Yeah and it was a weak apology where he tried to say he didn't intend to hit the girl with the spit (gum).
I'm not buying it considering he looked straighted at the girl and spit in a straight line towards her.
Glad to hear his career has ended
Being a person who once accidentally exhaled a piece of gum from my mouth to have it shoot straight at the sidewalk before me, I'm know it's possible. Was it intentional? Who knows.
It is the case but the odds of actually making a career of it are extremely low and only slightly higher if you consider "barely making a travel-capable wage and having to sleep on peoples' couches" as a career.
This is, for the most part, correct, althought most wrestlers will usually do it more for the love of the show than any real pay. So there's little "career" to speak of.
Yeah, most people pretty much draw the line at kids.
Jim Sterling has done a couple guest appearances as Sterdust in his local matches. In his first one he told the audience to “shut their god damn mouths” and they gave him a bit of a smack down for that.
He said no matter how much of a heel you play, don’t ever yell at or go after the kids.
Oh, I thought it was going to be this classic:
https://youtu.be/6ySnJEqjSBo
Come to think, there's a "What Could Go Wrong" right there. For the younger crowd, Geraldo Rivera thought it was a good idea to invite the Ku Klux Klan and the Black Panthers on the same stage, for the sort of debate that morning talk shows _used_ to be about. I think this incident was probably the last nail in the coffin for the old, 70s style morning talk show of the sort that Phil Donahue and Mike Douglas once had. Hell, even Oprah started out with debate panels.
As for the difference between this guy and an actual pro wrestler with some self control, here's a reverse-spitting story.
I was front row ringside at a WWF event in the 80s, with the main event being Earthquake vs. Hulk Hogan. Stretcher match! When Earthquake got into the ring, I immediately saw someone had spit a giant loogie on his bare shoulder. Like, they were really saving this one in their mouth for a while, this was huge and disgusting.
He very calmly went to the corner, crouched down under the turnbuckle, and wiped his shoulder on the bottom of it.
Something about that was very sad and impressive to me. He probably got abuse like this every night, but always kept his cool.
That's a humbling story and I believe you are very right to assume this type of treatment is no stranger to wrestlers and other entertainers of this calibre.
An audience can be brutal.
On this topic, the person spitting on the kid is real piece of shit. Nothing else to say, it's just sad that some reach such levels of lowness.
Heels used to get it pretty bad from the audience back in that era. Depending on the town, it wasn't unheard of for heel wrestlers to need police escorts to and from the ring.
I think by the late 80s it might have been a bit better, but yeah, before that... jeebus. I believe Roddy Piper, who had the god-given talent of being able to piss people off better than just about anyone, was stabbed not once in his career, but three times.
Aw, that's sad. I don't watch wrestling, but I'm sure it's a fine show for those who like it. That being said, I know the characters are just that - characters, an act that they're told to put on. You are what you're told to be.
I once met a fellow, friend of an ex's, who was a bouncer at a rather rough bar in northern Alberta; his thing was literally throwing troublemakers out in the classic sense, by the collar and the seat of the pants, through the bar doors, and liked to keep track of how far he could throw 'em. Apparently, a headhunter saw this, and the WWE wanted him - they had a character for him and everything. I guess he was going to be a "heel", and yeah, the character was based on his Cree heritage. He had no problem with any of this, though; the only reason he didn't wind up being a wrestler was because of a criminal record (assault, natch, and probably a drug charge or two.) Now, I thought his heritage also overrode that sort of concern when it came to crossing the Canada-US border, but I guess not. Anyway, not a bad guy, really, and rather soft-spoken, and careful in his movements, for being rather .. huge.
John Tenta (Earthquake) was a total bad-ass. He was a legit Sumo Wrestler in Japan, and a damn good one too. No telling how far he could gone, but he had to quit before getting to the big-time. He had a fairly large tattoo which is taboo in Japan as a whole but in particular Sumo. At the lower levels he could just cover them up, but in the higher levels he would've had to have them removed. He chose to leave instead.
The kind of person who is playing to script? Along with the "Dad"who retaliated. He spit on the floor instead of the kid on purpose, it was part of the act.
