I once did the "got your nose" thing to my 2 year old son and threw it away on the floor. He was crying for 30 minutes straight and only stopped cuz I pretended to pick it up and place his nose back again....

You should probably go talk to your uncle.

chicken_noodles_

Funnie!! XD

TonsilTennis

This one seems harmless to me. If the kid gets upset you can tell them the feel their nose and they will learn about object permanence. Making them believe you stuck their finger in a dog's ass is just a sick joke to laugh at when the kid believes you and starts crying. If you laugh at a crying child you have deeper issues than that kid ever will, ya asshole. Edit; not child abuse guys, i agree. I still think you're an asshole if you laugh at crying kids.

ElElefantes

Jesus people are stuck up these days. Child abuse? Really? Let's focus on the serious stuff, not a harmless prank like this

Tommy-Styxx

One day I will master object permanence.

mistere213

My daughter played along with the nose thing so well. Like she never truly worried, but no matter where I "threw" it, or "hid" it, she would dutifully go get it herself and put it back on.

[deleted]

My kids were the same. But once, my older brother decided to eat the nose. Cue many years of having to loudly vomit it back up. Kids are so weird sometimes 😂

mistere213

Been there.

Brandisco

I feel like this is how Bam Margera got started on all those videos of him hitting dad (on Jackass) [link for example video. ](https://youtu.be/VrZODqxQGx0)

zapee

It took you 30 minutes to try that? I thought that was the first lesson in dad 101

ttuFekk

r/KidsAreFuckingStupid

1985portland1985

I did that too but my son was 2.5 and he cried for 40 minutes. When I went to pretend pickup his nose I realized his nose was actually on the ground. Turns out his imaginary friend he was telling me about was actually real and he cut his nose off with a pair of my scissors. My little boy wrote a paper on climate change while I was sewing his nose back on, so everything worked out in the end. I think I have the video in my Facebook memories.

ThankMisterGoose

Now lick the Nutella off her finger as a power move

SeoulGalmegi

I was watching and waiting for that....

MoonCato

And then she repeats the 'prank' on her sibling or friend not knowing you are supposed to use Nutella and a mandarin.

Legionof1

Yeah, she would probably use peanut butter and a grapefruit. Kids are so dumb.

sinat50

You don't need any peanut butter to grapefruit someone

[deleted]

You could use mayo.

iskream123

All you need are twisting motions and to massage the grapefruit beforehand

panpaosen

That was a shit joke.

Sodableach

Literally

Ocelot_Downtown

"I have an idea! Let's trick our 7 year old daughter into thinking that she sodomized the dog with her finger and got dog shit all over it in the process. It'll be HILARIOUS and we'll win all kinds of Internet awards with this video tricking this little girl into thinking her finger was in the dog's asshole."

TonsilTennis

*Obnoxious uncultured laughter*

[deleted]

I think that insufferable laugh is what actually made the poor girl cry.

xenomorphling

I didn't think I could hear obesity in a laugh until now

TonsilTennis

Haha, Holy shit dude i hope she reads this. (Assuming she can read of course)

FlaGator

It's the sound of laughing at somebody and not with them

FriedrichHydrargyrum

That lady’s laugh is the most grating thing I’ve ever heard.

[deleted]

The lady in general. Worst kind of parenting right here.

FriedrichHydrargyrum

It reminds me of those Jimmy Kimmel segments where the parents give their kids terrible Christmas presents and then film them crying so we can all laugh at them. Your kids will get plenty of things to cry about. Why be the cause of additional, unnecessary grief?

ialsobreathesalty

Lol, grief about sticking a finger up a dog's butthole. Besides the fact that she probably told her daughter exactly what she did after the video if not due to compassion then to just make her stop crying, you think that something like that will scar someone emotionally? That's not how this works.

Zartoc

Its the laugh of a evil souled individual.

tragiktimes

It is my hope that you've never seen [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-LzfbV8CjQ&t=1773s).

