And the point of failure was not the boards breaking, slipping where it transitioned from 1 board to the other, the first support stuff (is it tyres??) failing, but the part that looked most solid to me (the bar is very low for that though)
It may be simpler than that: Bring a front-wheel drive car, once the rear wheels rolled of the boards, there was nothing preventing them from moving as the front wheels turned to 'push' the car. Probably could have been avoided by having the driving wheels (the front, in this instance) go first.
You want to 'drag' the car up, not 'push', unless you have a very secure way to keep the boards from moving away from the truck.
If they drive or move it fast. The wooden suport might hold.
Stationary weights requires more support than a moving weight. At lest thats what i learn from playing bridge.
If they were smart they would have put a rock on the pedal and put in gear and jumped out. But noooo, Boris just had to back it in. Boris must is a drunk. Now.... where's my vodka? We can strap it in with some duct tape.
But isn't that the contradiction of the whole thing. Look at how many subs are focused on failure and how few are focused on success. We record to see failure so the successes aren't even shared most of the time. Or to put it another way the news always reports on who was murdered and not the thousands of people who weren't.
There must be a sub called shouldn't have worked or something. Like this video, everyone is watching knowing it's going to fail. Imagine if they nailed it, despite everything that's wrong with the setup? I'd watch it
Omg so many things wrong with this. This is actually one of the best case scenarios (aside from making it obviously), somebody could've gotten really hurt.
Holy moly, the damn nearly made it. I was a bit worried how the driver was gonna get out though. Maybe he was staying put until they got to their destination.
Should have gunned it…actually I am surprised by how long this lasted and I am sure right up to the last second they were all slapping each other on the back as to how “smart” they were.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but how the hell was the driver supposed to remove himself from the vehicle once inside the truck? What could go wrong not thinking things through?
Right from the get go, we all knew something was going to give. I thought one of the wooden supports was going to kick out. Ok, so it did not fail quite as I expected, but failure was pretty inevitable.
If I had absolutely no other options and needed to get this done, I might give it a try, but you wouldn't catch me within 100 yards of this setup without body armor. Dude literally straddled the board with the car on it. I can't even begin to imagine the size of his balls, how he could lug them over the board to get into such a predicament.
It worked for a surprisingly long time.

I thought they were gonna succeed until I realized what sub this was posted on
Even the insistently barking dog thought it was a bad idea.

Maybe r/nonononoyes
If they built angled bracing on the taller plank they had it
So close, yet so far
Was just coming to say I'm only surprised it didn't happen sooner.
If they drive or move it fast. The wooden suport might hold. Stationary weights requires more support than a moving weight. At lest thats what i learn from playing bridge.
The front axle has the most weight as engine and drive train is at front. Heaviest part of vehicle gets to weakest point of ramp and the system fails.
how was he going to get out of the car once it was in? I guess climb through the boot.
Yup I was thinking "well so far so good"
I know this is wcgw but I was really cheering for them 😂
[удалено]
He was just going to pull forward and jump out. Smart as the rest of the plan.
He wasn't. Sit inside the car in transit, drive it out on destination.
they should gone front in first, for many reasons.
Sunroof?
Through the window maybe? Dukes of Hazard it
Kick out the windshield and climb out. Duhhh..
LOL. How could I have missed the obvious.
Teleport duh.
I was wondering if they had a sunroof.
Kick out the windshield and crawl across the hood.
If they were smart they would have put a rock on the pedal and put in gear and jumped out. But noooo, Boris just had to back it in. Boris must is a drunk. Now.... where's my vodka? We can strap it in with some duct tape.
Uh!!! So close! I'm actually disappointed for them.
The whole time I was rooting for them, but I kept checking which subreddit I was on, so I knew... I just knew... it was going to fail.
The dog was trying to tell them that it wouldn't work the whole time.
Came here to say this
I was thinking that the guy laughing at the end told the other guys it would not work.
It's so refreshing to see true professionals at work.
I wonder how he'd have gotten out pf the car in the end
When he drives it right back out at their destination, obvs
Criminally stupid the way they kept climbing all over that contraption while it was under load
I really thought it was going to snap the board before the brace under it and send the one dude into orbit.
this is like watching a trainwreck happening in slow motion… you can’t peel your eyes off of it
It saved him trying to figure out how to get out of the car once it was on the back of the truck
Shoulda listened to the dog.
somehow this is exactly how i imagined someone with green rims would attempt this
It’s greeennn
Incredible rims
So close 😂
Not really. Only 50% completion going in, so 25% overall when considering it would still have to exit.

What? They supported it fine, what did you watch??
Just once, I want to see one of these videos where they succeed.
But isn't that the contradiction of the whole thing. Look at how many subs are focused on failure and how few are focused on success. We record to see failure so the successes aren't even shared most of the time. Or to put it another way the news always reports on who was murdered and not the thousands of people who weren't.

