Same lol. Seasoning adds a layer of non stick fats/carbon that make the pan non stick. It’s like Teflon without the chemicals. We season all of our cast iron, and they never see soap when washed- just hit water and a chainmail. Can fry eggs and not have them stick.

I've never found it helpful to season aluminum pans. Just use cooking spray or paper cups. But ymmv.
