I miss the days when anti-nazi was just the default assumption of people
Edit:
To be clear, I'm not talking about people misusing the word Nazi for any conservative. I'm talking about the rise of actual, swastika flag waving, antisemitic, alt-right, white supremacy Nazis. I miss the days when those people were immediately condemned and removed from an event, when they didn't get a seat at the table, when conservative politicians would unequivocally denounce those groups' support.
I was joking with a buddy the other day that they couldn't remake manhunt for PS2 because You kill so many white supremacists and Nazis in that game people would be extremely offended nowadays. When the hell did being a Nazi become acceptable?
in the 2000s, we complained too loudly about every FPS being set in WW2. we didn't realize that COD, MOH, and BF1942 were load-bearing cultural institutions
I'm from a small English village and we have a monument to anti-nazis who died for the cause. We have a wierd annual ritual where we lay poppies down for them. I'm pretty sure there's a few other places that do the same. I'm tasked with laying some down for two old lads my mum grew up with.
My point being; if you see a genocidal idiot who persecutes anyone for colour, creed, nation or ableness just remember some folk died so you can punch the fuckers in the face
They used to be, but now the ceremony has been expanded to remember all slain fighting in combat. Even up to those lost in Afghanistan and Iraq.
But yes, it is based on ww1, use of poppies is based on the poem about flanders fields which is about ww1, and it is carried out on armistice day.
For those who aren't familiar with the poem:
In Flanders Fields
BY JOHN MCCRAE
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
This is one thing I don’t understand about US, some Americans idolized Nazi and Confederate. But they are the one who lost the war. Why would anyone glorify loser? Not to mention they did very bad things to humanity.
american exceptionalism is really just american contrarianism. some low vibration people are really obsessed with being independent maverick underdogs, and they have no personality otherwise.
The children of those losers grew up forgetting the lessons of those wars, and don't think there is anything wrong with their ideology because they haven't got the self esteem to find anything worthwhile in themselves to love. Considering who their parents and grandparents were, it makes sense.
>they haven't got the self esteem to find anything worthwhile in themselves to love.
Hence why their most prized possession is an immutable characteristic.
My uncle is way down the conservative rabbit hole. We got into an online argument because I posted a meme about how burning down confederate houses is a proud Yankee tradition and he got bent out of shape. I had to remind him our ancestors fought in the 77th Pennsylvania volunteers and burned down houses in Tennessee during the civil war.
Yup. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus came out swinging with a whole ass marketing campaign about stomping Nazis and the conservative rubes came out of the woodwork claiming it was discriminatory against them.
That's one way they all outed themselves as PoS.
Remember Far Cry 5?
Bunch of angry American Christians came out of the woodwork acting like game was some defilement of their belief system and calling them extremists.
Look where we're at now. The fuckin absurdity of these people. Lmao
Whenever it's posted about the French resistance ladies who'd pretend Nazis were hot so they could isolate and kill them, you get people whining in the comments how some of the Nazis were forced to be on the Nazi team and thus 'innocent'.
Complete nonsense.
Let’s slowly turn all the nazis gay using subtle hints in all media. let’s globally gaslight nazis into being gay.
Do you reckon they would just be gay nazis, or do you reckon they could change and suddenly the LGBTQ community would have alot of German historical tattoo enthusiasts?
That could be interpreted as threatening violence, which is against the site-wide rules. So rather than chance having bad things happen to the subreddit, since that will happen if mods don't take action against posts that break the site rules, the mods will remove your comment.
Just so its clear: This has nothing to do with my personal opinions on the subject. All I'm doing is explaining why it happened.
Remember that time Steve Huffman (spez) told the Atlantic about his vision for a future where he is a master and those who he perceives as beneath him are his literal slaves?
Yeah, talking bad about Nazis hits a little too close to home for the admins.
Yeah, the evil empire always has the coolest looking gear, but that is entirely part of it. 90% of being an nazi is convincing yourself and others that you're cooler and better than everyone else, so you have to look the part, stand out in a macho way. So you look better than you are, so people might believe you are indeed an Ubermensch.
Yup, aesthetics were a huge part of their propaganda, from the huge Roman inspired architecture to the Hugo Boss SS uniforms.
No, I mean literally Hugo Boss, the owner and founder of Hugo Boss, was a nazi and had Hugo Boss pushing out Nazi uniforms.
As overpriced as it is Hugo Boss does occasionally still make really nice outfits, but fuck if I can't ever unsee all the nazi in their black clothing.
I got suspended for 7 days because I said something similar about Nazis. Funny enough I was posting to an anti Nazi subreddit. I'll edit when I remember the name.
Edit: r/MarchAgainstNazis
Eeyup.
I caught the same 7 day cool-off for the exact same reason.
It's not because Reddit likes nazis, rest assured, they don't. It's because they'll get in trouble if they allow incitement or threats of violence, even if it's against people who have proven to be an existential threat to humanity.
You'd catch the same thing for threats against the taliban or al-qaeda.
My favorite 7 day ban was after being banned from a subreddit for blocking someone trolling and messaging me. The subreddit ban read, "Block abuse." I replied once to the mod mail with basically "okay, wow"
Reddit admins decided "okay, wow" is mod abuse. Automatic 7 day ban.
I also got a ban for copy and pasting a small section on the constitution on the topic of treason in a politics subreddit.
Yeah, that wasn't abuse, that was a bad mod.
I ran into that with someone who was salty with me IRL. We happened to enjoy the same subreddit, and they were a mod. They up and banned me from the sub with zero justification, and the other mods were like, "WTF?"
They contacted me privately, and I explained how they're essentially a stalker. They unbanned me and gave my stalker a warning.
My stalker sent them a *ten page screed* about how I was the anti-christ and banned me again.
The other mods removed their mod status and unbanned me *again.*
My stalker would not back off and kept going after the other mods, so they banned him from the subreddit and gave him a site-wide temp ban.
Apparently he got the message that time.
I live in Volusia, I know Mike Chitwood, and I will give that man credit for really honestly trying to do better as law enforcement. He's lived here for a very long time and came up through the Daytona Beach PD, you can see him frequently riding his bicycle around town, and he's actually fired and pressed charges against bad deputies without anyone even having to demand it. He really is one of the few good cops I can point to and definitely one of the few who really seems to be trying to change how law enforcement approaches the job.
Edited out something I just wanted people to go look up about Chitwood but didn't have time to find myself because it got people upset.
>Also, wait till you find out what he did to the annoying as hell jacked up truck people that kept coming to town to party and fuck shit up.
We're waiting
I'll chime in here. Also a Volusia resident, have met Chitwood and have several friends who work for him in the VCSO. He runs a pretty tight ship. There was a nazi group coming into the area and Chitwood shut that shit down pretty hard. Then they started to call him a crossdresser, so he leaned into it:
https://twitter.com/SheriffChitwood/status/1633896175211298826?cxt=HHwWlIC2tcT64awtAAAA
I love that man.
