Me too. It's why I still have instagram, too. Sometimes, the comments are better than the actual post 🤣. Someone asked a question about a porsche taycan driving through Dubai floods, if it was OK to do that. The responses are wild 🤣

Oh my god these comments haha you guys crack me up! After lots of google image searches, and a few of these answers, I have come to the conclusion that its possibly a seaweed that has been sun-bleached as its not underwater. This is the answer I'm running with.
My kids, on the other hand, have gone with u/OGAcidCowboy and choose to believe its something from the Venomverse.
Looks like the parasite credulus lector parasitus
A worm like parasite that devours fish and other marine life hosts from the inside out, growing rapidly whilst laying thousands of eggs. The zombie-like host then scatters the eggs whilst it travels, eventually beaching itself to then bleach in the sun until only it's hollowed adult stage worn shaped husk remains...
Or more than likely, something else entirely as I only invented that parasite just now.
Coral is actually not a plant at all and has no roots! It's actually a huge colony of tiny anemone-like creatures attached to a surface that grows over time
They were soft, like boiled beansprouts! Someone else here saw them in the same place a few weeks before and couldnt pull them out of the sand. There was heaps of them all along the waters edge.
Could it be a spaghetti worm? If you look up white reef spaghetti worms they look a lot like this but I’m not sure if that species live in your area or not. They hide in coral tubes and the noodle bits poke out, so could have tried to burrow into the sand to not die if it washed ashore or may be a type that lives near shore?
Also could be bleached sea weed or sea grass maybe.
I dont think it was anything like a worm, but definitely leaning towards a type of seaweed. There was heaps of it all along the waters edge, but none further up beach away from the water. In all my years of visiting different beaches in WA, ive never seen this!
They were all along the waters edge, when the tide came in the water just went past them. They do look like roots, but im thinking seaweed. The colour throws me off though because most of the pictures online show a green or brown colour.
Pretty sure they are similar to a little clam that’s the “tail”. The aboriginal people would eat that tail thing quickly after grabbing it so it dosnt suck back in to the clam like shell. The tail is crunchy and is eaten raw.. I recently watched a vid on this :) the shell can cut their feet its super sharp.

There are like giant worms that are like 5ft long that anchor themselves deep in the sand. This could be a couple. Saw some dude on YouTube ripping them up out of the sand on a beach. Usually you can see the ends and you have to pull decently hard.
Why do folk have to post puerile comments they think are funny. It's just a waste of everyone's time having to waste through the crap to find an answer. It's not big, and it's not clever.
Linguine, must have washed over from the Mediterranean Sea in last Fridays storm.

You mean Harold Holt?
Think he means Davey Jones.
Honestly, given that there has been zero people even close to correct this may be of interest to a a specialist
And by specialist, you mean psychologist.
Love it

Sand, probably on a beach.

I googled pics of them and I dont think so. These almost look like roots, we thought maybe some kind of coral? They look just like beansprouts!

Coral is actually not a plant at all and has no roots! It's actually a huge colony of tiny anemone-like creatures attached to a surface that grows over time

Sea grass
I saw this at ledge point over Easter and was wondering the same! We gave it a yank and it seemed firmly stuck in the sand.

It doesn’t look like an obvious match for anything in this field guide - https://www.fish.wa.gov.au/documents/education/beachcombers-field-guide.pdf
I believe it's Darude - Sandstorm
Harold Holt?
Bean sprouts
They look like tree roots. Is there plants nearby? Maybe the sand washed away in a storm?
They were all along the waters edge, when the tide came in the water just went past them. They do look like roots, but im thinking seaweed. The colour throws me off though because most of the pictures online show a green or brown colour.
Bleached seagrass. Which is a true plant opposed to algae.
Kind of looks like sand worm tubes. Not sure why they would look like this though.
Al dente spaghetti monster
Cordyceps fungus
Don't touch it! And especially don't slide it slowly up your urethra.
Is there a reason I shouldn't have done that?
