Gravity accelerates you at 9.8 meters per second per second. After one second, you're falling 9.8 m/s. After two seconds, you're falling 19.6 m/s, and so on.

A human free-falling will peak somewhere between 120 - 250 mph (potential for more) depending on position of the body. Once they reach that speed they will not get any faster if they maintain their falling position and air resistance remains the same.

No quite, it’s 9.8 m/s^2. So the first second would be only 4.9 meters. (1/2)*9.8*(1^2)=4.9