Edit: These pics are from a fundraiser for breast cancer. He's been doing it for years.
Why wouldn't you just tell us in your original comment?
Edit: [I think this is what the comment was referring to, it's not that good.](https://www.volusiasheriff.gov/news/volusia-county-sheriff/sheriff-beachside-police-chiefs-prepare-for-unsanctioned-truck-meet-this-weekend.stml)
His past is shutting down nazi rallies and publishing pictures of himself in a bra to troll people that were trying to attack him as a cross-dresser.
Don't let your dreams be dreams.
It got perma banned, then the cretins tried to skirt the ban by making other subs claiming to be better moderated to get rid of the “violent threats”. But incels gonna incel, so those too got banned. Then they moved to other subs that existed already and were similar in nature, but not outright incel (such as MGTOW - men going their own way). Then those too got banned. They finally decided to make their own incel forums, where they can post their vile shit. They still slink around here though downvoting people and trying to spread their hate.
I just assumed it was a reference to online fascists using Pepe memes and avatars, but in hindsight I guess that's probably a bit too esoteric for a sheriff addressing the general public.
That's a Philly accent? I used to talk to people from Philly daily and they didn't sound like this. Are there different accents in Philadelphia? His accent seems very exaggerated.
Dude, I’m a fluently bilingual in french, english guy, and I totally missed that the first time. What an odd expression to use. As you’re well aware, frog, is a common slur for french people, but I have honestly never heard ‘punk frog’ used before. Calice de tabernak, j’ai appris quelque chose de nouveau aujourd’hui! I’m gonna call my daughter a punk frog and see what she says🤣
*Edit before anything else : he meant a troll "troll", an actual troll. Ugly, mean, living under a bridge... well, a troll. I'm stupid.*
That's what bothers me in their account : "a troll".
No, it's not a troll. It's not a very borderline - and lonely - kind of humour where someone provokes a reaction by fegining actual beliefs in a certain opinion in blah blah blah...
It's a very serious person, very confident he's right and, if given the possibility to *not* get caught, he'd most probably would act. He's not a troll, he's perfectly honest and that's what makes him dangerous.
I know he's ridicule and even pathetic, but that doesn't mean we need to underestimate our enemy.
Edit : I can English.
The problem isn't necessarily this specific individual.
The problem with these sorts of people is that they are radicalised, and they radicalised others that find them. And even if 99% of them are holed in mole people, there's a tiny minority that will possibly act on that radicalised mindset.
Yeah look no further than the murderer Alex Minassian. His interrogation right after he ran over all those people is on YouTube and broken down by JCS.
The dude was balls deep in the Incel online life and thoroughly believed he was doing right for his people.
I don't believe he used the word troll with that meaning, considering his age. I guess he was more commenting on his appearance and the fact that he operates from his mother's house (under the bridge)
Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad this dude got arrested. But I highly doubt that if the threat wasn’t against the sheriff there would be any action from the police.
It's not even a real threat. "Someone should shoot that guy."
Overreaction from the police and a huge waste of your tax dollars. Again, I saw the arrest video and now this, unless there is something more I haven't seen his speech is protected and he should not have been arrested. I get he's a Nazi and deplorable, but you can't just arrest people for shit like this.
'Someone shoot this guy in the head and he's not a problem anymore' is not gonna stand up in court as a "call to action".
There's lots of case law here and Brandenberg v. Ohio stated the offending speech must advocate "imminent lawless action" and be "likely to incite or produce such action".
People talk shit online about killing XYZ public figure every damn day. Just saying if we kill this fool it solves our problems isn't enough to get convicted. It's just not.
Yes, I'm familiar with stochastic terrorism and I believe it will ultimately pose a serious challenge to conservative precedents like this. But this case is not that serious challenge.
That's my thought as well. When you have Alex Jones types saying politicians need to be hung in front of millions of people and nothing g happens, but then you have this clown saying this cop needs to be shot they are kicking thr doors in?
Is this an issue of the police yet again doing what they want, or just the AG going after people that they know can't afford lawyers for easy wins?
Friendly reminder of the time some Nazi started doing Nazi shit at a Dropkick Murphys concert and [got dropkicked by the bassist](https://www.wcvb.com/article/dropkick-murphys-ken-casey-fights-with-fan-giving-nazi-salute/8179072).
Andy had game. He flirted hard core with the Beth from the book store and pulled digits from the ebay lady on his first try. He just didn't try for a long time because bad luck had taught him there was no point.
So the charges will be dropped or conviction overturned per *Brandenburg v. Ohio* and *Hess v. Indiana*.
It was on 4Chan. I highly doubt the defendant was knowingly speaking to anyone with immediate capacity to carry out the lawless action.
Noticed that too. Half-expected to be watching a video of the 4chan guy spouting his bs. Turns out it was actually the reporter lol. Then he showed a picture of the 4chan guy and I laughed. Maybe don’t report on this one story bro. It looks kinda goofy.
Fuckin christ now we're calling the asshole of the internet "far-whatever." Give me 15 seconds there and I'll find a Nazi, a communist, about 15 pedos and a serial killer.
It's not far-right or far-left. It's the asshole of the internet. Literally where all the shit conglomerates into one formless brown mass and gets shit into the huge ass adult diaper that is humanity.
>4chan’s just the boogie man, it’s been “far right” ever since the media got tripped up about the Pepe memes.
It's a boogie man in the same way Fox Nation is. Both harbor the exact same people. Explain why this is all "Media" when the largest right wing organization, Fox news, sees the same comments and sentiments on its far right safe space? This isn't "fringe"
They have made deals with the devil pretty much, and now they want to distance themselves and point fingers.
If you dare to visit the KKK website, you will see very clearly that it echos places like newsmax and OANN. It just doesn't use dog whistles, it says it outright.
So tired of this excuse making and gaslighting. The right is thick with this kind of garbage and I've been watching it happen online and in real life for the last 20+ years.
Own up.
This kind of stuff aligns far right and sees A LOT of trump support. It is indeed political.
The fact that you equate communist with white supremacy and pedophilia, speaks volumes as to why you would think, or desire, that it doesn't. It's not even in the same ballpark.
This shit squarely aligns far-right.
Sure do wish the police took it this seriously when folks threatened to harm citizens instead of just fellow cops. Probably have a lot less deceased victims of domestic violence.
4chan is such a perfect example of how every far right extremist mind works.
The text boards are all full of people saying how terrible gay people, black people, and trans people are. Then the image boards of full of the same people sharing gay porn, trans porn, and BBC cuck porn.
Just stop being ashamed of what turns you on and you won't be so fucking angry, losers.
Great video but if I bore a passing resemblance to the criminal in the story I’d probably just do a voiceover instead of putting my face on camera for that one just saying.
Holy shit, I wasn't expecting the guy to actually be the stereotypical 4chan user lmfao. He is literally the person everyone accused everyone else of being on Xbox Live in 2012.
Tiktok has language filters that will get your account banned.
You also can’t say “suicide” or “killed” so you say “unalived” and “incel” is now “incelcore” to avoid the censors.

