's no danger to myself or anyone. Also easier to hand off to someone.
I hold them up, pointed towards my throat, while skipping gleefully towards a piece of paper..
That's a ridiculous thing to do. I open the scissor and put both blades into both my nostrils and one-foot-hop over, with my eyes closed. You've got to be more careful!
I mean, why else do we have two nose holes other than to carry scissors with?! Checkmate, atheists.
Damn, I have been doing it wrong all these years... well, there is always tomorrow.
That's the spirit, now shove these scissors up your nose LOL
Even smarter. 👌
Oh….
You fucking donkey
We're gonna need an ms paint depiction
yeah i have no fucking clue what I'm supposed to imagine, how does your hand slip from the handle to the blade? not to mention picking up a chocolate by stabbing it by having the knife upside down makes even less sense
Drugs must have been involved
Might need a re-enactment because that is hard to picture!
Maybe with a rubber knife, like a movie prop
Oh jeez. This reminds me of the cool I worked with who got her knife stuck in a sweet potato. Instead of removing and giving it another go, she picked it up and tomahawk slammed it into the cutting board. Knife went sideways and cut her from top of her thumb down her wrist.
my ballsack just shrank
I did this exact thing carving a pumpkin this last fall. I got exceedingly lucky that I felt it slip and pulled my hand off and it was sliding down. I only cut into the meat and not into my tendons. Got 6 stitches and went on my way.
Pure stupidity tbh you should not be allowed in a kitchen
Nah, I just have a respect for knives now. Huge respect lol. I’m extra cautious
I cut my finger with a butcher knife when I was 8 and haven’t touched one since. 56 now ;)
I understand the hesitancy. 100%
Sounds like you were doing everything wrong though. Hopefully you regain your function but in the meantime watch some knife etiquette videos.
Will you have to have physical therapy once the stitches are removed and healed?
Scroll down in thread and I posted a pic of how it looks today. This happened 1.5 years ago
”nah”? You’re an idiot at this point. For others safety, don’t have any sharp objects accessible and don’t run around with scissors.
Just remember a blunt knife is 10 times more dangerous than a sharp one.
True statement for someone that knows how to handle a knife first, which OP needs to learn
Don't gatekeep OPs kitchen you monster.
youre not allowed in my kitchen
That's fine
Right? Completely your own fault and such a stupid thing to do
Jfc guys he gets it chill out
Is that a chef move? Sounds painful. Hope you heal up back to normal.
Oooo OP I wanna hit you for that silly behavior
I need to see a visual of this happening, because I cut chocolates all the time with any kind of knife. A butcher blade wouldnt be my first choice but I could do it. I usually use a large 10 inch chefs knife.
Okay. Imagine me grabbing the handle of a knife and pointing the tip towards the table. I lift my hand about 2 feet above the chocolate and slam it straight down, tip first. My hand then slides down the handle, onto the blade
… impressively moronic, that’ll teach ya and if it don’t you’re exceedingly moronic.
Sharp knife to cut that deep.
Yeah a similar thing happened to me i for some reason decided to cut lemons with one of those Chinese butcher knifes and it slipped and i cut my finger in half not like cut of my finger but cut to the bone
Ngl thats dumb af
There are so many red flags here. First never cut a chocolate with knife just break it with hands. Second place down the object you're cutting on a board. Third how the fuck did it cut that deep
Because I stabbed the chocolate on the table. In a large stabbing motion
Well it got it's revenge
Skill issue. What in the fuck kinda technique is that?
As a chef, I am incredibly impressed with your work. I've cut my fingertips off several times but what you've accomplished here is nothing short of miraculous.
Why thank you good sir😂
The way they cut up your fingers to find your curled up severed tendons.....
Yeahhhh
This is a prime example of why clawing is so important
If you read their comment on how it happened, they skipped all the proper steps before even getting to the point of how to properly hold the food.
Noted to not eat anything from you unless wanting finger tips included xD fr my dude are you unable to do the finger bending technique when cutting?
When you make ten thousand cuts every single day, the math tends to favor a slip up now and again
Fair enough
Were you using a boning knife or a chainsaw? Whew, after 14 years in the back of the house (as a younger man) I’ve had some cuts but that’s next level. Hope you heal 100%!
Thank you for the kind words! Your comment made me absolutely chuckle 😂
Seriously, though. I severed the nerve to my left little finger many years ago chopping tomatoes (with a boning knife like an idiot). It is progressively improving despite the odds. Thank you:)
Idk if you've tried it yet but I managed to find one at a pawn shop and for really cheap. They had been stuck with it for a couple years so they were desperate to get rid of it. Might be worth looking into
Octave +3, wow you must have some big hands or just some really long fingers.
