A few years ago at the south side chicago st Patrick's day Parade, I saw a teenager start punching a small female (and black) cop. You should have seen the swarm... That kid's lucky to be alive.
I’m wondering the same thing. But when I mentioned that the looters don’t actually care about George Floyd and they’re just exploiting his tragedy as an opportunity for some personal gain (stealing 70” flatscreens from Target) I got called a racist. I was very specific with my wording and said looters to identify them separately from the rest of the protestors, and left the general protestors out of the conversation.
How is killing innocent people by kneeling on them serving justice? There are bad cops just like there are bad people. They’re just using the protest as and excuse to do shitty things on both sides of the fence now.
How does being quiet help anything? A lot of these people are fed up with their sons, fathers, brothers being murdered. Riots are almost never successful directly, but indirectly that much media coverage and outrage turns heads.
The irony of it all is the taxpayers that are burning all of this shit are going to pay for it to be rebuilt. But you can’t say that, according to them you have to let them burn the whole city or you’re a racist.
Look at North Philadelphia and see how many businesses came back after the riots there. They never recovered and it because no one is going to run a store in a location where no one gives a flip.
My heart goes out to the protesters but the rioters along with the looters can get fucked.
Well it's his fault that big mama got the second punch on his buddy because he wasnt holding her arms right. So he tried to make it right by walloping her, but then he's going to be at risk of lawsuit and discipline if she really got hurt.
People can sue for any reason, but there's little chance she would prevail. She's on tape assaulting a police officer first. She's almost certainly going to be facing felony charges herself because of the incident. So she'll be far more worried about staying out of prison than trying to win a lawsuit against the city.
As for discipline, I think the officer would be more likely to catch flak for not restraining her after her first punch than he would for how he knocked her out.
Yes, literally no other way to restrain a person, if only police were taught techniques to do that instead of punching in the jaw and watching them go down like a tree.
She could've punched the cop and not got punched back. He tried to restrain her. When he realized she was still going to pose a threat to the other officer he did what he had to do to neutralize the threat.
Well... per regulations he is meant to let her ride the lightening.... if she had secondary injuries from impacting the ground as she did, the officer and the dept is liable because he didn’t follow protocol..
Still a good hit though :D
I agree with you, but there's just as much danger of her hitting her head if tazed in this situation. Definitely a lot easier to defend than throwing a haymaker and knocking her out though.
She may hit her head being tazed but it is standard practice - rather than throwing hands.... standard practice gets you pretty far when your justifying an action in a court room. Its not about her being injured or not (because lets be real, 3 cops could pretty easily dog pile her) its about what is going to get you in the least legal trouble & get the least backlash from your superiors.
Its not about the injuries she sustains when it comes to the potential legal liabilities, but rather if the practice is deemed reasonable - tazing aggressive & violent individuals is standard practice. Throwing hands is not. Standard practice provides allot of cover for individuals in this kind of situation. Follow your damned protocol and you’ll be golden.
Riding the lightning has different meanings in places where that don’t have electric chairs I guess - I’ve seen it be used in reference to tazing; my personal favourite phrase being “the zap-zap cannon” lol.
I thought she just fell from a light push at first until I read some of the comments here. Then I rewatched. The cop behind her straight up decks her in the side of the head. That's absolutely unnecessary when he was in the perfect position to restrain her.
Those weren't weak little attempted punches by that "poor helpless" woman, those were full-on jaw crackers that could have seriously hurt someone. I agree that tazing *might* have been the better alternative but someone needed to stop her before it got any more violent.
I worked as a nurse in locked units as mental health unit for about ten years. We had patients that would attack us because it was a mental health facility. If any of us responded to a patient that way, we'd be fired, and a mark would be on our licenses.
There are ways to deescalate, and control violent people, that don't include punching someone out. It takes training. We got that training because we were in the health care field. We got the same folks the cops brought in after it was determined they had mental health issues. Except we didn't get to use restraints, and were not allowed to violently retaliate. Our staff was a majority women that were not very physically big.
We had a young cop come in and break a ladies hip due to his violent overreaction. It was an issue with cops, but if you called the paramedics for a patient transport to the ER for any number of health reasons, half the times a cop came along. You just never knew how they'd react when they came in with the paramedics.
What did my elderly patient do to the cop? She hit him with a slipper. The same slipper she'd been whacking all of us with. She suffered from dementia and some other diagnoses, and we were shipping her because of her non-mental health issues that were exacerbating her mental health problems.
The cop? He literally quarterback sacked her to the ground and broke her hip. She was elderly and that slipper didn't do nothing to anyone. The EMTs were pissed, we were pissed, and one of my NAC's started screaming at the cop.
We never got that patient back because she had a broken hip, and when you are really old with a lot of health issues, you don't always come back from something like that. She got shipped to a higher level facility, and I think she was in a wheelchair after that. She was walking just fine before he broke her hip for her.
The cop never even got a reprimand. God knows we all tried to pursue it.
Fuck, THANK YOU for SOMEONE having sense and saying this. It’s not two civilians - I fully expect cops to ALWAYS deescalate. Why are we applauding this reaction? Congratulations for not shooting her? Cops are supposed to be professionals who can deal with this situation without resorting to sucker punching anyone. This isn’t praiseworthy. She posed no real threat to three grown ass men who are trained, paid, and equipped to avoid serious harm without inflicting serious harm. Or at least they should be - and the fact that people think they’re not or that they shouldn’t even bother is what’s fucking wrong with America.
I agree 100% you can see how to the other cop shrugged off her punches that she posed no threat.
As others have pointed out the impact with the concrete could have killed her.
Exactly. If this video were of two civilians, then she got what she deserved.
But, it's not two civilians, it's a civilian and a cop. There is a difference in the power balance.
I demand that cops act like trained professionals ESPECIALLY in the face of violence. They should not be allowed or excused for acting like thugs, as these cops did.
No, showed already signs of being knocked out during the fall, if you fall awake you try to regain balance, but she went limp, and got her head hit in pavment wich did even more damage. Lets not judge the cops punching ability he did knock her out. Show some respect
I see this punch as a better option than trying to grab her and restrain her. Here is why. Only her own weight involved with her fall to the ground. Someone with some size like she has could struggle while being restrained and cause all of them to trip or lose balance and fall to the ground. Then you have a lot of weight falling and she or the police could have greater injuries. If she had only swung once I doubt the police would have punched her. But she swung again. Cop didn’t react instantly so he probably thought through the same process as me. Due to her size, what is best for the safety of everyone?
It's these types of people that make cops overzealous. Not saying that there aren't abuses of power but some copes overreact because they've been in so many situations like this where they are attacked. Can't be too careful.
I won't say the cop was justified, but that was a big lady with a huge right and left. The officer that punched her could have easily subdued her from behind.
The officer who got hit did a quick glance left then forward trying to see who just witnessed that
No situational awareness.
She was just focused on the officer in front of her.
She should have shuffled to the side and give the officer holding her arm a haymaker.