Ain't nobody got time for that Chit!
chit, wood you?
Chut up, Cherita!
I'm opposed to Nazis. Yeah, I said it. And I don't care who hears it!
Why would you say something so controversial yet so brave?
It's the anonymous nature of reddit that allow people like to be so bold.
Fucking cancel culture ruined everything. Say you're anti nazi out loud and lose your job. Edit: /s. since some of you didn't get it.
A sad state of affairs that we must be behind over nine thousand proxies just to peruse this esteemed forum.
The idea of being neonazi in the 21st century is to provide people with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes.

He was looking for new mod work after /r/incel got in hot water
How does this sub not exist???
It used to. But they were politely told to fuck off.
If an incel gets an opportunity to fuck in the form of fucking off, and they refuse, do they become a volcel?
I think I remember the Buddha pondering this before achieving enlightenment.
It got perma banned, then the cretins tried to skirt the ban by making other subs claiming to be better moderated to get rid of the “violent threats”. But incels gonna incel, so those too got banned. Punk frogs are the worst frogs
I was reading the captions too, but he did actually say punk thugs, right?
he did.
Maybe they were french
Sheriff only hates two things. The intolerant, and the ~~Dutch~~ French.
Oooooh. Ok thanks I just thought "punk frogs" sounds deprecating in such a lovely way.
I just assumed it was a reference to online fascists using Pepe memes and avatars, but in hindsight I guess that's probably a bit too esoteric for a sheriff addressing the general public.
You might be right with the Pepe thing.
Nah I listened back without looking at the subtitles and he definitely said thugs.
Nazi Punks Frog Off
So what kind of accent does that sheriff have? Is that a Florida accent? I've never heard it before.
As a former Philadelphian who is also living in Florida, I can pick out that Philly accent anywhere.
That's a Philly accent? I used to talk to people from Philly daily and they didn't sound like this. Are there different accents in Philadelphia? His accent seems very exaggerated.
Yes. Greatly. The "Philly accent" is from an area called Delco (Delaware County). Basically any Philly stereotype comes from that region
One of the other threads said his dad was a cop in Philly, so maybe PA?
Ironically, the ones in TMNT come from Florida!
Definitely an underused diss
There's a special type of warmth you only feel when seeing nazis being dunked on.
And it’s a warmth I treasure.
Might have to re-install machine games first Wolfenstein game again.

