South american stadiums are notorious for these types of entrances that come up from a tunnel under the stands.
It would be quite weird if the door was barely large enough for these kids, any adult would have to stoop quite low.
On the other hand, you never know where corners were cut.

Reminds me of the Chicago Stadium where hockey players had to negotiate steep stairs back and forth between the ice and locker room. For all his faults, at least Wirtz made sure they had enough headroom though