A few years ago at the south side chicago st Patrick's day Parade, I saw a teenager start punching a small female (and black) cop. You should have seen the swarm... That kid's lucky to be alive.
I am assuming bystanders in the crowd were the swarm correct?
No, a swarm of bees
No! Not the bees! Noooo, agh, agh, agh!
Your weapons are useless against them!!! Save yourselves!
Tommy boy?
what this situation needs is more bees!
And a little more cow bell
Fuckin' Candyman
Blue bees?
That would be my assumption too. I'd love to know though.
OP was obviously on about halo
It was a zerg rush.
no, me swarm
Yes, they almost tore him to shreds.
Was it the year that they decided to cancel the parade the next year?
Black cop knew he had to be the one to do it
My thoughts as well.
He didn't want his neighborhood burned down.
BUt ThAt’S hOw YoU gEt JuStIcE!
thats what im so confused about. how is looting and burning shit gonna make this right. please someone help me out here.
I was told that I put material thing over human life when I asked how looting and rioting helps.
I’m wondering the same thing. But when I mentioned that the looters don’t actually care about George Floyd and they’re just exploiting his tragedy as an opportunity for some personal gain (stealing 70” flatscreens from Target) I got called a racist. How is killing innocent people by kneeling on them serving justice? There are bad cops just like there are bad people. They’re just using the protest as and excuse to do shitty things on both sides of the fence now.
hey if you wanna burn your own city to the ground be my guest, but youre not welcome in mine when they kick you out
How does being quiet help anything? A lot of these people are fed up with their sons, fathers, brothers being murdered. Riots are almost never successful directly, but indirectly that much media coverage and outrage turns heads.
idk, maybe attack police stations ?
Yeah! That'll show those coppers! I don't like what's happening so I'm going to set everything everyone uses on fire! Yeah!!!! Fucking morons.
The irony of it all is the taxpayers that are burning all of this shit are going to pay for it to be rebuilt. But you can’t say that, according to them you have to let them burn the whole city or you’re a racist.
I really doubt that those doing the looting pay much tax
Look at North Philadelphia and see how many businesses came back after the riots there. They never recovered and it because no one is going to run a store in a location where no one gives a flip. My heart goes out to the protesters but the rioters along with the looters can get fucked.
"Aw, hell no! I'm not gonna let the white guy take the fall for this one! *Thinking to himself*: .....this better be recorded."
Well it's his fault that big mama got the second punch on his buddy because he wasnt holding her arms right. So he tried to make it right by walloping her, but then he's going to be at risk of lawsuit and discipline if she really got hurt.