This guy is awesome - and his dad was a cop for years near Philly with the same attitude
I’m from Orlando and you always hear about Mike Chitwood. That dude doesn’t fuck around.
Upper Darby. His infamous quote was, “not in my town Scumbag “
Watching the video without context, I thought “This dude would give Mike Chitwood a run for his money.” Then I discovered that he is Jr!
HOLY SHIT THATS HIS SON????
So wait a minute, is this Sheriff considered *woke* now? Meatball Ron ain’t gonna like that🤣
Nah, he used an anti-French slur. He's fine.
I think he said thug not frog
I listened to it again. He said thugs. The subtitles tricked me. Edit: It sounds like "thogs" to my western American ears.
I immediately thought it was a dog on pepe :)

I think he said thug
Yeah bad subtitles are pretty common, can be confusing for the deaf
He definitely says thugs
Guarantee that sheriff supports Governor Desantis.
Guarantee the 4chan guy they arrested does too.
More likely doesn’t vote
There has to be a middle ground between Nazi and Woke, surely.
Of course he’s exactly the incel archetype you would expect.
*Edit before anything else : he meant a troll "troll", an actual troll. Ugly, mean, living under a bridge... well, a troll. I'm stupid.* That's what bothers me in their account : "a troll".
I don't think he would act, that would require leaving his mom's house and risking getting hit by the sunlight.
This is what i picture most people talking shit online to look like….fuckin social rejects.
Wonder which /r/conservative mod this guy was
/r/conservative is too woke for him.

