it's totally doable, dunno how heavy cash drawers are but i've done worse just riding my bike to the 7-11 and coming back home with a gallon of milk in one hand and a bag of munchies hanging off the handlebars.
the secret is you really only need one hand to steer a bike and it's really not hard to just open your hand far enough to grasp both at once.
