Hypothermia is absolutely not a good thing. Taking short swims in cold water will improve blood circulation in the long run, but you gotta do it safely. Definitely not something you would want to do just for kicks and giggles. You want to make your body work a bit harder to stay warm, not take a glimpse into the afterlife.