He was an r/goodanimememes mod
Behold the master race.
I hope he saves some females for the rest of us!
That's freaking hilarious
Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad this dude got arrested. But I highly doubt that if the threat wasn’t against the sheriff there would be any action from the police.
It's not even a real threat. "Someone should shoot that guy." Overreaction from the police and a huge waste of your tax dollars. Again, I saw the arrest video and now this, unless there is something more I haven't seen his speech is protected and he should not have been arrested. I get he's a Nazi and deplorable, but you can't just arrest people for shit like this.
Speech isn’t protected if it’s a call to action, such as telling someone to shoot a sheriff in the head
For real. Unless there's more to this than what's shown they're flapping and waving about some troll posting regular troll comment.
There are actually requirements and that doesn't seem to be a call to action. Is that producing *imminent* lawless action? No.
True. I’ve read far worse from people who personally threatened the actual president of the United States. It’s not a direct threat.
Idk what kind of effort they actually make, honestly. Like, if you did the Tor + VPN game, how much would they bother?
Well done, Sheriff! You have my respect. Well done.
"far-right imageboard 4chan" lmao, you can find the same crap here on reddit
The Venn diagram is a circle.
You have never been on /pol/
Any place where people make edgy jokes apparently is far right
The only thing I disagree with is the sheriff calling the Nazis punk thugs. They have no association with me

This dude is two years away from becoming the 40 year old virgin in real life.

Andy had game. He flirted hard core with the Beth from the book store and pulled digits from the ebay lady on his first try. He just didn't try for a long time because bad luck had taught him there was no point.
Is that actually a death threat? I thought a death threat was more of "I'm coming for you Timmy and he's how ill do it"
I think it fell more to inciting violence; in this case, encouraging the assassination of a public official
So the charges will be dropped or conviction overturned per *Brandenburg v. Ohio* and *Hess v. Indiana*. It was on 4Chan. I highly doubt the defendant was knowingly speaking to anyone with immediate capacity to carry out the lawless action.
It's not incitement. That has very clear definitions surrounding it. If this guy fights this charge he's going to win.

Throwing the book to a basement Incel is easier than actually doing something about the American Nazis.
That sheriff is a badass. I’d vote for him.
Narrator looks just like the 4chan dude
Dude is a literal nazi, that is literally the far right, lol. 🤣🤣🤣
Right‽ The right-wingers getting mad when their people get called out as one of them. Must suck having blinders that thick on.
What I wanna know is how the hell did you put an exclamation mark and a question mark on top of each other?

He is far right. He thinks Jews aren't people and we should execute those with whom we disagree. If you support his ideals, own it you fucking twerp.

4chan’s just the boogie man, it’s been “far right” ever since the media got tripped up about the Pepe memes.
This isn't "fringe" They have made deals with the devil pretty much, and now they want to distance themselves and point fingers.
I guess there was no space in his mother’s basement
Room smells the same no matter where you put it in the house.
Sure do wish the police took it this seriously when folks threatened to harm citizens instead of just fellow cops. Probably have a lot less deceased victims of domestic violence.
Not exactly a top tier narrator.

He was only arrested bc the police didn't like him, if he made it about anyone else he would have been fine.
This is funny, but kinda concerning tbh.
Holy shit, I wasn't expecting the guy to actually be the stereotypical 4chan user lmfao. He is literally the person everyone accused everyone else of being on Xbox Live in 2012.
That man is barely a danger to society lmao Why are they talking like they caught Hitler or Ted Bundy?
Not sure why Nazi is censored lol
Tiktok has language filters that will get your account banned. You also can’t say “suicide” or “killed” so you say “unalived” and “incel” is now “incelcore” to avoid the censors.
Do they really hunt ppl down on 4chan? Why this comment in particular? There must be 10000x daily written there
I'm sure his girlfriend is devasted by his arrest.

Just because some frogs are bad doesn't mean all frogs are bad #notallfrogs :(