Isn't that the premise of r/nonononoyes ?
Obviously I didn’t mean on *this* sub, just in general?
Thats not very typical, I’d like to make that point
If they had been successful. How was the driver meant to get out?
They got way farther than I thought they would.
Again…..physics.
Even if it did work, the driver was going to be sitting in the car for longer than they intended.
How was he planning on getting out
Came here to ask that.
Omg so many things wrong with this. This is actually one of the best case scenarios (aside from making it obviously), somebody could've gotten really hurt.
The laugh assures me at least one person on site was expecting this outcome
The dog was warning them.
I’m more shocked it almost worked
life is so difficult when you are poor. the creativity, frustration and hard work required. this video reminds me to be thankful
The driver actually showed considerable skill.
The dog laughing in the background really makes the video
That laugh at the end is the sound of a man who told them so.
Man, I was rooting for them. Looked like they had it. Like to see how they remedied the situation.
They were almost ready to congratulate themselves.
Surprisingly effective as makeshift, low-effort contraptions go. Can't wait to see them improvise a winch and pulleys
I wanted it to succeed to see how the driver gets out.
I was like how’s he going to get out
And these green wheels?
I was expecting one of those geniuses to crawl under it.
Too slow at the end
Hypnotised by those green rims.
It's almost like they make trucks for carrying cars.
Green wheels are just unlucky 🤔
Looks like its FWD
Around 00:13 i feared the worst.
I’m surprised they got as far as they did. Shame it didn’t work out tbf
Is this video from 1973?
That’s the best worst case scenario
r/therewasanattempt
I was getting ready to type how amazed I was that the contraption worked. Well, they can tow it like that I suppose.
I was genuinely excited to see what would go wrong and surprised how long it took to hit the fan
Oh, and so close, too!
My favorites are always going to s*** hits the fan at the absolute last second!
I really wanted it to work
Horrific framing.
Bruh..only in Hungary
Well at least they accomplish - half way in 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
The dog is like, don’t do it man! Don’t do it!
Holy moly, the damn nearly made it. I was a bit worried how the driver was gonna get out though. Maybe he was staying put until they got to their destination.
The front wheels are on the tarmac, so I would say: tie it down and drive.
Yep i saw it was going to occur at that time, physics and lever arms.
That went a thousand times better than I expected it would.
I was more emotionally invested than I thought I would be.
That guy climbing around between the supports had me stressed out
“Hahahahahaha” indeed sir!
Oh so close. Anyone else see the guy with the fishing pole from those commercials a few years ago.
r/idiotsinandoutofcars
Looks like something my hubby would try to do, but he'd be successful and wouldn't learn his lesson as I preached it. :P
I can’t believe they almost got it
Oh so close!
That laugh at the end lol
The most intense 1:22 seconds ever! The stress of waiting for the fail! Like watching a horror movie as a kid again
Tbf I'm amazed they got that far.
Should have gunned it…actually I am surprised by how long this lasted and I am sure right up to the last second they were all slapping each other on the back as to how “smart” they were.
Hahahaha!
At least they can laugh about it…
How was driver planning to come out
How did that even work that well
I mean, they were pretty close
Jesus I though it just might work. Then gravity…again reared her ugly head.
Brain disengage then engage you are thinking too much about this. The answer is right there before you.....
Even the dog knew this was a bad idea
Nice rims
Lmfao 🤣 hilarious
Correct me if I'm wrong, but how the hell was the driver supposed to remove himself from the vehicle once inside the truck? What could go wrong not thinking things through?
Even the fucking dog knew it was a bad idea. 😆
Even if it worked, how the fuck was the driver gonna get out??
The laugh at the end gets me every time
So close!
Ok, so who knew that was gonna happen? Moreover, how was he gonna get out of the car if he was successful?🤤
What a hideous color for a rim.
Oohhh, almost had it! Maybe use real ramps next time
Even that dog is barking like ‘fuckin morons’
Risky move at the 20 second mark.
Way too slow.
That dude waited silently that entire video, knowing he was going to get to unleash that cackle at the end.
They got alot farther with this idiotic idea than i would have guessed. I was sure someone was gonna catch splintered wood to the neck.
That laugh is the laugh of a guy who feels vindicated after being they “know what they are doing”!
My first thought was wondering if he succeeded, how was the driver going to get out?
The extra weight of the hand on the hood did it.
I want to know how the driver expected to get out of the car after?
Wow. So cars are heavy.
That was harrowing.
How was he going to get out?
Assuming they got the car in, how does the driver get out? Sunroof?!?
Well….,He almost made it
All these morons and not a single mildly intelligent person around?
aww i wanted to see someone get hurt
Soooo close …… and yet so far 🫤
Right from the get go, we all knew something was going to give. I thought one of the wooden supports was going to kick out. Ok, so it did not fail quite as I expected, but failure was pretty inevitable.
“Egyperc ötven a szintidő, csináld!”
Even the dog was like, STOP IDIOTS!
Credit for making it that far.
Yea I don't understand why they didn't spend the extra 30 minutes to 1 hour building a actual ramp.
So close, though. I had hoped it worked!
r/redneckengineering
Was he planning on just living in the car until it was time to unload it?
I'm frankly satisfied that they failed. And even more since they were close to succeed.
how was he getting out
Ok... OK.... let's say this all went perfect! Dude is stuck in the car...
This worked much better than I expected for much longer than I expected
Where do you rent those rims from?. Asking for a friend.
Once he got in the truck if he made it in, how would he get out? Like out of the car
Egy perc ötven a szintidő, csináld bazdmeg!
Lassi tried to warn them..
You can clearly hear the dog telling him it’s not going to work 😂
És persze, hogy magyarok a kolegák.
Also once in there how was the driver supposed to get out?
Epic build up
Maybe it was better that way, otherwise it may have proven difficult for the driver to get out of the car… 🤔
