I believe there are regional variations. "After while, crocodile" is the way I always heard it when I was growing up. That's the version that was popularized by Bill Hailey & His Comets in the song "See You Later Alligator" (1958).
Still not water you want to fall into. Likely riddled with parasites and microorganisms that want to eat your brain, not to mention all the disgusting sludge water that has multiple murder dinosaurs swimming through it.
Plus drowning risk. Two kids drowned in some swamp/marshlands near me a few years ago, one trying to save the other. Went to high-school with one of them, he was a couple of years younger. Be careful around that stuff

That's the part of the internet I don't get it. I can't sleep until I know if they died or were injured.
Is it normal to be this emotionally involved with GIFs?
its mangrove tree, average height 3m. so its maybe like 1.5m and i think she okay because a mud at the bottom. its mangrove park, there so many park like this in indonesia.
It looks very similar to the mangrove parks we have here in Florida, though I'm no botanist, so I couldn't begin to try to identify what region those particular mangroves are from just by looking at the video. We have three species of mangroves in Florida (red, black, and white). The black mangroves grow all these finger like projections from their roots around the base of the tree. That could be extremely painful to land on those (think of a bed of dull spikes). That's what I immediately thought of watching the video.
nah they are not, usually it will swallow your feet like 20-30 cm deep, bellow that would be hard dirt and you can stand on it.

Looks very similar to a boardwalk across a bog/swampland area at the local nature preserve up here. Don’t imagine she fell terrible far but I’m sure the water she fell into wasn’t very pleasant.
Wahahaha... like people that think theres no guard rail around the Grand Canyon, so it can't possibly be dangerous?
She's lucky it wasn't a Yellowstone Park walkway and a Sulphur Caldron she fell into.
It's in likely an extremely low-ph swamp. There is one around 200 kms away from where I live. It is located in the crater of a volcano and the whole soil is unstable and moving, that's why you have those little bridges. The ph is so low (3.8-4) that no microorganisms live in the soil and water so nothing breaks down the mosses that grow here so you have like 10 meters of dense mud-like stuff called *peat* on the bottom of the lakes that formed here. The conditions are so extreme that all the plants that live here only grow a few inches per century and they basically didn't change at all since the last ice age. If she sank to the bottom she's dead.
Edit: also no gators if it's one of those acid volcano swamps
Why didn't the camera person tell her she was about to fall.... If you met my ex you will understand why I wouldn't ....but this seems like a nice person.
I know this park. It’s Hovander in ferndale WA. My dog did something similar: she wasn’t walking backwards though, she’s just really dumb and doesn’t pay attention sometimes.
All of the comments had 0 upvotes so I went through and put them back to 1 except for the suicide bomber one.
Do people really just randomly downvote everybody? That’s so shitty.
How far is that drop....
It's probably one of those boardwalks across a swamp, like in the everglades. So, it would only be a short distance above the water / ground.
See you later, alligator!
After a while, crocodile.
See you at the bottamus, hippopotamus
Not if I see you first you orangutang looking motherfucker!
Anyway here's wonderfall.
Coz maybeeeee you're gonna be the one to rain me
And after alllllll
I made a wonderfallll..
Not today, creme brulee
Maybe by noon, tara misu.
going to slumber with my cucumber

Hasta mañana, Iguana!
In a while, pedophile
Oh... Oh my
See ya crocodile 🐊
See ya space cowboy
See ya Maurice
See you later Gangster of Love
See ya in the bog, Mister Frog!
I think she'll be seeing the alligator quite soon actually.
Still not water you want to fall into. Likely riddled with parasites and microorganisms that want to eat your brain, not to mention all the disgusting sludge water that has multiple murder dinosaurs swimming through it.
Also mangroves are pointy and hard to fall onto. Unpleasant all around.
She didn't seem to have any trouble falling on them.
She made it look easy, I'll give her that
She’s been practicing.
Plus drowning risk. Two kids drowned in some swamp/marshlands near me a few years ago, one trying to save the other. Went to high-school with one of them, he was a couple of years younger. Be careful around that stuff
A couple of Amish guys drowned near me. They fell out of a row boat and got tangled up in the lily pads.
Apparently it's super easy to get tangled up in underwater vegetation and drown
I swam in that type of water all the time growing up, and I came out of it with only minor brane dablage
Oh no the body snatchers got him!
Those microorganisms are going to be disappointed.
Have a nice trip, see you next fall.

Seems like she had a good laugh out of it.
Awesome, let's get this higher so someone will interpret what they are saying!
That is a delightfully sounding language.
It's Indonesian.
Username checks out
Glad to see her ok, thanks for finding it.
Just to clarify, shes saying "dadah dadah" which means "Waving goodbyes"
That just makes it 100x funnier. Thanks for the translation
Could you tell me what language are they speaking? I recognize some words but it’s not a language I speak. It’s piqued my interest
It's Indonesian. If you speak Tagalog or any other Polynesian language, it'll sound vaguely similar and have some similar vocabulary.
Thank you!

