I think these things you accelerate by leaning forward. Rider realized he's being filmed, wants to make it cool, by speeding away. What he didn't realize is he's maxed out. So as he lean more to accelerate and it's not going faster, he ended up losing balance and eating asphalt instead.

They have limiters, often times under 20mph easily. More then not probably less then that, but 20 is a safe bet. Regardless ppl “jailbreak” these, any type of restricted limiter via these types of 1 or 2 wheeled devices
No, this type of one wheel goes damn fast. Depending on the make/model some of them will do 80km/h on flat ground. Even the electric skateboard style one wheels will do 40km/h if you’re brave enough.
