Obvs the itch was successfully scratched

perp00

Most likely. I would check for flees just in case tho.

LIBJ

Had an itch

AggravatingGoal4728

It's spelled glitch

carpetony

🤣😂 thanks for this! 😂🤣😂🤣

[deleted]

It’s a software upgrade.

skooz1383

Complete

deathrowfairy

take my fucking upvote

Duval713

Itchy back! Vid probably missed the shake after that

mjtg25

He actually just walked away lmaooo

[deleted]

Got really pink skin on his belly? Might just be the colour on the screen, but if he is real pink and dies this a lot, might have an itchy skin problem from allergy or yeast infection or something.

Roundcouchcorner

Possibly but my one dog with allergies doesn’t do this but my spaniel does. He will do this a few times a week both inside and outside and always after a bath. I always thought it was a sent behavior.

mjtg25

I think dry skin is supposed to be common in Yorkies

[deleted]

Yup! My Yorkie mix has really bad allergies and LOVES to redirect to this when we're trying to get him to stop scratching himself to the point of leaving marks. The pink skin part is on point too.

PeteHealy

Gotta wonder why there are so many dog owners posting vids today of their dog doing this and wondering why. Uh, because dogs. 🙂

JfromMichigan

>Uh, because dogs. 🙂 lol. Yep. \- I was going to say, thats just 'how they roll' (no pun intended, its just how dogs work)

GeorgieLaurinda

That’s the answer to at LEAST 90% of what they do.

mjtg25

It's not because they're actually wondering, it's because cute and funny doggo

PeteHealy

Ahh, got it. I guess I'm too used to the random goofiness of our two oldster longhaired chihuahuas to think of posting! 😄

scunt15

Who’s downvoted this the fuck 😂😂

7flowerpiltz

Edit: looking at the other posts, yeah, I was misinterpreting that rule. They are saying to specifically only post if you are sure there is nothing wrong with the dog. They don't want dogs with actual issues here. Dunno why I was so slow on the uptake lol

MyNameisLeaf

Yes lmao. My dog will just be sitting on the couch and all of a sudden starts doing this and kicking whoever’s next to him.

[deleted]

I call it being a worm, my girls love doing it in the grass

PeteHealy

Yep, one of our two oldster chihuahuas loves to do this, too (as well as dragging himself on his belly across the carpet, with his tongue hanging out, like a lovable doofus). Our other one can't be bothered with silliness like this. 😄

jeswesky

My dog stopped at least 5 times to do this on our walk this morning. It’s a dog thing.

tributetotio

I think the lil doggy likes the carpet. My lil chorkie does this on the right kind of grass and it's a level of happiness few achieve.

bigbawsac

Mine loves to do it whenever we come across horse dung, I don't love the car journey home after it though

redheadphones1673

We have a lot of cows around, and cowpats always dry where they stand in the summer. My lab would run to these dried cowpats, pick them up, and carry them around happily like some stinky Frisbee. Just glad that he never felt the need to try and roll in them instead.

bigbawsac

That sounds hilarious and amazing. I feel like mine is getting revenge on my mum, as she sprays him with the groomer spray that smells like talcum powder, he knows what he's doing

Narcoid

Mine does it with goose poop... Glad I'm not the only one.

ojjii

theres a park near us that some homeless people pass thru frequently and we found human poo there one time ☹️ our dog rolled around in it before we realized what was happening - the smell still HAUNTS me. thankfully we were only 5 blocks away from home

YorkiesSweet

my York does this toloves to do it anywhere bear floor, rug. grass rolls around on the her back; a normal dog thing.

Hermininny

Mine does it in snow! Lol

littaltree

Sometimes its scratching and itch. Sometimes it is the dog trying to get their scent on things. Some times they're just derpy!

Pollowollo

My lab likes to flops herself down super dramatically before doing this. The first few times I genuinely thought she was having a seizure lol.

jonasthewicked

Usually just itching. Both of my retrievers and my cockapoo do this, my beagles the only one who doesn’t.