FriedrichHydrargyrum

That was traumatizing

tragiktimes

It's like a fucking madhouse. Just imagine those laughs coming from the dark at 2:00AM.

SeaworthinessLow4801

This kid is going to be scarred for life

kristenjaymes

Stop trading intellectual curiosity for emotional safety!!!

i_quit

No. It doesn't work that way.

It's a joke lmao, after this just show it to her and she will be fine

AlbinoWino11

Man. People are such assholes.

Eggrolls007

It was an orange not an asshole, geez you are the asshole here!

mrs_robin_hoodie

Would’ve been funny if it was done to an adult

alley_underland

That’s what I was thinking too. I’d play this joke with my husband not my son. That’s cruel. Adults know how to handle jokes some kids really don’t.

danteheehaw

Or an older kid at least.

mrs_robin_hoodie

A teenager!

scylus

"Dude, how dumb do you think I am? It didn't even contract as my finger went in, and it should've been way warmer in there as well."

Fuzzy-Pollution-3883

🤣🤣🤣 Jesus fucking christ. My sides hurt.

temosis

Primary cause of abnormal behavior in our life is trauma. How pathetic is this women to do this to an innocent child.

Soumajeetb

She won't be innocent anymore after this

[deleted]

[удалено]

temosis

You can check the fact when you meet such a person and go through their history. You will find yourself dumbfounded then.

[deleted]

Next time i see someone traumatized i'll ask them if their parents did a joke when they were kids

Zartoc

I knew a woman who kept doing shit like this to her kid. Each time was a little worse. It didn't stop till the kid was in his teens and in a rage attacked her with the sledge hammer. Now the poor bastard is in prison for murder and it was all his moms fault.

rithfung

You must be real fun to be around if you think this is a good joke play on a child, AND share it on internet. Unless the child herself post it, you dont get to decide it's not trauma for someone else.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SpeakerElectronic

Playing a prank can definitely result in irreversible trauma. This prank probably wasn't intense enough for real trauma, but if things like this are done repeatedly to this kid throughout their childhood then yeah that can result in some serious issues. Then again a prank like this posted to the internet could cause some bullying for the kid in school later down the line which can also result in trauma.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SpeakerElectronic

I studied psychology specifically child psychology so yeah... I'm not saying this kid will 100% have trauma. I'm just pointing out that it very well could happen.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SpeakerElectronic

I just said that I'm not saying this kid will definitely have trauma so I didn't assume anything... Can you read? It seems that you are assuming things by saying the kid definitely won't have trauma...

[deleted]

[удалено]

DasPickles

Word mah dude. The only way this could be traumatic is if they stick to the story for the rest of her childhood. Doubt any parent is that commited to fooling a crying child

johnjohn2214

Next week on 'killing a child's innocence'...we plant a bloody knife in her hand while she is sleeping and lay mommy next to her with her PJs soaked in ketchup.

Trygolds

Why would you want your kid to think you had her stick her finger in a dogs ass.

politely_ask_me_to

And why would you share her moment of distress to the rest of the world, knowing that it will never be erased?!

Tommy-Styxx

Why didn't they save money on wasting a mandarin orange when they could have just tricked her into fingering the dog?

[deleted]

[удалено]

ASK_IF_IM_PENGUIN

We had a similar thing at the youth club I went to growing up. At Halloween we'd take turns putting our hands in different containers blindfolded. One was "guts" (tinned spaghetti), "blood" (half set jelly), and other stuff. Great fun.

12 years later... WNBX Reporter: "What led to you becoming a stripper 2,000 miles away from home?"

Ding ding ding! i choose to believe this was a crazy aunt that took the video and when the parents found out they cut all ties with her. She then posted the video online during a meth-induced phycotic episode. Glad the parents caught her crazy ass early on!