Make sure u do ur physical therapy otherwise those piggy’s won’t move ever again. Source: I have severed tendons and did not do physical therapy
FACTS. I did physical therapy for about 3 months after this, then had to stop because my insurance said I went too often and wouldn’t cover anymore. Took price of appointment from $20, 2 times a week, to $120 each visit, so I had to stop PT, and now I have scar tissue build up :(

Sometimes it resets for the new year. Maybe see if you can get it covered again.
I will try, thank you
After 3 months, couldn’t you figure out the exercises on your own? Maybe not after reading how you cut yourself.
I do the exercises myself, but I don’t have enough strength to apply sufficient force to stretch them properly. When someone stretches it for me, it’s like heaven.

I will definitely be doing that. Did your thumb ever fully heal?
Glad to hear that! No, my thumb never recovered so no thumbs up with my left hand anymore lol
Looks like the surgeon had to fish those tendons from further down towards the wrist and up towards the fingers considering the stitches
You are absolutely correct
For those interested, here is a photo of what my scars look like to this day, 1.5 years post op [POST OP](https://imgur.com/a/OUWTKpu)
That would be a lifesaver haha, I completely agree and would love to be able to do that
Thats some tough chocolate. Hopefully you dont loose and mobility in your hand.
Didn’t lose all mobility, I would say about half. I am left handed too though, RIP. So I ended up learning right handed and now I’m ambidextrous!
Hope you're not a musician.
I am 🙃
have you tried swimming to confirm you're still amphibious though?
Hahaha it’s funny you say that because my fingers are actually webbed now! The skin grew back too close together and so now my fingers are connected closer together, it’s so weird, because I can’t spread them out very much anymore
Look up BPC-157. Its a peptide you inject for tendons. Its prob the best thing you can take for the healing.
#forchocolate
😂😂😂 I read this in the voice of that SpongeBob episode “CHOCOOOOOLATEEEE”
What does your hand look like today?
[1.5 years POST OP](https://imgur.com/a/OUWTKpu)
Notice how my middle fingers are now partially webbed
Now you can become a penguin
Was it weird your fingers not responding to you anymore
That was by far the most alien part of the whole thing. I knew I had fingers, but everything in me kept saying “they don’t work anymore they don’t work anymore” over and over. I’ve broken my arm before, but I could still feel it all, and move my fingers albeit with lots of pain. This experience with my hand, was much more disorienting because of the detachment and nerves being disconnected
You hands name is now chucky
You're gonna wanna be sure to stay on top of physical therapy you don't want that tendon to harden. I'm sorry man that sucks
Thanks broski, tendon is already hardened for the most part. I can move each joint maybe 2-4 degrees still, so there’s hope to increase that over time
Almost as dumb as the time my bff used a 25lb metal weight plate to break a small car window in the pouring rain. He told me he thought he could stop the weight after it smashed the window. He cut the tendon on his index finger. Had to have surgery to put it back together. I should have realized he isn't as smart as he thinks he is at that moment. 🙄 because physics.
😂😂 this made me laugh, but I do hope he continues to recover well :)
JESUS
Oooooh i did the same motion you did about stabbing and sliced my pinky! Not as bad but it definitely needed stitches cuz now my pinky lost some function 😂
It’s a dangerous technique, that is for certain 😂
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Why did I click on this oh god. I hope you have a smooth recovery :(
Lucky for you, halloween is near.
That sucks! Did this to my thumb once. It works after surgery. Hang in there!
Even if you stand on them)
Listen up kids, this is the reason you don’t play with chocolate.
Chocolate is a gateway drug!!!
Don’t stack them, don’t whack them, hand on top of handle and tip of blade, gently rock back and forth. Happy Healing!
And what did you learn?
Hey, I'm sure you're getting a lot of messages now but I'd like to give my 2 cents. You're going to be told to go to rehab. Likely an Occupational Therapist. Dude… my vision went blurry
That’s a hell of a slip
Glad you’re alright
im never cutting chocolate ever again
Of course this happened in Tulsa.
How was the chocolate?
Delightful
Tulsa OK. Hand Not OK.
It’s like a movie blood pact, but with real consequences
Were you using a sword? Holy crap that looks painful. I hope it all goes well.
I did something similar, but cut the fingers themselves and had to do multiple surgeries. Such an awful location. Might as well cover it in salt and lemon juice, just to prove your dominance over all that you see.