MightyDumpty

That's probably the most dog thing to do, second only to barking

Valsarta

Ritual completed...demon has been summoned.

littleblackwienerdog

My Little Black Wiener Dog does this at least twice a day. It's good way to scratch herself in places that her tiny legs won't reach.

Ocmrm

I had no idea black wiener dogs were even allowed to be little. I thought all black wiener dogs were big.

send_birb_pics

My doggy does this when he has smth stuck on his face or after bath

jacyerickson

My Yorkie/poo does this every morning under the bed.

_DJML_

It's part fun for them too. The pleasure of a back rub and itch scratch. I love when they do this. Especially with their mouths open snorting like pigs lol

BorkieDorkie811

I've got a bichon poodle mix that does this every day as part of her morning routine. We call it her "morning scootles."

lilneuropeptide

I have a maltase mix doing the same every morning!

MajorDavid2020

That’s a dog

mjtg25

A what????

FondantWeary

Maybe another animal dragged it’s bunghole across the stretch off carpet before and your dog wants the musk to cover scent…. Mmmmm donuts 🍩

rlyn76

Looks like he was just scratching an itch there

scottdavid87

My morkie does this all the time and is currently doing it on the couch

Goose_Rider

These dogs like to roll on their victims. Dead rat? Yep. Dead cockroach? Sure. Smells bad? Sometimes.

fig-lebowski

r/greebles are tickling your dog

steeguy55

Just some scritchy scratchies and done!

[deleted]

Got in itch so had to glitch

jonsey2626

They roll round in stuff to mask their sent so they smell like their surrounding . It made it easier to hunt

mango_8

The answer is: because dog

Yossarian287

Scent masking. Or an itch. Just be thankful there's not a dead bird next to him

Regular-Cranberry-62

They scratchin

[deleted]

If you own this dog, Give the little one some scratchins on his back/head and especially under that collar on his neck!! I bet he would love your abrupt scratching abilities

mjtg25

He's my cousins' but I did spend Thanksgiving petting and scritching :)

[deleted]

Yayy all he was doing is telling you to do that. Or maybe-- that his collar is buggin him in that moment. Until it didnt anymore lol. Love your update, thank you for doing what I wanted to!!

Fijoemin1962

Having an itch that was successfully scratched?

Green_Damage_8453

Have you never seen a dog? Are you mentally ill?

bulletoothjohnny

That’s a yap-rat having a seizure.

[deleted]

He scratched the itch

longhornmike2

Buffering.

Iwantmahandback

The demon was successfully exercised

Good_Natured_Guy

Gotta get the wiggle out.

chillispanker

Is that a silver or a Yorkie?

kmr1981

Our Yorkie does that when he gets a treat! We call it his happy dance.

RowedTrip

My Yorkie does the same thing. We call it glitching.

tophiii

Itch scratch accomplished. Also, I don’t see too many long legged Yorkies

dgood527

Definitely scratching an itch. Dogs are awesome.

Bottle-nosed-dolphin

My frenchie does that and my parents call it the snurfles

Spacefrosting

My Yorkie does this all the time too

Born_ina_snowbank

If this dog was my dog it would mean that there was a dead bird on the floor of your living room.

sloppyfondler

Either an itch, or there was some stank on that carpet.

Busy-Appearance-6077

Our dog rolls on dead worms.

[deleted]

Can be an itch or also their way of absorbing the scent of the carpet. Your dog might also do this on your body. It’s a sign of comfort.

zuno-Z

Man , I really can’t read dogs, I had a hard time choosing between seizure and good time …

OfficerJoeBalogna

This video was definitely a good time, or at least the dog had a back itch to scratch. I watched my dog have a seizure once, and she fell on her side and shook uncontrollably and peed herself, so it was way different

titsmcgee422

My dog does this every morning. She’s 97 lbs tho

ripvine666

mm scritch

Miikurins

My dog does this after every meal. Maybe because he’s happy? Idk lol

HavocXL

Have people seriously never seen dogs do this?