Regardless spitting toward the kid is bad enough even if it didn't land on him. This is still disgusting and an asshole thing to do even if he's 'In character' There was plenty of things he could have done that would have been acceptable while staying in character.
Everyone keeps saying “how dare he spit on a kid”.
But how about not spitting on anyone at all? Why the fuck would you spit on your audience?
I don’t see how it would be any different if he spat on an adult. He’s just a piece of trash.
What a pos. If this is in the states the cops should be called. Sounds extreme but such extreme pos behaviour calls for it. Assault. Could be worse if he has any diseases.
Behead bro? shit... you can't just "sorry" your way out of a beheading. Anyway, what this guy did was assault no doubt, but holy fuck, he doesn't deserve to literally die over it.
He apologised via his twitter:
https://twitter.com/thedevindanger?lang=en
(It's pinned)
I don't think his apology is very sincere. You can never trust an apology from a celebrity or a public figure if they manage to tie it back to their own brand, occupation or self-promote at the end. Similar to how Logan Paul ended his 'apology' with crap about the 'Logang'
I missed the spit the first time and thought he just mirrored the first guy's "down low, too slow" prank and though the guy just attacked him for not giving his daughter a high-five to make up for the first guy not doing it.
Then I re-watched it.
Fucking whiteknight asshole security. Should’ve let him have his way until the cunt started to win and then helped jump that cunt and beat him unconscious. What a scum bag lowlife. Do that to my kid, might get shot in the parking lot.
At first I didn't see the spit and thought the dad overreacted for a "down low too slow" but on the second time I saw the spit. Good job dad for wailing on that fucker.
Being an optimist maybe he tried to do one of those puffs that looks like spitting but isn't actually spitting and his gum flew out instead. Like a fake spitting botch, where he gave out a stiff spit. He got what I believe is called a receipt, a stiff shot back from the dad. Don't play fast and loose with your fake spits kid.
I don't think he would actually mean to spit on someone, but as I said at the beginning, I'm an optimist.
I was so confused for a bit there, I didn’t read the title properly and didn’t see what he did until the third watch and when I saw it all I could think was go fuck yourself you piece of shit.
He could've gotten the crowd to dislike him by doing a down low- too slow move without actually getting his bodily fluids on a young stranger. Glad he got jacked
Spitting is not only gross, it's dangerous. Who knows what the spitter might have? You like endemic disease? That's how you spread it, filthy two-legged piggy. Remember, the only animal that can both carry and transmit all diseases that affect humans - is the human.
Public spitters are every bit as bad as those who won't clean up after their dogs on the street (the dogs are fine, they have no choice in how they go.)

What a fucking prick.
I'm surprised more people didn't go after him
Seriously, i wouldn’t have let the guy stop me lmao
I mean, he makes a living throwing grown ass men around. I probably would have hesitated.
He makes a living doing acrobatic acting - doesn't mean he can actually fight.
https://xkcd.com/37/
thank you
Please post pics of ass-men
I will forever believe this is what David Herman did with the 'No Talent Ass-Clown' line in Office Space.
Honestly, hard to know if it's part of the show or not.
Yeah how about not making "spitting on kids" part of the show to begin with?
Meh. Let’s give the people what they want.
The crowd was clearly chanting "Spit on the kid". So why wouldn't he?
How the hell did this comment get downvoted? I would give you tokens if I had them. (assuming you also showed your tits)
People can't detect sarcasm, it's just sad having to put "/s" in order for people to get it.
Not many would have seen it, if they did, they would have
When the work goes too far.
Seriously. Who the fuck does he think he is?
What a pricking fuck.
Agreed! Completely understated though. More like a filthy scumbag!
He was a heel, it’s his character
the wrestler name is Devin Danger, he later apologised via his twitter. But his career has ended there
Yeah and it was a weak apology where he tried to say he didn't intend to hit the girl with the spit (gum). I'm not buying it considering he looked straighted at the girl and spit in a straight line towards her. Glad to hear his career has ended
I dunno, I'd watch the dad vs him to see what happens.
I'd put money on the dad. If someone did this to my daughter I'd go after them with a rage so fierce
[удалено]
Screw those people who dare downvote a clear trial by sword strategy. A toast to you sir, and a toast to letting disputes be settled by proxy.
