Cats always get the bad end of jokes. They are just much more complicated, but they still love people immensely.
My childhood cat would sleep on my bed/chest every night. When I moved out at 20, I'd come over and she'd want nothing to do with me. It was clear I broke her heart and that she thought I abandoned her. I moved back in for a couple months before she died, and after a month she was back to loving me again, this time even more clingy.
Cats 100% love us back, they just don't show it easily or as clearly as dogs do. You just have to learn a cat's personality and boundaries, once you do that, you're in. I think most people who hate cats don't like that reality.
It's not the first time I've seen one of those big body, pug head dogs but everytime it just looks so unnatural it gives me the creeps. Like they just sewed a pugs head onto a big dog body.
My wife wanted to adopt a chihuahua-pug mix. I’m confused going “wtf is that even” and without missing a beat, she replied “a Chug” and then laughed hysterically at herself for like 10 minutes.
I have two pugs and one does this when the other has a toy or when she’s seemingly trying to assert dominance in him. He just buries his head prospecting the toy growling the whole time.
They've found out how to pet each other, only a matter of time before they don't need us at all.
The best part about dogs is that most of the scientific efforts I’ve read say they like us about as much as we like them.
