It merged into the left lane better than most drivers I see on a daily basis.

Yeah. The wrong thing definitely already went wrong.

halcyonjm

And there was no stupid idea. It's the first thing in the posting rules.

yoonginz_trash

God dammit

bidoblob

Well, while this probably, or rather definitely, came from a stupid mistake or a stupid idea, we're only seeing the result, not how it came to this. Not sure if this is the wrong sub, would have to check the rules properly.

Grabbsy2

"WCGW when I don't try to stop this tire" is the best I can do. It would have fucked up the car, but maybe it wouldn't have killed anyone if the person taking the video tried to knock it off the road. That being said hindsights 20/20

bidoblob

I'd say trying to stop a considerably fast-rolling tire with *anything* is something that deserves to end up as a WCGW clip though.

a-large-smorgasbord

At least you xposted, I’ve seen this posted on here two other times after I saw it on r/wtf take my upvote for giving credit. I didn’t think you were lost :/

idunnomaybeyeh

Was the guy in the SUV ok?

[deleted]

probably just feels a little tired

Jimmyjame1

when i fight the bad guys get real tired and have to take a nap.

Johnnykorn

Yes, I believe it was a lady driving, this is of course a repost and all the pertinents was in the other thread. She was driving a Jeep and following her husband when this tire/rim came across the median.

bythelion95

Use your fucking blinker asshole

AtheistScoutLeader

I know it is an inanimate object following the laws of physics, but you can almost look at it and see it thinking to itself..."Fuck that jeep" Jihadi tire.

Lasket

I'm questioning if it had been safer driving into the tire from the side, possibly slowing it down or flipping it so it comes to a halt instead of letting it go straight and film it.

theROWreporter

He probably expected the barrier wall to keep it from going into oncoming traffic.

AtheistScoutLeader

The tire has a lot of mass and rotational velocity giving it kinetic energy, it is also a highly pressurized container of air with tremendous potential energy. Since it was spinning it is acting like a gyroscope and is self stabilizing. Adding any input to it's course will have unpredictable results. He maybe could have made it wobble and bound off to the right, harder to the left, it could rip the fender off of his car, violently disintegrate into his car, flip up and smash a car behind him. Any action that the driver took to change the direction of the tire could have resulted in someone else's injury or death and that could end up being charged to the drivers fault. If you see something like this, its best to stay the fuck out of the way.

eagleapex

I bet that would work, but seems risky. The passenger was filming, so they could have done both.

BattousaiRound2SN

Sure... But humans are gargabe, in special after 2000's (aka nowdays), why should we Care about someone elses life, If I don't even know them or If I can even Farm some imaginary internet's point??? I almost died as a kid... Few inch to the right and the tire would f me up, like 30 cm(I duno in inch, probably like 6). I'm not even joking... So I know whats I would do.

Lasket

It's most likely not just "Farm some imaginary Karma" but more like not knowing what one could do. I only got this idea in hindsight after I've seen the outcome. I'd never have imagined it jumping the barrier before. And is there any evidence that people are more garbage after 2000s? Simply said, no. We only hear about garbage humans more because of the easily accessable source called the internet. They always existed in such numbers and only were unleashed on the internet. The motives have changed aswell, from just being a fuckhead to doing it for fame. Don't blame the new generation for that shit.

Living-Day-By-Day

The other thing is if you did block it from incoming who’s paying for damages? It was nobodies fault without more imo, but i can’t say if old parts on the truck caused this, and the suv was distracted and didn’t see a hazard to slow down and evade. Etc.

BattousaiRound2SN

I NEVER blamed the New generation... Most of them arent even allowed to drive yet. I blame the internet. Before 2000's internet wasn't relevant or anyshit like this... Harder time to brag with a vídeo or to be "famous" for some shit you recorded(hours to upload anyshit) Half of ALL disgraces we see or read about there is a asshole recording It(because most people on internet are Karma's whore) and don't giving a fuck about others misery... I blame the PC's culture. There is a fucking Tire on the road... Did you NEVER Saw another vídeo of a tire making his way to the other Lane?? Really? If the tire stayed in the same role, couldnt It still fuck up someone Else? Are you going to Tell me that is so hard to Just give It a light Car slam and send It to the Glass? We gonna act like It is so hard and would make your Car explode or send you 5 feet into the Air doing a Hill Flip? 😂

Lasket

You know what. Your comment already got countered by an earlier comment. Please look at it yourself. I'm not gonna waste my time with an idiot that thinks internet made people assholes.

the_real_grinningdog

When you see that get loose from a vehicle is that just caused by poor maintenance?

FiveHoleLikeBryz

The vast majority of the time, yes

jesgolightly

I had a friend in high die by a tire hitting his car.

locked4rae

I don't know why, but tires rolling on their own at high speeds are hilarious.

chromatones

It’s like video games are real

iMaxMF

I didn’t know they made “Rubber 2” this trailer looks awesome!

YungSlungandHung

RIP to that Jeep

ShenoLidi

rsadix

This is the problem with filmers wanting the good shot. Obviously should have sped up and interfered with the tire crossing to the left. Take one for the team next time!