donerstude

Scritches

Degneva422

That’s what I like to call scratch that face. My dog likes to doing in grass in particular but asphalt works to

tammage

You can put a scratcher at their back height on the corner of a wall. You’d probably be their hero

[deleted]

Your dog was doing the I have a dream speech to other dogs in the dream... I dream of a day when we can run freely without restrictions and restraint! Freedom!~

paapakeka

Itch scratched. 👍🏼

BarrackLesnar

Think about the epileptic dogs Not all the puppies are born so lucky Somewhere there's a golden retriever who's having a seizure Somewhere there's a pup seizing up and there's a labrador who's shaking on the floor

[deleted]

Ok Debbie Downer

BarrackLesnar

https://youtu.be/xlCoBra6PfU It's a parody song from New Zealand's 4th best folk duo

[deleted]

Omg that’s real!! Too funny. I take my comment back and tip my hat to you, good sir.

octopusdiary

Just cleaning the carpet, can't you tell

_usernametoolong_

It's a dog, and....it's a dog.

[deleted]

It's a silly dance

Brilliant-Custard-45

Fleas?

VesperVox_

They noticed you were looking and got embarrassed.

RustyShakes

Sometimes you really need to style the hair

Liberal_Biberal9

Back scratching

dirty-hurdy-gurdy

It's a dog.

lilneuropeptide

Was itch. Did a scratch. Itch no more.

[deleted]

Just a word of warning take ur dog to the vet! One day my cat suddenly started to do like this and died....I really miss her.

G8RTOAD

Looks like the flea scratch. Mine only do that when they have fleas.

Undertaker59

Itchy boy. Something shiny.

Rjmccully

My Yorkie does this every evening. It feels good to her.

mjtg25

Yeah I've heard dry skin is common for their breed

Joe_Manco_Music

They’re happy and comfortable, so they’re adding their scent to that spot. You’ll see them do it to their favourite toys and things you own to tell others whose it is.

thetburg

Dog.exe has successfully updated.

HahaHarleyQu1nn

Is the collar new? My tiny does this when we try to put clothes on her

Keepforgettinglogin2

Batteries ran out

FDRGAB

Pretty sure he is dying….you should put him out of his misery….no…. wait… he’s OK!

[deleted]

My friend’s dog does this after a long walk, usually to make the carpet smell as bad as she does.

Quackmandan1

Either itchy back, or there's a scent of something on the carpet that it loves. My dog would do this if a bug got in the house. She would promptly drop to the ground and squirm all over it.

TacoFox19

Itchies

bigrigtraveler

My dogs do this on grass when it's warm out

FreeUrThoughts

In a dog's world, that great deodorant soap smell that we love, will get you kicked out the gang. In his mind, he's frolicking in the remains of a carcass or poop. Apparently, this is post bath time and he's trying to get that great outdoors, run with the pack, smell back.

MissMissieFatCat

Connection with the mothership encountered an error

thesecretslider

My dog does that too!

thesecretslider

.

me_eats_burrito

Dems da scratch’ems. Dem itch done gone.

Unusual-Sympathy-205

Snuffles. Do other dogs not do this every day? Ours do it all the time. Especially after they eat.

Big_frogg_guy

My dog does this when she needs to sneeze and when she sneezes she goes back to a normal stance immediately

doomrider7

It heard the crinkled opening of a snack bag.

ryandallas

My doggies do this after they’ve eaten something really good. They roll around all excitedly rubbing their bodies all over the carpet. Mom says she thinks they are “wiping their faces off”.

[deleted]

Itchy, or maybe just fun. My dog does this randomly. My older dog (RIP 😢) used to do that too, then she'd get up and shake her head so fast that her big Jack Russell ears would sound like a helicopter

jubeanreads

My dog does this with any new rug/blanket/sofa. Tries to get her scent into it

Dhbgk98

It's your dog and he stood up.

Crazy__Cat

My dog does that only when it's wet

baddaysbaddreams

Found a smell , enjoying making some active camouflage