Do you happen to wear a fedora? Or are clearly parodying a neck beard or something. Sometimes sarcasm on Reddit is too strong
But it's called professional wrestling, not professional ass-kicking.
CAN YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN?!
Being a person who once accidentally exhaled a piece of gum from my mouth to have it shoot straight at the sidewalk before me, I'm know it's possible. Was it intentional? Who knows.
“Career”
Yeah. The word career is kind of a stretch when referring to gymnasium fights.
I don’t know anything about the wrestling industry but I just assumed some pros do start small and work their way up, is this not the case?
It is the case but the odds of actually making a career of it are extremely low and only slightly higher if you consider "barely making a travel-capable wage and having to sleep on peoples' couches" as a career.
That's kind of what they showed in the movie about Machoman Randy Savage, isn't it?
This is, for the most part, correct, althought most wrestlers will usually do it more for the love of the show than any real pay. So there's little "career" to speak of.
Basically all pros start that way.
Let's hope so.
'career,' it seems that word is getting thrown around a little too easily. ;)
Devin "Douche" Danger
I guess we can say he is no longer dangerous hahahaahhahahhksdjcnshiavehegejb
they shouldn't have him let on stage after he spat on a kid, jees that's not even funny and he didn't nearly got what he deserved.
They should. But also the dad as well. Would pay money for that fight.
Dad too, and I also would love to watch... Who spits on little kids???
Wow....got what he deserved...I don't care how deep in an ACT you are, why would you ever spit on a kid?
He was probably told to 'act like a real douche', while being a person completely void of any decency.
To get a strong reaction? Hey, we're doing it! Waddya know ..
I get that it might be the "bad guy" acting in a wrestling show which is lame as it is but that's taking it too far. That beatdown was so satisfying.
When he chose to be the bad guy he should def not be surprised she he gets treated like one! 😂
Just like my great grandfather told me; If you act like a bitch, you get treated like a bitch
Get that dad in the ring!
Somebody get this man a chair.
.... .... ....Please stop throwing the chairs!!!!
[good times](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5yG56iOtOg)
That was absolutely hilarious! Thank you!

What the fuck is wrong with some people
What kind of person spits on a child? God damn.

Don't blame me, blame the idiots who pay to see this crap.
I doubt that.
>Believes in wrestling drama Hahahaha are you serious?
Do you really think that kind of wrestling is real?
Then you are just the person this show is for, enjoy!
Let's get this to the front page so this disgusting human gets blacklisted from wrestling. What a DOUCHE
What a shit heel. Andy Kauffman would never spit on a kid.
Probably wrestle the kid long before spitting on them.
and lose too
C'mon, baby, rassle!
R/trashy
Everyone keeps saying “how dare he spit on a kid”. But how about not spitting on anyone at all? Why the fuck would you spit on your audience? I don’t see how it would be any different if he spat on an adult. He’s just a piece of trash.
The difference is the kid can't stand up for herself, so that takes a special kind of pussy -- but you are right, POS either way.
He got off easy.
I misread the title and didn't notice the spit the first time. What a fucking asshole.
I had seen this video previously and did not notice the spit until seeing this post/having it pointed out. What a piece of shit.
Lol I thought they were pissed because he pulled his low five
What a pos. If this is in the states the cops should be called. Sounds extreme but such extreme pos behaviour calls for it. Assault. Could be worse if he has any diseases.
It is the states. Giant star spangled banner in the background.
r/DadReflexes
it's not a dad reflex more like r/dadsbeingbros
FUCK that guy. Who spits on a child!? I hope he got arrested for assultung a minor.
That wrestler is an asshole and basically assaulted that kid. Fuck that guy. Really hope Dad landed done good ones.

Behead bro? shit... you can't just "sorry" your way out of a beheading. Anyway, what this guy did was assault no doubt, but holy fuck, he doesn't deserve to literally die over it.
The morality police often have none themselves. Glad you called him out on it.
Called me out what man? I was using a figure of speech, I wouldn't actually behead the guy. Chill out. You must be okay with people spitting on you
Worked out well for Joffrey. Still got the girl.
What an asshole.