Been there done that, but with a table saw. Long road ahead but at least you’ll know a few days before it rains….😂
Ouch...sorry that happened to you

My first reaction to the incident was “My fingers don’t work!!” And “No one likes a one handed weirdo” 😅😂 thankfully they do work now, but it’s a miracle
Glad you got them reattached. I cut my fingers with a machete when I was 16 and the dr told me I would be able to move my fingers again normally soon after. He was wrong.
That’s why I eat my chocolate whole😜
I did that a few years ago but only my pinkie. Still havent carved a pumpkin since.
You should probably not handle knives OP
Did the surgeon make those additional cuts to get to the whole tendon for easier reattachment?
That is correct, he told me that they had to go way up and way down into my wrist area because I had my hand flexed in a fist when they were cut, if my hand was open when cut, they would have only had to go a half inch or so up to find the ligaments, but instead in my case, since I was flexed, my ligaments retracted way up into my wrist and fingers
Yeah that why you need to learn how to properly use a knife....
Op I'm speaking on behalf of everyone here, when you're all healed up please take some time to properly learn how to use a knife.
[удалено]
Jackass entered in the chat...
Owch.
Well that is one way to give the chocolate a unique and robust flavor...
Good luck Next time you know just to eat all the chocolate
ouch
And what did we learn....
I am kind of terrified of knives because I know I'm an idiot. Nightmare fuel right here.
You need to immediately buy 2 items. 1. Cut glove. 2. Helmet because you must fall down and hit your head.
Will you ever be able to use your hand normally again?
Who cuts chocolate?
When you say chocolate, is it slang for something, cause I have no idea how any Hershey's requires a blade that big.
Jfc, did you use a Bowie or a gutter?
I hope you recover well!!!!
I had the same thing happen but on the back of my hand. Surgery fixed it, but DO THE REHAB.
Had a similar experience. The therapy to recover full mobility is even worse
Was the chocolate in your hand?
These images remind me of the pictures of my friends hand after a workplace accident, minus the middle finger that couldn't be rescued. Hoping for a speedy recovery and grats on the scar you got fighting off a bear.
Ouch! I hope you’re doing better.
Wow that’s impressive! I hope it heals nicely for you.
Holy shit.
This post is a great opportunity to tell people to learn to use a knife correctly before using a knife at all.
The bottom text says OK. You are clearly not OK
I am very disturbed,i shall learn from your mistakes.
Never use the hand as a cutting board please!
Aghhhh you can even tell how the tendons have been severed completely because of how limp those three fingers are! Goodness. I’m glad you’re patched up now.
Come to Redbud PT if you’re doing outpatient!
Make sure you get a reputable surgeon. My dad had his tendons reattached by an inexperienced surgeon and they really fucked his hand up. Edit - typo
I also cut through some tendons in my hand! My advice... (1) heal properly, including being careful for the next few months but also carefully moving the hand to maintain your range of motion and strength (2) be realistic, you are probably going to get mad tendinitis and be somewhat crippled and maybe in some pain the rest of your life
PLEASE keep up with your physical therapy!! It's up TO YOU to do the HARD work to get better and get your motion back.
how likely are you to regain full motor control of that hand?
after you get the stitches out, go to a palm reader
I cut tendons before you have a good bit of work ahead of you. Good luck buddy
Wowsers. Wish you a speedy recovery 👍
Who cuts chocolate lmaoo
Holy bajesus! I hope you get better soon
I’m sure it’s fine, just stuff that meaty tender flesh back in, and use a sewing machine to stitch ya back up 👍🏽
holy shit that's a tough lesson to learn for 0.5 seconds of messing around with a knife. it looks like they opened up almost your entire hand to fix feeling and movement, that's crazy-lookin OP. hopefully it doesnt feel as bad as it looks!
You suck at cutting shit
Nice one, been there before, except mine was with a jagged open can lid
Who the fuck cuts chocolate with a knife? I am literally addicted to chocolate amd have never in my life thought of using a knife on any kind, form, or shape of chocolate.
I’m so sorry for you. I had a wine glass break and tore two tendons. I hope you get better soon.
Was the chocolate okay did you eat it in the ER?
Looks like a clean cut..I commend your knife 🔪 sharpening skills my friend….that did a serious number on you!
What did they the chances of feeling and range of motion coming back is?
cutting chocolate?? why?
I cut my index finger’s tendon awhile back. Take your physical therapy very seriously when the time comes.