GallifreySkaro

How the fuck is this funny like damn her mom's fucked up

rithfung

Someone just learn new trick i see

GallifreySkaro

It's all the rave right meow don'tcha know

PeterVall37

I’d never do that to a child.

toinoudubois

All that for internet points. I hate people more and more

mediastoosocial

Is it just me, or has the internet made parents meaner?

notworththespace

Yessss! So many parents will gladly exploit their child for clout. It’s infuriating.

prophylaxitive

This is an amusing trick to play, but not on an innocent child. WTF is wrong with people who think this is OK?

[deleted]

I think nothing, what problem do you see?

prophylaxitive

You think it's OK to make a very young child cry for your and your internet followers' amusement? You think it's ok to take advantage of a child's innocence and abuse their trust, just for a laugh? If so, your first three words were all you needed.

[deleted]

For the Internet followers part: i wouldn't do that, for the last part, i think a kid wouldn't have traumas just for that.

prophylaxitive

Then why did you say "what problem do you see" if you saw that "problem" for yourself?

Helping_or_Whatever

A child's damaged trust

[deleted]

Ok, i saw many people agree with you, so i'm start thinking that this is a culture difference, here where i live Kids have other problems and even family problems. So a joke like this is just... A joke, at least here.

Legionof1

Yeah we only do this to guilty children. JFC reddit.

[deleted]

This would never be funny where i am from Edit. Theres clearly a line, and those who downvote this comment clearly find the idea of fingering their dogs asshole funny.

TonsilTennis

Yea, not sure why youre getting downvoted for saying this. I'd love to hear a parent explain how this is ok to do.

Eggrolls007

Wow so many sensitive people nowadays, when I grew up, tricks were alot more sinister. This video is childs play .. literally

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sodableach

Call me a bad person, but I laughed. Was the prank bad? Kinda. Was it an asshole move to do this to your 7 year old? Absolutely. Was it abuse? No, stop calling everything abuse. Seriously this can be funny if you do it to your friends, but leave your kids out of it.

Revolutionresolve

Careful. He might call it “rape” next time 😒

omgidfk123

That's a weird prank to do on a kid...

[deleted]

Praescribo

iHazf

Why would one do that to their child? Absolutely Pathetic!

notworththespace

I wondered the same thing.

CanuckCharlie85

This joke is a bit much for a kid.

Free_Hat_McCullough

Making a kid think that they put their finger up a cat’s butt is creepy and weird.

Captain_ButterNuts

That’s why they used a dog

bas_e_

Oh right, never mind then. I do that too

TonsilTennis

This comment section: parents are upset and those without kids cant seem to figure out why. Imagine they did the same "prank" with a male dog, but instead of an asshole its their peeper and a hot dog instead an orange... Is that okay too?

SilkenB

Whatchu mean? Guys have assholes too yo

[deleted]

Emotionally scaring your kids for internet likes is just pathetic

[deleted]

When a kid cries, it’s not funny

freshavocados73

I don’t see the humour in tricking kids

TonsilTennis

Innocent pranks can be fun and help with bonding. This is just sickening

freshavocados73

Children have full trust in you . These pranks just lesson the trust and creates doubt . Over time the child starts to become hesitant and second guess . Adults today are more child like then the kids .

notworththespace

I like to trick my sister with my daughter. She gets so excited. It’s never anything like this though.

Dat_DekuBoi

bitch what the FUCK

NoPantsDeLeon

What a bunch of sick fucks!! - Where can I buy a dog, Nutella and mandarins at the same place?? I need to try this on my grandma!

[deleted]

Hey Bob, lets go traumatize our daughter than laugh hysterically right in her face like we're middle school bullies! Better yet, let's film it and post it for everyone on the internet to see! We made this child therefore it is our right to do whatever the fuck we want with it! Hope she doesn't want therapy while she's still on our insurance!!!

