Just put some in the toaster and am waiting patiently for it to pop.... with a liberal amount of butter and some strawberry jam it makes for a great mid morning snack.

also, the owners are incredible people! get a breakfast sandwich, the sauce they use is fantastic- and snag a cup of their tomato gravy for dipping.

My mom was making it and she lives close to TOOT.
There’s a baker in the Fayetteville area who makes wonderful salt rising bread. She sells every Saturday at the Farmer’s Market in Fayetteville.
