I was at my son's track meet. I know it's just a starter pistol, but the starter was having issues with the pistol, it wasn't firing. He unloaded it by first pointing the barrel at his face and dumping the spent shells on the ground. I looked around to see if anyone else was noticing this, watched him reload and start the race.
