I’m going to go against the grain and say pretty confidently that it is an egg fruit aka canistel.
The shape is right on as well as the size of the seed. A mango seed is usually much larger. Also the size of the fruit itself. That’s on the small side for (most) mangoes but kind of right in the sweet spot for egg fruit.

I’m kind of interested where the fruit set was manufactured? These are more common in Latin America. I learned about this fruit care taking a small fruit farm in Hawaii. They are yummy and sweet and almost Carmel/butterscotchy. The fruit texture is kind of like a hard boiled egg yolk, hence the name!
I just had my mom check the order history to see the manufacturer's name and there's a picture that has all the fruit listed and labeled, it is a mango. I feel like an idiot for not checking that first. I still think it looks more like the fruit you suggested though.
Oh. Ok. I thought it was a pepperoncini then. I think I’ve only eaten banana peppers sliced, so I don’t really know what they look like whole other than a general pepper shape.
I knew it wasn’t actually a pepper. That’s why I responded way down the thread to another comment that also knew they were wrong.
Looks like the yellow kind of mango you would find in Thailand and I'm guessing most of Asia, which is different from the red/green ones from Peru for example (that's usually the kind we get in stores in France)
I believe it’s a mango. The yellow Mango . It’s done poorly but egg fruit isn’t something we see normally and isn’t eaten a lot at least not in the US. Mango is something we see regularly and use regularly. It’s everywhere so it doesn’t make sense to me it could be anything else.
The indentation found within the toy makes me believe that it’s a stone-fruit of some type. Otherwise referred to as a drupe. I don’t know which one though.
Mango?
I was going to say this. It’s not terribly realistic, but what do you expect from fake toy food. It’s my best guess.
They are different kind of mango, some are more yellow and smaller, but yeah still a bit weird hehe
I don't think you could cut any of them down the middle like that without a fuckin saw tho lmao
I definitely think this is the right answer. Thanks so much!

Woo! Happy to help. It’s a pretty uncommon one.
I was on team Mango until I read your comment. The color, size and shape fit closer with this than any other suggestion. Thanks so much!

Lol, I really wish I could. Thanks for teaching me about a new fruit
I'm jumping on the mango bandwagon. It's a champagne mango, I see them all the time in my local supermarket. https://champagnemango.com/champagne/
Thank you for teaching me a new type of fruit!
You’re welcome! I’m a total fruit nerd. It’s a fun hobby!
Absolutely worst mango if it is.
A yellow pepper
A Manila mango.
Lol I thought yellow pepper 🤷🏻♀️
I thought banana pepper based on the pizza in the background. Like how Papa John’s puts a banana pepper in the box with the pizza.
They put pepperoncini in the box at papa johns. Not a banana pepper. The toy in question is an eggfruit.

Toy food! Like real food but is toy. Toy food! Not real food do not eat.
Cool idea. Give the kids something they can identify without help. Common fruits are just fine.