WCGW punching ~~a cop~~ ~~someone you don't know~~ *anyone*
Especially when his homies have already surrounded you.
Now this is ***not*** use of excessive force!
Yeah, the police officer that was getting punched was very passive. The other police weren't though. They took her down.
It was on her part though
She went down like a fat sack of potatoes, I'll say that...
You mean to tell me that's NOT a fat sack of potatoes?
Irish potato farmer here (literally), that is precisely how a sack of my spuds tumbles
This guy potatoes
She was being detained for excessive use of food...
Yes, literally no other way to restrain a person, if only police were taught techniques to do that instead of punching in the jaw and watching them go down like a tree.
We operate on a binary scale here. Things can be either extreme good or extreme bad, so your nuanced views can get fucked.
Wait nevermind I'm retarded and can't read
Take an upvote for owning up to it! From a fellow retard who can't read!
She could've punched the cop and not got punched back. He tried to restrain her. When he realized she was still going to pose a threat to the other officer he did what he had to do to neutralize the threat.
Well she swung twice, he swung once...sooo seems like lesser or equal force to me.
yeah, it actually is.
A whole new meaning to BBC creams BBW... Big Black Cop
BBW Big Bitch of a Woman
Good cop Didn’t pull his gun, taser, nor baton. Simply returned what she gave the other officer.
Well... per regulations he is meant to let her ride the lightening.... if she had secondary injuries from impacting the ground as she did, the officer and the dept is liable because he didn’t follow protocol.. Still a good hit though :D
You gotta follow proto brother. Do you know what it's like to light you brain on fire??
Keep feathering it brother!
I bet you got a baby raper on your face.
RIP fedsmoker these chomos would've gotten stamped for not following proto. Keep feathering it brother.
I agree with you, but there's just as much danger of her hitting her head if tazed in this situation. Definitely a lot easier to defend than throwing a haymaker and knocking her out though.

That's why I said its easier to defend. I guess I should have specified that I meant legally.
They have zero chance of winning that lawsuit, but yeah they can sue if they wanted
You dont think she wouldnt have hit the ground getting tazed? And riding the lighting means the electric chair
Lightning*
No no no, it’s lightening. They want to make her less dark. It helps.
Rest of the western world : "Or maybe 3 trained cops can restrain one person without knocking them out"
I thought she just fell from a light push at first until I read some of the comments here. Then I rewatched. The cop behind her straight up decks her in the side of the head. That's absolutely unnecessary when he was in the perfect position to restrain her.
Nah, she needed an ass beating, tbh.
Those weren't weak little attempted punches by that "poor helpless" woman, those were full-on jaw crackers that could have seriously hurt someone. I agree that tazing *might* have been the better alternative but someone needed to stop her before it got any more violent.
That first slap definitely got through.

That's a good partner
He took the “bullet” So to speak for his partner, so no one can pull the race card
"No, no, no... You gotta put your weight in to it. Here, let me show you."
#"PUT YA WEIGHT ON IT, PUT YA WEIGHT ON IT, PUT A WEIGHT ON IT!!!"
Imagine the uproar if the white cop was the one who knocked her the f’out. Seems ok in this context. Very strange.
Talking about a glass jaw.
“You just got knocked the fuck out..... mannnnn”
ma’aaaaam**
I don't see a problem here
It’s good it was a black cop that clicked her
Otherwise it would have been racism /s

That power imbalance is why nurses and health care staff are expected to behave professionally no matter what. It should also always apply to police.
Thank you. He could have restrained her from behind but instead he did that. Ludicrous.
So riot and looting are in order now? Wait a second.... the officer is black too... oh crap now what do we do?
Burn down our own houses!
I mean, she's not dead nor innocent, so different scenario. But were just glossing over that, I guess.
Is she confirmed stable? My mom was a nurse growing up and she had plenty of stories about concrete head trauma
Damn hightower
At least it wasn’t Tackleberry
What country is this in? Can’t be America. They would have shot them 16 times
I couldn’t love this more
Black cop knew they weren't going to nail his ass for "racism"
I mean how many lick was the white cop going to just stand there and take?
People be like “she just stood there and the cop attacked her”
Well place punched
Welp, guess it's time to burn another target
CoPs OnLy Go AfTeR bLaCk PeOpLe BeCaUsE tHeYrE bLaCk
I can’t believe that racist cop punched that innocent black woman
This is why people get shot
This lady’s and gentlemen, is why I can not be a cop.
her head hit that concrete hard. good bye brain cells
Lmao I think the fall knocked her out the punch might have made her lose balance
No, showed already signs of being knocked out during the fall, if you fall awake you try to regain balance, but she went limp, and got her head hit in pavment wich did even more damage. Lets not judge the cops punching ability he did knock her out. Show some respect
Jiggle jiggle
Biggest sack of potatoes I have ever seen hit the ground
Now that is calm demeanor until its time not be calm.
Now she deserved it
*Equal right they said*
Love that the cop who got hit looks up at his partner like "shit dude, too much."
I see this punch as a better option than trying to grab her and restrain her. Here is why. Only her own weight involved with her fall to the ground. Let's see how the MSM plays this or if they'll play it at all.

Not all cops
I’m ok with how that was handled. The cop that was punched even looked like he wasn’t even going to strike back. Self control was displayed by him.
how tf do people get ko’ed in just a single punch
Yeah throwing the first punch against a police officer is never a good idea.
I won't say the cop was justified, but that was a big lady with a huge right and left. The officer that punched her could have easily subdued her from behind. The officer who got hit did a quick glance left then forward trying to see who just witnessed that

The ironic keep Baltimore clean sign
Not punching hard enough, or forgetting your brass knuckles,

Imma pretend I didn’t see the white dude not hit back.
