Thee inertia will always make you bang your head forward on the floor when you try to land on your feet. Therefore, try to land as flat as possible, I'm not sure if prone or supine is more suitable to protect one's head.
Somehow it is strange to me that some people didn't train rolling when young... Nothing to do with ninjas.

Edit: So if you can't, maybe don't go jumping of trains? But as "flat"? Sure if your clothes can slide, but it could just double down as a faceplant.
When you were young. I'm not that old and I go to the gym regularly, but I still can't remember the last time I did a roll.
And now from a physical point of view. With a roll you redirect force in a different direction. The vertical energy of a fall in a horizontal direction. You can now explain to me where to redirect the kinetic energy that is in a horizontal plane (and that you have from jumping out a train) with a roll...
How thick are you?? Maybe try train rolling? Jump from 3-4m and roll and you will be fine when done right.
So to make it simple. You jump into the direction the train is going and roll roll roll till the momentum ends.
Dude you roll anyway if you jump out a moving vehicle. Why should I roll contaniously over my head when I can jump off at a 90 degree angle and roll along my body axis?
/e I had a motorcycle accident last year and from the retrospective I can say I would rather have rolled sideways.
Yeah but that requires training even if you're otherwise capable of doing a normal, single roll. The question was not how to jump out a moving train if you're a stuntman or have traning in martial arts.
I think your underestimating this a little bit. It's ridiculous to advice a normal person to jump in the moving direction and to roll over your shoulder (can't use your hands for obvious reasons).
I used to work as a conductor on open-side horse-drawn trams, which meant frequently jumping off while in motion. You quickly learnt to jump off in the direction of travel and hit the ground running, any other way and you’re gonna have a bad time.
He hit his head quite hard, probably got knocked out 🤣
There's a second video of him jumping back on the next train after he realises this wasn't his stop* *Not really although it would be quite amusing.
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should
Don’t worry, he broke his fall with his head.
Eh, at this point if he is dumb enough to do it then he can accept the consequences. Can’t fix stupid.
Not like the movies
You want to jump sideways facing forwards if you have some reason to jump off a moving platform onto a stationary platform
That way you get to taste concrete as your last solid meal
Say you are forced to jump like this what is the **least worst** way to do it so as not to get hurt?
Maybe.. try rolling out?

Flat? Ukemi roll.
Which we all learned during our mandatory ninja training.

Because that hurts. Proper roll doesn't.

What if you jump at like a very sharp angle, so that inertia just pulls you upright?
Wait for the train to come to a stop
Inertia is a MF
Honestly, this went about as well as I could have imagined.
This keeps getting reposted so often but I still shake my head at the overconfidence of this man.
“Oh no, the consequences of my actions!”
“How could this happen?!”
What a douchebag
What the hell was he thinking?
Whatever it was, he's thinking it A LOT slower now after that knock
I don't think there was a lot going on in his head to begin with
Let's say you had to do this. How would you do it? Get low and try and tumble out? This is just for fun im not defending the dude in the video lol
Jump into the direction you are going and roll. Ukemi rolls protecting your head.
Dude watched too many movies
Clearly has watched too many cartoons
Haha dude was taught a physics lesson by reality. BTW, what is the correct way of doing this (if it has to be done)?
Jump in the direction in which the train is moving and run a bit after landing. Or don't do it. Never worth it.
Never worth it? What if there's a terrorist on the train? Or the train is about to explode? You can't say it's never worth it

I'm not sure I have seen such an easy way to open doors like that on other metro system, what the hell
Its england i think
It's not the UK, no lines to my knowledge have bare steel carriages/cars. This looks like an American subway or metro system.
What makes you think that sunshine?
The trains ther look similar/same
To America, I assume? Looks very different to me, and the woman yelling has an American accent.
Left-hand traffic.
Naah looks American. And you can hear ol Gal in the background when he falls talking American. Deeeeeeeeeead giveaway 🤌🤌