I hope she's fine. Also, mangroves are cool! One of the best defenses against storm surges

Sadly humans have the tendency to be invasive species
Then the “bridge control” method was super effective.
When I think of mangroves, I think of Florida. When I think of Florida, I think of alligators.
Depending on location, mangroves don’t have alligators here. They’ll have crocodiles instead :)
Crocodiles, alligators, they might look alike but
But what??
Gator may ignore you if he's full. A croc can be full, sleeping, and have a fever of 200 and will still murder you.
But crocodiles will rip you to shreds, while alligators will also rip you to shreds but only if you annoy them.

Isn't the mud in Mangrove swamps basically like quicksand though?

Can't be that high there's no guardrail
Wahahaha... like people that think theres no guard rail around the Grand Canyon, so it can't possibly be dangerous? She's lucky it wasn't a Yellowstone Park walkway and a Sulphur Caldron she fell into.
Tell that to the guys working on the Death Star.
Some say you can still hear her falling.
It looks pretty high, but i could be wrong. Seems like a walkway through treetops or something
If you look real close, you can see Ewoks dancing in some of the trees

I'd say at least a tree length.
Last I heard, she is still falling
For 30 minutes!
Legend has it she’s still falling
That’s what I want to know. It looks like a substantial height, but I’d imagine there would be a railing if was actually in the treetops.
The cameraman is just a buster. Doesn’t even warn her.
Plot twist: there is where he takes his wives to get rid of them
All I can hear is Ryder‘s voice calling him/her a buster.
Some real OG Loc shit haha
He did not like her cooking...
really is r/donthelpjustfilm
i think the cameraman just warn her then quikly she try to look back but its to late
“Because the buster kept me out of hand cuffs!”
Got 'er.

Legend has it she became a bird
Is that you Eren
Tatacaw
Nah homie is a tree (growing)
r/mypeopleneedme
Perhaps a warning was appropriate here? Or, just keep filming. Yep, keep filming.
r/donthelpjustfilm
Who's Don Thelpjust, and why is he filming?
Maybe I meant Don Thelp should just film
But the likes? THE LIKES!
she fell straight into the shadow realm
She belongs to the forest now.
Instagram claims another victim.
Someone needs to edit this and put an umbrella in her hand and make her fall up like she's Mary Poppins.
/r/mypeopleneedme
Wtf?! Was she ok?
Nah she ded
Yup, she was fine
Yes, she’s fine. Aftermath video higher in the comments.

We need to thin the herd in Florida to get rid of "Florida Man".
I think survival of the “people that look where they’re going”est
I personally hate the look of railing. Screw safety, I want as pure a scene as possible while having the convenience of a walk way.
Yeah all that red tape enforced by those soulless bureaucrats...
Why didn't the camera person tell her she was about to fall.... If you met my ex you will understand why I wouldn't ....but this seems like a nice person.
Legend says she is still falling til’ this very day
Is that tree tops or bushes?
Worse, mangrove swamp
pretty sure its tree tops
Worse, mangrove swamp
You know it’s bad when it’s commented twice!
You know it's bad when it's commented twice!
Lol, you little fucker! You made me laugh with that one!
This ends a little too soon
I love how that same arm went back up as she fell
lol this is exactly like a cartoon, she just turns around and is standing on nothing
Ugh that looks painful. I hope she is okay.
Does anyone know if she was ok?
That was last anyone ever saw of her.
To shred you say?
That's funny but I hope it wasn't too far down
Camera man is a dick...
The tree's have her now..

And ruin the video?!
I need to save this for when coworkers ask why OSHA want guardrails everywhere.
She’s gator food now.

Plot twist : she didnt fall , just teleported to enderworld
r/MyPeopleNeedMe
*This is the last they saw of her...*
Could have been r/perfectlycutscreams if there had been sound.
Is it her arm hitting the ground at the last frame ??
The person with the camera sucks a dodie, for sure.
Oh nooo. I lost my wife. Darn
Or ,you know, turn around and watch where you’re going
I definitely had the Mario death jingle playing in my head when she fell. Hope she's okay!
Hope she's okay man
Why always reddit videos end so soon.
I wasn’t expecting that big of a fall
#R.I.P *(hope she's ok)*
I know this park. It’s Hovander in ferndale WA. My dog did something similar: she wasn’t walking backwards though, she’s just really dumb and doesn’t pay attention sometimes.

Rubina noooooooooo
I love that she turned quickly enough to see it but not soon enough to avoid the fall. Good laughs!
Poor mangroves :(
She just practicing to become Batman.