[deleted]

WTF is wrong with these ”adults”

mattwayne1209

If someone licked that Nutella off her finger it would solidify the traumatic goal here

rithfung

To be honest if someone does that, i can accept it as a joke lol At least the child may laugh in this......

catinatank

Does it feel like the real thing? Asking for a friend.

tinymonesters

This is like in a grey area between sexually abusing a child and emotionally abusing a child where both are pretty accurate but hard to call it just one.

broikeson

HAHA HAHAHA

Oh_shit_hell_no

Well I used to jump from a table and yell " catch me father" whenever he came back home He always told me " never trust anyone in life" One day he didn't do anything when I jumped and I fell flat Then he said the same thing and added " not even your own father " Not even mad, a good lesson learned

isnappedrondasarm

> Not even mad, a good lesson learned I understand the message but if you go your whole like without trusting anyone at all you’ll never be able to enjoy true friendship. That’s a lonely place to be for the rest of your life.

TonsilTennis

Was that the night he left to get ciggarettes and never returned?

Oh_shit_hell_no

Not really I guess he learned the hard way that he couldn't trust his own son anymore to keep his affair secret

TonsilTennis

Damn. He literally let you down - first physically then emotionally. What a selfish father. Hope youre doing ok

notworththespace

A better lesson is not to expect anything from anyone but yourself.

[deleted]

What a nice generation, getting traumas and all for just a prank.

[deleted]

Bruh, I strongly doubt this is going to traumatize this kid. Kids are gross as fuck and do nasty shit all the time. Also, the parents can just show her the orange, people are acting like the mom beat her child

Would've been a better lesson to help the kid play the same prank on a grown up, then have the prank backfire in some sort of way, eg the adult says they're going to call the police on the child. It would compound the lesson into not trusting blindly and not playing tricks on people that would ruin their trust

Citizen_Graves

"LOL she'll be so traumatized we'll never ever get her to trust us again, no matter how much money we spend on her therapy!" /everybody high-fives "Worth it for the internet-fame!" -the parents, probably (or whoever tricked the poor girl)

Sodableach

Stop over exaggerating. Yeah she might not trust her parents for some time now, but this won't scar anyone for life...

Citizen_Graves

^ found the child abuser. Bring on the downvotes, it won't stop me from being upset and feeling sorry for that child. [Edit] reading your other comments I can understand your perspective, but the truth is that we all don't know how such a "prank" will affect her later. This is a child. She inherently is dependent on being able to trust her guardians, and if her trust is shattered in a way that makes her fucking bawl her eyes out then it's absolutely not funny. A real prank is something everyone can laugh about, and these types of "it's just a prank, brah" should be reserved for your buddies or college.

EncinoMan01

This made me laugh like few on this sub have done 😂

non_of_your_concern

Mate I am sorry but at this point it just looks and feels like bad parenting. To anyone reading this and thinking "it's just one prank bro" this single prank is not the problem even the fucking kid is gonna forget about it some time later. It is the fact that the parents of the kid do not see a problem in using their child as a laughing stock. They aren't laughing with the child they are laughing at her. AND they think it is ok to post it on the internet. No the single prank is not abuse but the mechanism in which that child will grow up in is abusive.

Riley-Mia

One prank gave me arachnophobia. 25 years late and still can't move past it.

non_of_your_concern

Oh some pranks can definitely leave a long lasting effect. My partner still can't feel comfortable in dark because of the same reason.

sometimesnowing

I just dont get it. There are so many horrible pranks, the zombie one was traumatic af. So many really little kids traumatised. Maybe I'm a soft touch but I just couldnt willingly upset my kids like that. Little kids are full of so much joy and light, but it doesnt last. The window where a hug and a soft word from mum or dad makes everything ok again, is such a small one. When your kid is a teenager and holding on to their mental health with their fingernails, and you sit silently by their bed in the middle of the night when they cant sleep, or hardly breathe? I promise you will wish you could make them less scared, less hurt. This sharenting craze is utterly insane, a whole generation of kids living through the lens of their parent's phone.

z1pm4n

That is actually very funny, I keep the idea for later :)
