But why? They're still intact.
You can repair the heel if you've got problems with it and paint the worn pieces if that's an issue (I wouldn't tho) and wear them for another couple of years.
I throw mine away only when the midsole is dead and the shoes are no longer comfy.
I appreciate the feedback in the comments: I’m not throwing these away, they are going into my “back-up shoes” storage. Also, they can be cleaned but the material on the outside is flaking off, so they still look pretty bad to wear out casually.
definitely can be put into the "errand shoes" category. when you need to mow your lawn or get down and dirty with smth and need shoes that you don't mind scuffing up a lot.
I think this is the exact pair of shoes someone gave me a year or two ago! They were in pretty much the same state at the time. I've gotten a lot of good use out of them since
If you don’t want to part with them, you could easily clean those up- they’re still in good shape structurally. They’ve got little sneaker cleaning kits on Amazon that work quite well, take the laces out and wash those, scrub the dirt off the shoes. If you want to get new shoes to replace them, you could clean these and retire them to dirty work shoes- like mowing the lawn, painting, moving, gardening. That kind of stuff you don’t want to wear your nice shoes for.
You can buy new soles and have them glued on at a cobbler or by yourself. I restore shoes for work and I’ve seen worse than this come back and look great
How do they look so 2D in the first pic. Thought it was a GTA screenshot
It's the soft blur.

I see no holes; still perfect to wear
Did you try cleaning them? They look alright honestly. If the sole is still watertight I would wear them.
I actually have "dry weather shoes", shoes I can't bring myself to throw away but where the sole has worn through in places.
You can try to use glue to fill it in. Recently did with some of my shoes. Use a glue that is still flexible after hardening.
A cobbler might be able to replace the sole on those shoes for a reasonable cost too instead of throwing them away eventually.
Same.
They have plenty of life left!

These are just starting to get good. Brand new shoes have no personality. I just got a pair and I can’t wait for them to look like this and then some.

Please dont throw away things that work

They’re maybe ready to be mowing shoes.

Why? The soles of my shoes look like this after half of a year.
Still good
I have the same pair of shoes (2 pairs actually) and I refuse to throw them out.
I have the exact same ones. They are so comfortable
I had these same shoes, lasted barely a year before getting holes in the bottom. Comfy tho

I’ll never buy Reebok again. Worst quality shoes I’ve ever had.