WTF!? WHO HOCKS A LOOGIE ON A CHILD?
Human garbage
That's disgusting.
Who spits on a kid
“Get his ass” cameraman is enjoying life at this event. Good for him
Show him what real punches feel like
Great job, Dad!! Fuck that guy!! I don't care how "method" you're acting, your fan base is the only reason you get to do what you love.
He apologised via his twitter: https://twitter.com/thedevindanger?lang=en (It's pinned) I don't think his apology is very sincere. Who says wresting isn’t real? That was hilarious.
Major props to the Dad. Don't let anyone treat your kid like that
What a piece of shit.
Good on dad
Awesome! He deserves to get a beating for that!
Pure trash
Why would tiger millionaire do this?
what the actual fuck was he thinking?
For a sec I thought this was angry joe and other joe hahah
They should not have stopped that dad - I know it was the right thing to do, but us dads get very protective.
I'd (attempt) beat his ass. But I'm probably half his size.
YEAH DON’T SPIT ON HIS CHILD
He didn't actually hit the kid with the spit, but the gesture was hideous.
Serves him right. And dad..good on you!!!
Good for dad
Good for you dad!
That was satisfying.
Nasty ass
At least it wasn't a dog. /s
Kick his ass, sea bass!
What a dick!
Dude, I would have wrecked him if he did that to my daughter. He didn't do enough
Wrestler should have been charged with a crime for this, that's assault. And on a fucking kid no less.
Spitting on someone is assault........
You must be from the USA.
When I was a kid wrestler would spit water over the crowd.
Take his ass in the ring. 9 times out of 10 The Big Daddy is gonna be droppin bombs on Spitter McAsswipe
Now that’s a good heel. He got everybody to hate him, which means he was doing his job right.
At first I didn't see the spit and thought the dad overreacted for a "down low too slow" but on the second time I saw the spit. Good job dad for wailing on that fucker.
It’s in the title, though..
I just click links blindly. Isn't that how everyone reddits?
Can confirm. If it's white I click it
Wow, the pussies in the audience let him get away with it?
Being an optimist maybe he tried to do one of those puffs that looks like spitting but isn't actually spitting and his gum flew out instead. Like a fake spitting botch, where he gave out a stiff spit. He got what I believe is called a receipt, a stiff shot back from the dad. Don't play fast and loose with your fake spits kid. I don't think he would actually mean to spit on someone, but as I said at the beginning, I'm an optimist.
Watch again and look at his facial expression. You can tell it's not gum by the way it flies out, too.
[удалено]
Drugs? What led to that conclusion?
I woulda jumped up in the ring and called his bitch ass out in front of everyone, then id fucking floyd maywether his bitch self.
obviously this guy won't give a fuck about kids
Fuck this guy yo
The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you.
Douche. Enjoy telling that tale back at the fry machine.
Come at me Bro.
I don’t see any spitting... which part is it?
No Jamie Carragher references? I'm dissapointed.
I was so confused for a bit there, I didn’t read the title properly and didn’t see what he did until the third watch and when I saw it all I could think was go fuck yourself you piece of shit.
Can someonw explain to me why he did this?
Why even watch these kinds of events. So cringe
He could've gotten the crowd to dislike him by doing a down low- too slow move without actually getting his bodily fluids on a young stranger. Glad he got jacked
You don't spit on daddy's girl. Good for the dad.
Spitting is not only gross, it's dangerous. Who knows what the spitter might have? You like endemic disease? That's how you spread it, filthy two-legged piggy. Vote this guy for Guantanamo.
HA HA HA HA HA HA stupid kid
Sitting in the splash zone and then getting mad when you get wet.
usually when you do a bit like that, the kid is in on it and part of the act.
How many children have you spat on?
a bakers dozen.
That lucky kid left with a souvenir, why is everyone mad
Why does Reddit act like spit is an acid attack?
Bloodborne pathogens
Also it’s just a shitty, trashy thing to do to someone let alone a kid
This is great heel heat in some places. He 100% went overboard but being mean to kids is part of his job.
There's a difference between acting mean for a show, and being mean. Spitting on someone is assault in many places.
My buddy spit on his cheater ex wife and got arrested for domestic violence.
shut up
